Still worried about Snack Wensa takes her over to Skeeksbad. ”Skeeksbad smart about animals yes? Snack not like Snack. Skeeksbad think humans hurt Snack?”
Skeekbad snatches a magnifying glass from Gizzmo's pack and puts it in her orbital socket like a monocle and holds Snack firmly but gently, alternating between peering at the rat, then sniffing it.
medicine : 11
Finally she gives it a lick, and hands it back to Wensa.
(ooc: will wait on DM to see if anything is discovered.)
And you guessed it, magical effects will not work in the cage. You have no idea what they are. Do you shoot Jallmur full of this unknown liquid? One or both? Is Jallmur going to allow this?

You taste ale on the rat and you can smell the ale on its breath. Snack is currently intoxicated from floor ale. You assume if you keep licking the rat, you'll both be drunk.
"Gizzmo doesn't know what these do, do you want to take them Jallimur? He was going to give them to the Pirate." He also thinks maybe they were going to inject them into Pirate's opponent, but he doesn't say that. That would be confusing. Is the pirate trainer still around? Gizzmo will ask him.

No, he rushed out with Arathra and crew trying to save him before he dies. I will say you can try an arcana check on them: 19 (I'll roll just to save some time)
The blue one you can tell is a regeneration type potion. You've heard it called "blue slumber." It will give you the benefits of a long rest without the rest. The black one is still a mystery potion.
Skeekbad climbs into the ring and leads Jallmur out so they can watch the next match while she tends to his wounds. "Jallabub, eat berries. They make Jallabrup full and gassy, but also feel better." She force feeds him a handful of goodberries and then rubs his belly with a stinky oily red salve. "Sit there, this good for Jallamorb."
Jallmur eats all of the berries (he now has 27/28 hitpoints). He counts all of the fingers that Skeekbad waves in front of his face (including the 3 fingers that are not raised) very slowly and responds:
"That is... five fingers!"
After that, he talks to Gizzmo about the syringes.
"Why are the juices in a pointy container? Jallmur confused. Are you supposed to drink them and them stab annoying fleshy people in cage with the pointy bit? (and after a long pause) Hmm. Hmmmmmm. Okay. Jallmur has idea. Gizzmo use magical powers to tell Jallmur what the drugs are. Then, Jallmur will decide if he will take the drugs."
Skeekbad looks Jallmur over and nods her head. She hands Jallmur three magic stones. "Jallabrrrr ready. Throw these at enemy. Hurt them like wuff-bite!" She shakes her ceremonial spear at Jallmur and the hanging bones clatter against each other. She yawns looking a bit drowsy, then waves Jallmur away.
If Gizzmo steps outside of cage will identify spell work for him?
You get a feeling it would work, yes, but your sleight of hand check will be contested with against Oznac and the wizard ref. There's a good chance those items will be confiscated.
Putting snack back in her coin pouch. "Wensa not know Snack drunk. Snack sleep now. Wensa need Snack soon." Joining the others. Wensa starts discussing what to do next in goblin to make sure no sneaky smelly humans overhear.
Before the ring is cleared Gizzmo stands there, syringes in hand. The blue one seems like it would help, explaining it's called "Blue Slumber." The effects are that of a long rest without sleeping. The other one he is unsure about. It is a dark, almost black liquid. The other team's coach did not say what it was when he left, just that you would thank him if you were to use it.
Are you trusting the other team's meds or are you not going to use them? There's a good chance of being caught using them outside of the ring. You assume that would be grounds for disqualification at the least.

The second fight begins between a heavily armored high elf and a dwarven fighter. The fight starts with the introductions of fighters.
"In the right corner, fighting out of the Forest Hills is Dorethau the mutilator!" She screams out and swings her large greatsword. She is almost foaming at the mouth to spill blood. "Not only will she spill the blood of this elf, but she will also spill the blood of the goblin soon after!"
The elf is more reserved, pacing in his corner, large mace in hand. "I bring to you tonight, a son in the eye of the mighty God Tempus, a high elf with known to many throughout the lands of Faerun. He will destroy this savage dwarf with the help of his mace, Flamefell!" The elf holds his mace high and allows a flame to build in his hand. "I bring to you, the godly son, Luven Xilnorin!"

The battle between the elf and dwarf is long drawn out. You're not sure if it were for the spectacle or the fighters were that good. Handaxes and fire bolts cut thorugh the air. The elf's shield is bashed with the dwarf's longsword. It splinters into pieces. The elf's mace gets a few good hits in on the dwarf fighter, but those strikes are unable to take her down. The fight comes to an abrupts end when the dwarf is able to impale the elf througgh the stomach with her sword. He fall to his knees and bleeds out. The elf's crew rushes in, but it does not appear there is anything they're able to do. They move much less quickly than Arathra's crew. The crowd is going wild. The dwarf woman is covered in some of her blood, but mostly the elf's.
They announce the winner to the crowd. "I give to you tonight's other finalist, Dorethau the mutilator!"
While Wensa is distracting oznac, Gizzmo casts identify on black potion.
If you’re going to try to take it out of the cage and cast identify on it, I need a sleight of hand check. It will be contested by Oznac and the wizard ref. If you’re caught, you’ll be disqualified or worse. Just want to make that clear before you try.
You do notice that the wizard and Oznac are by your corner, just outside the cage. Now is probably your only chance to get away using it undetected.
You're not really sure what is going on with Snack.
