Storm King's Thunder + Against the Giants

OOC: Don't mistake me having fun for me not being sore lol, a 2 hour game of kickball, 10 innings of baseball, swimming, hiking, and putting together and taking down a campsite as a man my size has got me where I need a body cast lol

OOG So, after taking the skull of victory, can I assume the party is on the road to Hundelstone?

OOC: I am fine with that if no one wants to try and track this things home. 

(OOC - yeah I'd like us to resume our trip to Hundelstone - I can do a nature check to see if I know anything about remorhaz - like are they solitary, to they have a lair, etc we can always give Hundelstone a heads up - but I'm assuming these are just random natural predators found in Icewind Dale and not part of the giants incursions)

Erakas has no idea where a remorhaz lair look like or could be found. Altough, since they resemble insect, giant insect, they probably have a nest for eggs. Somwhere.

(OOG Happy Monday! I'm going camping this week... I can't wait. But since Mrs. Gmoat isn't the outdoors type, I'm going to be doing a lot of the setup and tear down. I played a lot of Frisbee golf and cooked a lot this weekend.)

Ren will assist Erakas with his Nature check to give him Advantage. (OOG If you'll allow it Filcat.) Ren is interested in finding this tundra bug's lair as well. "Does anyone need a healing touch?"

OOG Erakas can give one more roll to the Nature check!

(OOC - wow - a crit fail and a crit success - thanks Gmoat! Also IMHO if we go chasing after every random encounter beast we find we'll never make it to Waterdeep :P

As far as healing - I believe the two bears took the worst of it - Erakas (6) Snowfall (14) Marshmellow (16) Rockhand (3) - if we consider the hour it took Erakas to get the remorhaz skull as a short rest for everyone else - Marshmellow can burn a hit dice or two to heal and Erakas can wait)

OOC: Waterdeep smaterdeep, There be gold in these dales! :D I am all for moving forward, just figured I'd throw it out there.

With some details provided by Ren, now Erakas knows evrything about remorhaz. They are monstrous artic predators, who likes hunt animals (including polar bears) and humanoids alike, staying under the snow and sensing the vibration of their movements. What the party has just fought is a young one. A mature specimen is quite bigger. They have not a strong family bound so they hunt mostly in solitary activity.

(OOC - sure fine, maybe we can find baby remorhaz - and keep them as pets while we're at it too!)

OOC: I imagine their eggs would fetch quite the price. 

"It being so young, do we eevn think it would have a lair with eggs in it? If so, let's do this. But, what do we do when they hatch? SOme beasts can't be tamed." Ren pushes the wagon forward before continuing, "With that being said, we can't be too far off from Hundlestone."

"This was a youngling remorhaz - they are mostly solitary hunters, so I doubt we'll find any sort of 'lair' and I'd rather not meet a fully matured version either - I suggest we continue on to Hundelstone and be on our business."  Erakas informs the rest of the party.

Erakas checks the stomach of the dead remorhaz for any signs of its more recent victims (or loot!)

OOG Ah yes. Taking into consideration Argent's suggestion, it is fine by me if you all (humanoids and bears) have taken a short rest, while Erakas was taking the skull.

Marshmellow will use 2 hit dice then [Hit Dice: 6] [Hit Dice: 7]

So she's back up to 28/35
