After entering the painting, you find yourself in an expansive forest. Everyway you look is an endless forest, except for the way you came in. No frame of anything like that. It appears the shop just immediately starts in this forest scene. You can still see the shop you just exited. There seems to be a worn path that you currently are standing on. The three of you feel a bit nauseous from entering into this painting.
After following the path about 100 yards, you come to a wooden chest sitting on a stone pedestal. The path continues past the chest as far as you can see. The chest has a large lock on the front, but you do not see a keyhole.
If Jallmur finds another door, he will check if it is locked and then jump through the painting. If not, he will do as Gizzmo said and jump through the painting.
Jallmur looks around at the forest in awe and stares suspiciously at the chest when he sees it. After that, he tries to look for a way to open the box.

Skeekbad
Skeekbad consults the bones again, grabbing a fistful from her pouch and rolling them on the ground. She looks at the bones, then at the chest, shaking her spear and bone charms over both while walking in a circle.
[When you say the path goes on for as far as we can see, do you mean off into the distance or does it go around a curve into the woods?]
Gizzmo activates his tinker's glove and detect magic
"We should check it for traps or see if we can open it?"
The path, mostly straight as far as you can tell continues straight past the chest. Your tinker's glove does not work like it should inside this world of magic. Everything is aglow with magical energy.

You would assume the lock is locked by magical means. Normally a lock like this needs to have a command word spoken to open the lock.
Noise rings out as Wensa tugs on the lock and Gizzmo starts to rattle the chest. From the trees, four dryads make their appearance. They are tree people and have been hiding, watching you, blended in with the rest of the forest. They slowly begin to surround you but stop short as a white unicorn gallops toward you in the opposite direction you walked to get to the chest. The unicorn stops and looks over your group, "you're not the usual visitor to this place."
"My name is Wilbur,"he says. You know notice he almost talks with a southern drawl. "And no, no pie here. If you're here for the box, you should know what's locked away in the box." The dryad's have moved in even closer at this point, but have made no threatening actions.
While the others have been talking to the unicorn flippantly, Skeekbad has fallen to her knees and is blubbering like a child seen her dreams come to life. "Such... majesty... Skeekbad thought... Skeekbad was told that unicorns were not real! Wilbur is real! Wilbur be Skeekbad's friend?" She crawls toward the unicorn, one hand outstretched, her face is a mess of tears and snot.
"Unicorns are as real as they come! And of course, Wilbur will be your friend." Wilbur will move his head down so you can pet his snout. "You came for what is in the box, yes?"
Wensa
"Goblins look in painting. Got it." Wensa runs after Skeekbad diving toward the painting.
Gizzmo
To Wensa "do you think we should leave the front door open, so it looks like we went that way?"
To Jallimur "I f you don't find another door leave the front one open and cone jump through the painting."
Gizzmo takes Charlotte and goes into the painting.

Gizzmo
"I think we should follow this path and get out of sight of this window as soon as possible."
Gizzmo dons his tinker's glasses and studies the path and landscape to make sure that he can find his way back.

Skeekbad
Skeekbad follows along the path, galloping on all fours.

Wensa
”Gizzmo so smart. Gizzmo think Wensa get pie on this trail? Wensa like pie.“
Wensa runs following after Skeekbad. After a few steps Wensa decides she must be running the wrong way and tries to emulate Skeekbad.
Dexterity : 12
She avoids face planting but is also not great at it and stops after a bit. Sad that she will have to continue running the wrong way, on two feet.
Gizzmo
"Wensa, if we get out of this in one piece, I will buy you some pie." He told Jallimur to climb through so he is keeping an eye out for him.
Wensa
”Gizzmo so nice.”
(Been a busy few days. Sorry goblin crew!)

Wensa
”Wensa not know how to check for traps. Wensa open.“ Wensa grabs the lock and tugs as if to open it.
Gizzmo
Gizzmo will inspect the chest and lock as well. Is he able to lift the chest? Perhaps there is something in the pedestal.

Jallmur cannot seem to find any way to open the lock. There is no keyhole like an ordinary lock.
