You can recall that they speak dwarvish and undercommon. Also that they're resilient. Poison doesn't effect them much and they are hard to effect with illusion, spells, charms and paralysis. You've also heard stories of Large Duergar who are very strong.

And I share my knowledge with the others as we decide. "Who speaks dwarf or undercomon? "
"I speak Minotaur!" Tauriel says while raising her hand. "But the large Duergar sounds dangerous...what if we just left him a thank you note right here and went further down?"
Sinjin says "Well not that these old bones are good for chases but I think we should get him now or go back up and get re-reinforcements. What if we're giving him time to rally some friends? Wish I had known we'd find a maze down here. I would have spent some time getting a familiar to scout ahead"
You all start making your way down the tunnel. Some of you are going to need light. (I'm going to assume that Tordal lights up Vails sword again) The passage starts making it's way downhill and curving to the left steeply after a short time. As you start rounding the corner you hear the ringing of metal on metal stop. As you come out of the curve you see the passage open up into a room. It's setup as a forge and you see 3 Duergar. One who is obviously the smith carrying a huge hammer, one who Tauriel recognizes and the other who appears to be a helper. Just as you see them and they see you the helper goes to a rack of finished weapons and grabs an odd looking pick.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: Wooh boy, guess we're doing this...5
"Um, hi...we're, obviously not from around here, and we..." Saada trailed off when she noticed the forges and new weapons. "...were wondering if you are willing to sell some of those weapons to us? I'm mean, we're in the market for a few new weapons and lo and behold! A blacksmith! Just hammering away down here in darkness. I mean, what the odds!"
"Not sure, maybe dwarvish. Maybe undercomon. I imagine they could learn others just as some of us have. "
If anyone wants to give me a History check for recalling info on them?

"dwarvish is the language of my people, I should be able to communicate with him. Maybe I should lead the way as we search got him."
“I speak undercommon as well...”
"If it's just him..."

"Good point. Anyone who can speak his languages and see down here up front."
Estes will grab a couple small rocks again before beginning down the tunnel.
"Onward!" says Tauriel from the back of the group.
Ooc: i think for revised marching order?
tordal, vail, Estes, Saada, sinjin, Tauriel?
edit, also ooc: are we being sneaky? Or just going lights out?
Order is fine and he knows we're here so I'm not worried about stealth

You give them pause Saada. You can tell they don't understand you by the tilt of their heads but they also don't make any to attack.

Hard whisper "nicely start talking their language."
Saada whispers back. "I don't speak dwarvish or undercommon. Tordal, Vail, give me hand here."
