Sinjin was worried about getting the dirt off his robe at the moment. 'Agh I can't go into town with dirt on my robes.' he thought to himself and used a Little square of cloth from his backpack and a few drops of water from his own water skin to touch himself up.
Tordal slips the 2 cp into his Coli purse before taking the brass key, turning it over in his hands, and slipping it into the purse for safe keeping.
"I'm ready. We've lost enough time here, let's see if we can't find the bar they were talking about and with a little luck maybe we can find the lock that this key belongs to."
You head out in the direction that was indicated, carefully scanning for any other trouble along the way. It's an uneventful journey and after a couple hours of walking you pickup a well worn trail heading the way you want to go. Following the trail you see in the distance what you assume Milo meant when saying a town. It's really just a collection of a few shabby looking dwelling scattered on either side of the path.
“This could be it... Dippis place I think it was? The way i see it, we have two options here. We set up camp, put a sentry or two, and send someone out to stake out the place. Or we run headfirst in and ask some questions.”
Vail pauses for a moment and rolls himself another cigarette using the tobacco he looted from the fallen bandit.
”in leaning to the former because I don’t think Dippi seems to be a fan of Blobbins guests.”
he pulls out his small bottle and tosses it to Tauriel, knowing she’s probably as “thirsty” as he is.
”We could flip a coin?”
OOC: how many hours of sunlight are left and how cold is it if we need to make a camp and not make a fire to try and be super sneaky. Survival check for these?
Ooc: it's a little before mid day and it's lovely spring weather. You don't think it would get much lower than 55 overnight so you wouldn't need a fire for warmth
"A great plan Vail, why don't you and Tauriel go investigate the ba- .... On second thought, I don't think a whole lot of work would get done with you two in a bar. Sinjin, why don't you take one of them in with you and see what you can find out"
Sinjin looked at both of them and pointed to Vail "You, c'mon let's go get some information." He waved Vail to follow him before heading to the bar.
"I hate to be a downer my friend, but we're here to get information so no drinking..yet.." Sinjin laughed a bit while looking for the bar, maybe he could spot a sign or something.
"Hmm I wonder what that look he gave me was about?" mutters Tauriel. Hey Mr. Oslamir where should we head since those two are scouting ahead for information? I wouldn't want to be too far behind them or else we'd have to waste time trying to locate each other.
Ok, as long as everyone is good with that Olsamir and Sinjin head down the trail towards 'town'. As you get closer you can see the 'bar' is a front porch of one of the houses that has a copper ladle hanging from it. There's a couple small tables and stools on the porch and weathered looking follow sitting in a rocking chair.
Sinjin sees the guy on the chair and heads towards him. He observes the individual for a moment "Excuse me sir. Sorry to bother you, my name is Sinjin. Do you mind if we ask you some questions?" The gnome asked politely.
He gets up from his chair and heads to keg behind one of the tables "2 then" he says already pouring. "Depends on what you consider trouble I suppose. Most folk don't have to copper to rub together and I got a leaky roof, but I spose you're wondering about some them Tiefling we had in here not long ago filling some folks heads with nonsense.
"An excellent idea. A round of whatever you're drinking on me. As for our questions, we understand some caravans from Fyr'Rel Lolora have gone missing. We were wondering if they passed by here or if you have any idea what might have happened to them. Also, we understand some Tieflings may have been here recently? We would appreciate anything you can tell us about them as well."

OK, so SInjin has cleaned himself up and looks pretty good considering he has just climbed out of a hole. Tauriel has also gotten herself cleaned up.
Tordal, looking closer at the key you see it doesn't have any distinguishing marks but looks well used.

“Anyone else want to take a look at this key? Finding its lock will be like a needle in a haystack.”
Vail tosses the two CP to tordal.
”Indeed, my better days are behind me. Forgive my my transgressions, I’ll take a blessing, here’s a donation for the church.”
”Ready everyone? You look great Sinjin, well minus the gnome part. And being old.” He says with a smile
"A smart ass as always..."

"Mr. Tordal worst case scenario I can always break open the lock that key opens to! So we wont even really need it," happily adds Tauriel.

She catches the bottle and chugs half of it down. "Aaaah. Thanks Mr. Vail. It's just me but I'm all for the headfirst option."
