OOC: Not sure why the manipulated roll banner is there, the d4 result has changed every time I make an edit however, even though I haven't altered it at all. The roll was originally three and when I click on it says "3=3" no matter what number it shows in the text, not that it makes a big difference.
Scamper's "Little Lighting" has caused a chain reaction of chaos. Little Lighting, who seemed to freak out being so close to so many other dinosaurs, charged across the start line, turned around, and ran back. Unfortunately, (or fortunately, depending on who you are) Little Lightning's panic attack tripped a few unlucky mounts. Only Henry's Ytepka, a large duck-billed dinosaur, and a sail-backed lizard are able to move forward.
(I tried to put my new picture of the track in here, but it didn't work. Hyperlink to the image is there. Henry is red, Scamper is yellow, Jasuri is blue.)
Inside of the betting house, Gimdir sees various books and papers. A man at a closed-off counter greets you
"Are ya here to bet on the games?"
Before he waits for a reply, he continues
"Glad ya said so. See those charts over there? (He points to a large piece of parchment on the wall) Those are the racing logs. You can base your bets off of those. If ya want a big payout, bet on a racer with a low score (low odds of winning). If ya know ya want to win something, bet on a good racer. They won't pay much, but at least ya know you'll win something."
The chart currently shows 9 racers, but Henry, Jasuri, and Scamper are added below. The odds for Henry and Jasuri are set at 1:7 and the odds for Scamper are set at 1:6. The other racers are in this chart:

Henry keeps his eyes forward on the direction he wants to go, encouraging the dinosaur forward.
Animal Handling: 8
He says to Fizz, "I can see you are having fun Fizz but I am going to need you keep me updated on the dinosaurs behind me. Let me know if any racer makes a push to overtake."
Fizz turns around so that he is still sitting on the dinosaurs head but is facing backwards instead so he can see behind Henry. "If I must Gramps."
(Henry doesn't think that trickery would be allowed. If he wanted to, Henry could try to be sneaky about casting spells.)
This time, Henry's lizard acts up while Jasuri and Scamper progress. Jasuri charges ahead and catches up to Henry. Both the duck-billed dinosaur and the sail-backed dinosaur are able to keep up, and a new lizard (that looks like Henry's only larger) takes the first position. Up ahead, you see an enormous palace.
Jasuri digs in his heels lust a little, apparently too little, in an attempt to get Little Bob going even faster.
Animal Handling: 13
OOC: That dinosaur from the last race was pretty violent. Can we attack other dinosaurs, or can our mounts? Also, can we take actions other than steering our mount our do we have to give it our full attention to not fall off?
(You can take actions while riding, however, doing this gives you disadvantage on your animal handling roll. If you want to have your animal attack, make another animal handling check.)
Henry really seems to have a way with these lizards. He once again powers ahead of all of the other contestants. Jasuri follows relatively close behind, and Scamper begins to catch up with Jasuri. The duck-billed and sail-backed lizards once again run close behind Henry.
As Henry begins to approach the palace, he notices a large metal gate blocking his path. A few guards are desperately trying to open the gate, but it appears to be stuck. If any of you succeed your next animal handling checks, you will need to roll an additional check to have lizard jump over the gate.
"Go Little Lightning go!!!" She freaks out a little as she approaches the closed gates and closes her eyes as she does her best to get the lizard to leap.
The pair go sailing over the gates and land gracefully on the other side. Scampers eyes are still tightly shut, until she feels Little Lighting galloping along happily beneath her.
Jasuri looks around at the other riders, trying to get a sense of their strengths and weaknesses, until he looks forward to see some of them sailing over the gate.
"$#@^*!!"
Animal Handling: 7
And for the Jump: 8 I guess I'm taking the second use of lucky 22
Henry once again shows his amazing control over his lizard. Meanwhile, Jasuri's dinosaur seems scared of the gate, allowing Scamper to take Jasuri's place.
(Jasuri: 36. Henry: 60. Scamper: 40)
For Scamper, Gimdir, and Jasuri
As Scamper and Jasuri ride their dinosaurs, they see Henry suddenly stop moving. Both of you notice that his eyes have gone blank and turned dark grey. After a few convulsions, his face twists to sheer terror, and he stares at a point in the sky. After around twenty seconds of this, you both hear a sickening crackle, and you watch countless bystanders to the race turn into blackened, charred corpses. They look almost as if their souls were slowly drained from their bodies, and their blank eyes stare at something neither of you can see.
While Gimdir watches the race from his rooftop vantage point, the air around him suddenly grows cold. Regardless of this, he continues to watch, but can't help feeling like something is wrong. After a few moments, he is proved correct. The bodies of many other spectators deflate and bend into inhuman corpses, and, from his elevated spot, Gimdir sees blue-black flames erupting seemingly from nowhere all over the city.
For Henry Only:
As you power ahead on your dinosaur, your vision begins to grow dark, and your skin grows cold. You watch as the skies darken, and a twisted, bloated figure appears in the clouds. The dark form seems to be only barely attached to this plane, and you see an umbilical-cord-like tendril leading from the monstrosity to a point in the sky. The vaguely humanoid shape stretches out an arm towards you, and you freeze in fear as a cloud of dark vapor spreads from the creature's fingertips. The gas takes the shape of a snake with its mouth open wide, seemingly in horror, and it glides down to the city. You watch, unable to help, as the snake strikes the city ten, twenty, thirty or more times. Wherever the spectral serpent attacks, blue-and-black flames sprout up, and the screams of the poor city goers shake your bones. Before the snake retreats, it strikes one more time (near you), and you see spectators to the race crumple into charred corpses. However, as the haunting spirits finally leave your sight, you notice that nobody around you seems put off by these terrifying events. All of the living spectators continue to cheer, and even your fellow adventurers look just as they did before. And just as you feel that this horrid vision has finally come to an end, a deep, booming voice fills your mind: "ALL ENEMIES OF LORD ACERAK WILL BE DESTROYED. RESISTANCE WILL BE CRUSHED. WELCOME THE MASKED LORD, AND HIS SERVANTS WILL FREE YOU" As your vision returns to normal, the booming voice is replaced by the sounds of screaming men, women and children. People now point in horror at the twisted frames of those who were so unfortunate to be slaughtered by the figure in your vision. Make a DC 15 Charisma Saving Throw or gain one level of madness (I'll explain that if you fail)
