Halia smiles, “Ah! Good buzinezz yes! I am pleased.”
You exchange the items.
Fawn- Please add 375 gold pieces to the other coins to be split. You can do this at any time. Make a note that you have the scroll and deduct 60 GP.
Halben- Please Make a note that you have the scroll and deduct 60 GP.
Cypress- Please deduct 30 GP and add three potions of healing.
Halia the turns to Conway, “Hmm...” She smiles. She reaches under the table and pulls out a sack and spills the mica chips on the table. There are about twenty. “You may have theze for free she says warmly.” Conway goes to pick them up but she puts her hand on his. “I would appreciate a word in private.” She says with a smirk and a wink.
Halben, Fawn, and Cypress leave to go to the Lionshield Coster leaving Conway to do whatever it is he does.
You step into an secluded place between two buildings and split up the loot so far. Fawn got a slight tip due to keeping track. I'm not sure which Goblin Statue is being referred to so that has not been split.
Fawn: 92 Silver 172 Gold 4 Electrum
Cypress: 92 Silver 172 Gold 4 Electrum
Halben: 92 Silver 172 Gold 3 Electrum
Conway: 92 Silver 172 Gold 3 Electrum
You enter the building where you see the familiar frazzle red head of Linene Graywind who runs this building for the Lionshield Coster. She is handing a longsword over to a a muscled old half-elf that Fawn and Cypress recognize as Daran Edermath from the Edermath Orchard. Daran takes the blade and feels it's edge and nods approvingly. "Sharp as the day it was forged" Daran says to Linene. He then turns to leave and sees Fawn and Cypress.
Daran then nods down to his sword and then says to Fawn and Cypress, "Have to keep the blades sharp. Never know what's coming to my door. Have you all had a chance to go by the Old Owl Well yet?"
Linene then in her short and sharp manner says, "No loitering here! If you wish to do business come forward and let me know what you need."
Daran shakes his head and grins slightly at Linene comment. "Always about business that one."
“I need to unload some gear as well,” Cypress says as he pulls out leather armor, one handaxe, and one crossbow. “I’ll need to buy a long bow, one long sword, and two daggers”
Daran stands there sad as Cypress and Fawn bypass him completely and begin selling items. The half-elf makes his way out of the building.
OOC: Everyone deduct the items from your inventory and add the following coin.
Linene says to Conway, "Hah! Not in this little town. You would need to venture to Neverwinter or Waterdeep for that. Now, for your items I'll give you 29 gold pieces.
Linene to Halben, "It's a little worn but I'm sure someone will take it. Here you are, 28 gold pieces."
Linene to Cypress, "AH! Of course you would make me do math. Let's see. What you're selling here would get you 19 gold pieces. What you're buying will cost you 69 gold pieces. So it'll be 50 gold pieces.
Linene to Fawn, "What the? Do I look like I buy pots and hammers? Ugh, you're lucky today as I don't feel like arguing. 30 gold pieces for the lot."
”I’m terribly sorry for my rudeness sir. It’s been a long couple of days and I’m in need of some serious spiritual cleansing” she says as if to wipe of evil spirits from her body and shake them from her hands “we have not made it that way yet but we plan to soon”
Fawn and Conway rush outside to catch Daran. The muscular silver-haired half-elf turns to face you all with a knowing look.
"No offense taken. I just saw that it looked like you had been earning your keep and wasn't sure if that included the Owl Well. My name is Daren Edermath. I spoke with Fawn and Cypress over at my farm a few nights ago."
Daran nods to the blood and gore that is caked to some of your clothing and armor from your battle the day before. Conway at this moment you realize this is the silver-haired half-elf Fawn and Cypress had told you and Halben about. He was once an adventurer but has now retired to Phandalin. He tries to keep an eye on the Phandalin but his body is unable to adventure like he once could. You can see from the scars on his arms and on his chest with his low cut shirt that he has seen his share of combat. He shared two points of information with Fawn and Cypress. One was Daran shared that the leader of the Redbrands was named Glasstaff and he wished someone would teach those bullies a lesson. Two was he shared that prospectors were saying undead had been spotted at the Old Owl Well which was once a place of ancient magic. Fawn and Cypress had asked about the Black Spider and the Old Owl Well was the only lead Daran might have had and asked to be informed of what they found if they found out what was going on there.
Cypress walks up to Daran, “Sorry we haven’t been by the old owl well, I’ll try to get these guys to there with me as soon as we buy some provisions for some spells I’m wanting to try out. Is Barthans provisions where we need to go for that?”

Daran nods knowingly, "I understand. Well... Let me know if you make it up there. Be safe"
Daran then walks off.
The adventures after a very brief stay in Phandalin make their way Northeast toward the Old Owl Well. You hit the road about noon. You make your way first north toward the Triboar Trail along the sparesly forested plains. As you head out you spot a rainbow in the distance taking it as a good omen you continue on. There is little of interest the first day. You do pass by an ugly old woman walking along the trail alone which strikes you as odd. You are marching with Fawn leading, Halben and Conway in the middle, and then Cypress bringing up the rear.
The first day you watch an incredible sunset which makes you begin to take your mind off the troubles of the world and clear you minds for the night to come. Fawn will take the first watch with Conway. Fawn will stay up with Halben for half his watch with Cypress joining for the last half and taking the third watch.

The night is uneventful .
The second day you awaken to perfect traveling weather. It is not too hot, not too dry, not too cold, not too wet or windy. This allows you to travel an extra five miles this day. A fallen tree blocks the trail at one point but luckily you do not have a cart or horses which allows you to climb over the tree quickly.
The second night comes. You take the same watch pattern as before. Fawn and Conway's watch is uneventful as well as Fawn and Halben's. The same goes for Halben and Cypress. However, once Fawn begins to meditate she has a vision a very brief vision of smoke rising over a hillside. She does not recognize this hillside.
Cypress as you watch the darkness you begin to hear what sounds like flapping. You begin to see flickers of movement. Then your keen elf eyes spot the flying creatures closing in on your camp! There appears to be five stirges which are a horrid monster that looks like a cross between a large bat and an oversized mosquito. It's legs end in sharp pincers, and its long, needle-like proboscis slashes the air as it seeks to feed on the blood of living creatures. You call out the alert at the end of your watch as the attack occurs right before dawn! We are now rolling for initiative!

Initiative Order:
Stirges x5
Cypress
Fawn
Conway
Halben
You all awaken to Cypress crying out that you are under attack! You are able to get up in time so that they do not take you by complete surprise but they get their first round. There are five them flying in.(There will be no map as this should be a simple encounter. If you want to attack a specific Stirge just let me know, if not just say you attack the closest one. If it's dead by your turn I will pick another.)
The first stirge flys in and attempts to latch it's pincers onto Halben but Halben bats the Stirge away with his new staff.
Attack: 19 Damage: 5
The second looks like it is thirsting for Cypress's blood as it dives onto him. Cypress feels the pincers penetrate his right pec as the Stirge latches on dealing 6 damage.
Attack: 20 Damage: 5
The third follows the seconds lead and goes for Cypress! Cypress has learned his lesson and jerks out of the way from the second.
Attack: 8 Damage: 5
The fourth wants a meal to itself and tries to bite Fawn but the ranger rolls to the left makes the stirge miss and almost hit the ground!
Attack: 21 Damage: 7
The fifth one also wants a less crowded buffet and goes for Conway but the Warlock having seen his companion's dodge the small pests also does so!
Halben thinks for a second "I'll take that Earth Tremor scroll off of your hands"
Halia smiles, “Ah! Good buzinezz yes! I am pleased.”
You exchange the items.
Fawn- Please add 375 gold pieces to the other coins to be split. You can do this at any time. Make a note that you have the scroll and deduct 60 GP.

Conway takes Halia’s hand and looks at the others. “I zink I’m about to exorzise a demon ladz”
He then follows aafter he grabs the bag of mica
“We’ll meet you at Lionshield” Fawn says as she rolls her eyes as she heads out the door towards the merchants

Conway then arrives after this conversation.
OOC: Here is where you can sell/buy armor and weapons. If you wish to offload any Redbrand stuff, let me know. Weapons and armor can be found here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/basic-rules/equipment#ArmorandShields
Conway slips the patch into his robes and enters into the Lionshield.
“I don’t know who wants to go first but I have a couple of things to sell.”Conway says as he pulls out a few valuables.
x1 Leather
x1 Studded Leather
x1 Sickle
”Also I need a few bits of fleece” Conway requeste
“Also friend, would you know of any location that specializes in the more.... arcane weaponry and defense?” Conway asks to the shopkeep
"Hello I would like to sell this studded leather and this short sword."
“I need to unload some gear as well,” Cypress says as he pulls out leather armor, one handaxe, and one crossbow. “I’ll need to buy a long bow, one long sword, and two daggers”
“I would like to sell these items” as she lays the following on the table
1 Hammer
1 Pot
1 Short sword
1 Leather studded armor
Occ: bookkeeping Fawn sells 5 days of rations to Halben for 25 silver pieces outside the store
Daran stands there sad as Cypress and Fawn bypass him completely and begin selling items. The half-elf makes his way out of the building.

Fawn thanks the shopkeeper and turns to Daran
”I’m terribly sorry for my rudeness sir. It’s been a long couple of days and I’m in need of some serious spiritual cleansing” she says as if to wipe of evil spirits from her body and shake them from her hands “we have not made it that way yet but we plan to soon”
Conway sees that Fawn and Cypress didnt hear Daran and grabs his coin and runs out the door in tow.
“Sir sir! Sorry about that. My friends have no manners. I am Conway and you are?” Conway says with his hand out to shake hands
*EDIT- but as he goes to shake his hand he notices Fawn has already interjected and does the right thing*
Fawn and Conway rush outside to catch Daran. The muscular silver-haired half-elf turns to face you all with a knowing look.
