Brixo falls in with Waz, uttering a small prayer to the gods of stone and rock. As he does, the skin of his companions, as well as their armour, marbles and the pigment warps. After a few seconds, all of the members of the party realise that they have an appearance now akin to the stone around them, and struggle even to see their friends who they know are mere feet away.
[OoC]: Brixo cast pass without trace on all of the members of the party, including Rhubble and any other dwarves accompanying. It lasts 1 hour, and gives everybody a +10 bonus to stealth rolls (so Wazzok's check is actually 32). Additionally, we do not leave tracks and cannot be tracked except by magical means.
Wazzok approaches the gaping hole, making no more noise than a shadow. She finds hersee on a narrow shelf, with a ten foot drop to the cavern below. Inside the cavern, illuminated by a luminescent green lichen which ckats the walls, she sees four duergar arguing in hushed undertones. But more terrifying still are the two ogres who mindlessly shamble into each other, the wall, and sometimes an inattentive duergar. Their skin is grey and mottled, and in some places the flesh has been torn away to reveal putrifying organs. One of them holds in it's hands the grisly remains of some unidentifiable creature, which it occasionally takes a bite from.
Inquiry, the words are in Undercommon, but from this distance they are hard to make out clearly. You manage to catch the words "Necrohammer," "Filthy surface dwarves," and "Gracklstugh."
Brixo whispers to Waz as he is crouched next to her, "What do you suggest? I believe these things disappear. I can light them to stop disappearing." he offers.

Wazzok looks at the ogres for a while, disgust clearly showing on her face. The duergar, she has heard of, but never seen and so piques her curiosity more than anything. Something in her longs to lash out immediately, to try to slaughter them all her lonesome, but she knows implicitly that it would be suicide to try to do this alone.
We must be wary. I have no experience in combat with dark dwarves. And ogres are formidable opponents. Despite the state of these two, I believe they will be no different. Let us regroup with our allies to prepare before we strike. Once we are prepared, then I think whatever advantage you can afford us we will need.
(OOC: Trying to get Bless and those party buffs before we get beat up by ogres.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Inquiry sneaks up beside them and kneels down, hoping to get closer to hear more of both conversations. Daedalus hops off her horn and settles on the rocks, preening.
“If you wish to go back and rally more troops, Dae can remain here. If one of you is willing to guide me back with you, I can even keep a lookout through his eyes. Just know that I will not be easily accessible during that time.”
Chazrael stands by, holding his bow and waiting for his companions. As they get closer, he chuckles at the site of Wazzok carrying Inquiry over her shoulder.
Wazzok (who is a girl btw) doesn't even bother to set Inquiry down as she goes back to speak with everyone.
"Four dark dwarves and two ogres ahead," she says quietly, "best we prepare ourselves."
She whispers a prayer in orcish to the Ilneval the god of war and cunning and half-bloods and she, Cori, and Chazrael are all under the effects of his blessing.
"If there's nothing else, we should strike while we can catch them off-guard."
"No nice magics for Brixo? I see how is." The genasi says with a wink. He huddles back over and prepares to cast faerie fire when the party are ready to pounce.

Wazzock finds a comfy spot to lay Inquiry down, and asks a dwarf or two to watch her body then sets herself to the grim task ahead. She creeps along the dusty cavern shelf and waves and points to Brixo trying to convey that she's going to attack one of the duergar. She'll hold until her companions are about ready, then leaps upon one of the dark dwarves trying to to lessen their number as quickly as possible.
(OOC: Surprise round, and advantage on the sneak attack?)
Waz lets out a harrowing battlecry as she leaps down upon an unsuspecting duergar her shield raised high above her head on her right arm, her rapier plunging toward them in her left hand. Her blue eyes gleam green in the lichen lit chamber and her cry sounds like those of twenty orcish warriors as she arcs through the air.
If anyone here present speaks orcish it sounds a lot like she's saying;
(This surprise round goes for everybody. You may make a single attack with advantage. Roll initiative as well, because I'll need it for the next round.)
(Waz, the cavern is a ten foot drop below. I just want to make sure you know you're in for 1d6 falling damage.)
At the point where Inquiry sees through Daedalus’s eyes that the party is getting ready to attack, Inquiry recovers her own senses and joins them for the ambush. She targets the closer of the two decomposing ogres, launching a Fire Bolt at it from stealth.

(Lol, I agree.)
Waz, take 3 bludgeoning damage.
The duergar grunts in pain as Waz slams into his back, but with the stubbornness typical of his race, refuses to budge an inch. Waz is unable to decide which was less moveable: the stone floor or the duergar.
Is the whispering in Infernal or Undercommon (languages I understand that might apply)?
