Setting the drinks on the table he says "6 copper. Yup. They had a ill look. Lots of coin though. They were throwing money around and saying how easy pickens has been. They were asking if we'd seen elf folk this way. I don't remember anything about a caravan mentioned"
Oslamir tosses 6 copper on the table, "Did they happen to say anything about where they were heading or anything that might help us find them? Also, how many of them were here? Did they carry weapons of any kind?"
Ooc: well I THOUGHT sinjin picked me lol. Can Tauriel and I do some recon and surveillance of the target? Stealth check?
occ: we're just talking to a guy sitting on his porch. You are welcome to join the conversation. Not sure what you mean by recon the target. What target?
It doesn't take long for the rest of the party hanging back long to realize there's no danger here. It's just a run down kinda shanty town and looks.safe.
Dippi says that they were talking about watching some elf who came through who was poking into their business but seemed happy he had left for some fancy farm. That's when they started filling peoples heads with ideas about the fancy folk at the farm. They left a couple days ago headed east. He says there were 4 of them. He also says that they offered good coin to anyone bringing word of more fancy folk coming through. Said they would stay camped about a half a day from hear for 3 days if anyone saw anything
Nodding to you as thanks for the coin he says "They didn't mention any names but they did mention a few things about him" What he describes the Tieflings mentioning about the elf does match the description of Fyr'ta
Vail leans in to whisper to some of the group. “So this explains why they wanted to rob the elf, but he doesn’t mention anything about the wagons. Do we think they are linked or are the Tieflings just inciting local cutpurses to extort coin. What exactly has the elf been shipping”
Vail slams down the beer Tordal just purchased.
”I’ll do another. But you have to buy. The only coins I had I gave you out of the goodness of my heart.”
"We can't assume anything but the fact that these Tieflings were watching Fyr'ta and felt he was asking about their business would imply they are connected to the attacks on the caravans. I think our next step is clear. We should look for their camp. He said they are about a half day east from here and if they are waiting three days they should still be there. I say we pay them a visit and have a little chat. If we're lucky we may be able to suprise them. Just remember we can't question anyone if they're dead," Oslamir says. "Unless anyone has further questions, should we head out?"
Dippi overhearing something about 'local cut-purses' looks somewhat offended "Hey now, we're mostly good folk around here. Some of us is just on our luck that's all! When a group of folk come in throwing around coin and talking about all them fancy folks at that halfling farm, well, that would be tempting to just about anyone!"
He start going into tales of some of the local folks, like old Jebedi who had his foot crushed by that ox and can't work his fields now, and Milli who lost her son when he fell out of that tree, etc. In general just painting a pretty grim scene of life in this little town.
"Oh could you tell me more about Jebidi? I've been stepped on by Pa's ox before and it hurt A LOT. I mean, I accidentally got mad and let's just say we had steak for dinner...but that's besides the point."
"Jebidi, well he was a good old fella. Don't think he ever hurt a fly but turned awful sour after his missus left him. Once that foot got busted and he couldn't work the fields the money just dried up and she up and left him! just like that. Can you imagine leaving a man like that while he's down. Well good riddance to her I say. Don't need folks like her around here anyway!"
Then looking at you a little crooked he says "Meaning no offense but isn't that kinda like eating your kind?"

"An elf poking around and leaving for some fancy farm, you don't think he means Fyr'ta, do you?"
"Maybe we could ask how long ago this elf was here? It sounds possible but I'm not too sure."
"If you're talking to me Mister Dwarf I ain't answering without you buying a drink" he says while readying a few more cups.

"Did you catch the elf's name? What else did you hear?" Tordal says while slipping a handful of copper coins on to the bar, "another round!"
