Belialuin shouts from outside "Are we done with the "playing dead" prank guys ? Should I come inside ?" As he makes his way in between the cave and looks at the group grinning mildly. 

With Wormsquirt still trying to catch his breath and wiping tears from his face, you all make it inside without incident.

OOC: What are folks doing for light as many of you don't have dark vision?

OOC: Mysti casted Light on her warhammer a few posts back (post #503)

Mysti cast Light on her Warhammer, does that give light for others?  How wide is the passageway now? Are we still single file?

OOC: Can we retcon Mysti's healing spell so as to not waste the slot. My thinking is it wouldnt have been cast because I sat up before it was cast?

ooc: Oops sorry Mysti, I missed that! And yes, Mysti did not cast the healing on you. You started laughing in time for her to stop the cast.

So you can all see the cavern now and looking down into it you realize there are parts that are very steep. The floor is also covered in a kind of damp algea that makes it slippery in some areas. As far as you can see into the crevasse it stays roughly the same size.

 So we're still at marching order?

Where you are now is at the top of the chasm and it's started to opened up to the 15' width. So I don't need a marching order. You have some room to move around eachother

Zarbof begins to head carefully down the slope, looking at the rock/stone to see if he can tell whether it's been worked by the gnoll or if it's all natural. 

OOC: Not expecting to gain any real info. Literally just looking for an excuse to use my dwarven Stonecunning!

Zarbof, it's good you did that check. You can see the stone is natural. You also see that you're going to slide down if you go any further. The floor is slick with the algae and smooth. It also dose look as if it's been worn by traffic, but not any recent use.

Thorum (and Wormsquirt to most extent) you do not perceive any gnolls. You can tell that the smell is from something that has rotted long ago. You can hear some water dripping sounds somewhere off in the distance

OOC: I'm not 100% sure of how time passage works but when an hour expires Mysti will re-cast Light

Mysti says.."I have 50 ft. of  rope that we may want to utilize if we plan to descend any further."

 Zarbof takes out a hammer and piton, and hammers the piton firmly into a small crack in the rock, creating a firm anchor for Mysti to tie the rope to.

OK, You've got a piton and rope set up.

Zarbof takes the rope and eases his way down the slope.

(I figure with darkvision, 26HP and 18AC, it makes sense for me to go first? Unless we wanted to stealth, in which case Wormsquirt might have been better, but that only really works if we all roll decent stealth, right? Plus, Zarbof isn't keen to let Wormsquirt go first again! lol)

Unless anyone has issue with that you begin to make your way down.

Even though you have the rope the floor is very slick in spots and I'll need an athletics check with advantage for using the rope.

OOC: What does "nothing recent" mean? Nothing in the last few hours? Weeks? Years? Do I have any clue? I'm fine with not having a clue, just asking.
