As you climb the room a brazer flares yo arrive to a round, high-ceilinged cave. It has two narrow exits, one leading north and the other south. A flat boulder sits in the center of the cave. It’s about six feet across, eight feet long, and three feet high. Dark stains color its top. a foul odor hits your noses from the north. And a joyful tune comes to your ears from the south.
Bruce: The two slumped bodies resemble the ones that were carrying the box. but they sitting on the floor lifeless with empty eyes and stiff faces.

Bruce calls down to the rest of the group. "The box carriers dead. Won't trick Bruce again." Bruce moves over to the slumped bodies and swings his greatsword at one of them

After Bruce climbs the rope, Decus will follow, stopping only momentarily as his eyes peep over the top to make sure he isn't going to get hit with something, then finished the climb. He watches as Bruce "attacks" the bodies, but immediately his ear is drawn to the sound of the tune coming from the south.
OOC: Do I recognize the tune, what instrument it's being played with, how well it's being played? Not sure if this would be an intelligence check or not, I'll roll one just in case.
With your bardic training you know have heard this tune before its commonly heard in noblemen courts, you can't recall the name completely however.
-is it " the something something and the fair... made"??- It sounds awfully played on a out of tune cord instrument, at some point you hear that it stops and starts again.
Bruce gets his sword out not wanting to take any risks with this monsters and hits one of them hard in the head ripping it half way leaving only some piece of skin. Arix sees this and with the years of training in the monastery hits twice, and rips the head off which goes flying into the flames the headless body slumps over, even MORE DEAD now.
SURPRISE ROUND on the zombies. Bruce and Arix already got their turns. 50 exp each!

As Bumble pops her head over the edge, she processes a number of things happening in quick succession. The faint song, the odor, the teammates hacking at one of the dead bodies on the floor. Narrowing her eyes suspiciously at the other body, she decides the others have the right idea and casts a Ray of Frost at the other dead body before it can get chomping.
Throwing it's torch over the ledge, Tralin only hopes it does not go out while he is climbing the rope. At his arrival he grabs the torch from the ground and readies himself for combat, but seeing how quickly Bruce and Arix took care of one of the undead, Tarlin is not that worried.
(Climbing 10 ft = 20 ft of movement; used action to throw the torch and last part of the movement to "draw" the torch from the ground; no more actions to take this turn)
Taman climbs the last and sees his companions attacking the two zombies. Seeing no need to hit the already hacked bodies, and not wanting to be closer to the rotting corpses than the strictly necesary, he takes a couple of steps towards the cave with the sound and says to Decus.
"Do you recognize the tune? Can you play it too to see if that changes? It seems to repeat itslef..."
The monk looks around the room they have reached, trying to determine the function of the flat boulder on its center. He then turns around, approaching the north entrance, on guard just in case the stench came from more zombies.
Taman: roll Investigation for the purpose of the boulder .
Also Taman as you walk to the northern entrance and the stench of death hits your nose, you catch a thing just on the corner of your eye (passive perception).
Everybody goes up the rope, your partners already procured, its an easy task for such seasoned experts, you arrive to the room. and see that almost everyone is attacking one of the two corpses found there, you see the dark spots and as you watch closely you see that the stains have not been there for a lot of time.
Bumble: You cast your spell and a light blue light is expelled from your hands and hits the second corpse, small ice cristal start forming around the flesh the corpse rises a hand and starts to stand but his movement starts to slow down.
Ezquiel: roll hit and damage since is a surprise round, for the corpses had not been "active".

Decus nods at Taman, "I believe I can" he reaches into his bag and pulls out his Lyre. He begins to play in sync with the instrument in the room adjacent, make subtle changes to enhance the experience.
Shade made the climb up with relative ease once the way was clear. Ignoring the carnage and massive boulder, the real mystery at hand was the fork in the road. "Sweet music, certain death. It seems we have a cult of necromancers judging by the zombies and robes. Could be that the deathly odor down the hall is a dumping ground for bodies or something far worse. Didn't the sign at the entrance say something about a lord of disease of something?"

Decus began to sing along with the song aloud, unknowingly "Oh come they said, oh come to the fair! The fair? Said he, but I'm a bear! All black and brown, and covered with hair!". He never realized before but the lyrics to this particular tune held special meaning to him, he often felt like a bear in this land. People saw him as curious, but dangerous. Like a bear in the market he drew all eyes to him, people questioned, 'Is he going to eat us?', when all he wanted was to lick the maidens hair clean of the honey.
Arix there's only the boulder and the brazier, the boulder has strange runes to it, you can't read them but know from your time in training these are from a necromancer.

Bumble shakes her head dubiously, looking back and forth at the two paths. "If it's a choice between music and a pile of probably-dead-maybe-zombies, I'm going to vote we check out the music first. There's obviously someone alive in here, maybe if we can talk to them and they don't try to kill us right away we can figure out what's going on here." She eyes the boulder and its runes, then nods at Shade. "A group of necromancers seems likely. I doubt this many dead bodies would simply get up and wander away on their own, and that flat rock looks suspiciously like some kind of sacrificial altar." Walking carefully over to the boulder, she carefully examines the runes to see if she can recognize any of them from her studies.
Bumble: you start going around the boulder, reading the runes, you can see the ancient arcane invocations to Orcus, prince of the undead, for the retrieval of the corpses and the loyalty of the bodies sacrificed here.you also spot what looks like a mistake, but since that magic was forbidden in the academy you really can't figure out the implications of this.
