Gerald, ever paranoid remains perched on Beetles pack keeping an eye behind the party and ready to respond with Eldritch Blast should things become violent.

Gavin was shocked to hear from the halflings as they said that there are no dangers, having wandered into a tomb and looting it easily. That doesn't make sense, how would that explain all the missing people and the rumors of the undead? "Tombs are sacred places for the dead to rest in peace. Whatever you took from it could be cursed or haunted and now you may have invoked their wrath, dooming not only yourselves but anyone else in this swamp and the town too. Please return those back to the tomb so that the dead can truly be at peace." he told the halflings, not approving of those who disturb the peace by robbing from the dead. Gavin heard Dennar ask about seeing the loot before seeing everyone prepare, keeping his shield up as he also waited to see what would happen next.
Dennar backs away from the the halflings and moves over to the group. "Should we force the issue or allow them to go? I don't seek a fight, but they are grave robbers and may be hiding something." He had a feeling the others would be thinking along the same lines, but he wanted to be sure before acting.
ooc: I guess we can push forward and do what we can :)
"I agree," replies Beetle, "they do seem to be 1 bit too secretive, a lot of half lings I've me are usually friendly and talkative. These seem to be in quite a rush if not from us then from what?"
Hearing the consensus around him Gerald decides to go with the group and hops of Beetles pack and moves so that as many grave robbers as possible are within the 15 cone effect as he unleashes a BURNINNG HANDS spell for 13 fire damage
OCC:
As you hold your hands with thumbs touching and fingers spread, a thin sheet of flames shoots forth from your outstretched fingertips. Each creature in a 15-foot cone must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 3d6 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
The fire ignites any flammable objects in the area that aren't being worn or carried.
OCC: Lol not murder, they are clearly a threat based on the comments by the group - Gerald is easily led and reactionary lol.
Also they have successfully been tomb raiding, 13 damage shouldn't kill anyone but at least its starting something and of course if I am wrong then Gerald can be shocked and apologetic and very embarrassed
The burning hands spell engulfs the cart in flames and burns the halflings quite severely. It also lights most of the cart on fire as well as the loot bags.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dennar is a bit surprised by the fire spell, but moves to support his new allies and while avoiding the flames he moves over to the injured halflings and throws a solid punch towards the nearest one hoping to take them out of the fight.
Gavin had heard the halflings, not too happy with what they said. "That does not matter. You do not steal from the dead." he said back before hearing Dennar and Beetle, nodding back in agreement. Then he was shocked as Gerald unleashed a burning hands spell on the halflings, the cart also in flames. "Someone put out the fire and get those loot bags! If they get burned to ashes, it would only be bad for all of us." Gavin called out, knowing that he had no way to put out those flames himself. He did go closer to the cart but not enough to get caught in the flames, ready to heal someone if they get hit back by the halflings.
Shirin watching as the conversation and negotiation broke down, as Gerald blasts the Halflings with a blinding wave of flames. The others move out to cover the cart and attempt to get the loot and finish the violence. Shirin sighs and takes a few steps back, he wasn't getting involved. He wasn't against such actions but he has no personal issues with the grave robbing, he had only wanted caution. Now his friend group were acting as common bandits. He spoke into their minds as they did as they pleased, "Well what a shift in mood, my companions. I hope you all don't mind me sitting this out, i shall cheer from the side. Woo! You can do it! Get those dirty Halflings! Save the loot! Save it!"
Taking Gavins' words to heart Gerald aims an Eldritch Blast at one of the loot bags trying to use the force of the blast to push it from the burning wagon 18to hit and 8damage to contents if that applies
'Shirin, grave robbing is usually considered abhorrent by all good aligned species. If your personal honour wont allow you to join the fight could you do something to save the loot so that it could be returned to its proper place? I have heard stories of disturbed tombs leading to undead plagues and all sorts of nastiness.'
"No, grave robbing is usually pretty acceptable. Especially from old lost tombs, just don't do it if the occupant has living family. I cannot say I wouldn't do the same if I found the tomb, but I do follow proper procedures with unknown loot. Also, telling me about curses and plagues does NOT make me want to run over and grab it. That is just stupid, my dear Gerald. I will assist then, but if I get sick or cursed I will blame you all." Casually walking to the loot and using his mace to knock the loot into the much under there feet and roll it into the mud.
'Maybe I'm misunderstanding something here but I was thinking the old take the special thing away from the special circle and unleash doom type scenario...
If that's not what's happening then I'm gonna be very embarrassed. Oi you halflings, you plunging the world into doom or just scavenging lost tombs???'
Saying that Gerald steps back a look of confusion on his face and half lowers his hands from their attack posture.
OCC: is it wrong that everytime I reread Fallens leash comment I keep imaging one of those child harnesses that people use on toddlers?

Preparing for anything that could go wrong here Beetle looks towards the half lungs and uses his a Divine Sense ability.

"Ye can't see inside the bags. It's our loot!" the halfling in the back says, hugging the bags.
Divine Sense reveals nothing out of the ordinary
"Return the loot? It's ours now! They weren't usin' it anyway!"
OCC: Is it just me or are we kinda awaiting about 3 or 4 people to come back... I don't want to fill the thread with just me posting lol
Not to mention this character isn't styled to be leader, initiator
OOC: yeah seems like only 2/3 of us posting

Ooc: Walk ins are like that, they get bored or find others and say nothing but vanish. Still, it is hard to find a good pbp campaign
