Dicaeus just smiles and shakes his head. “I’m sure. Unfortunately, Spartans aren’t known for their monetary and bargaining prowess. I better go catch up with him before he goes and offends another shop keeper. I’m terribly sorry. Thank you for your time.” With that, Dicaeus takes off to follow the larger man, nearly running to keep up. “You know, that was a powerfully enchanted item. The price he was asking for was more than reasonable, but if you insist on driving down on bargains, it may be better to let me do the talking. Just let me know what you want, and I can attempt it for you.”
Anax stops in his tracks in the middle of the busy street. "I have been manipulated by politicians and schemers for most of my life, Dicaeus. I'm now at a point where I can see it happening, and it disgusts me." He holds up his spear. "This is a magical weapon, the only offense against many vile creatures. And this," he taps his breastplate, "is Corinthian armour. Men have been known to sell their estates for armour of lower quality. I will not have some tight-fisted dwarf tell me that prized possessions are worth as much as a sackful of children's books."
He turns to stomp off in the direction of the other shop, then slows. "I appreciate your offer of help. You are probably a much better talker than me. It's held me back all of my life, not being able to match wits with those in positions of power - to be moved like a pawn on a board instead of making decisions that don't cost hundreds of lives." The goliath's eyes glaze over slightly, as if the faces of lost friends are flooding back to haunt him. "No. Even if I could, I wouldn't want to be a scheming politician or silver-tongued merchant." He looks at the pale man beside him and claps him on the shoulder, back to his usual grin. "Thank you, if you can somehow help me score some enchanted armour, I'd be in your debt." He starts fishing in his pocket and pulls out a small handful of gold and silver coins. He looks pained at the meagre pittance in his hand, but offers it to Dicaeus with a smile.

Dicaeus pushes it back to Anax. “Keep that for a round of drinks some other time. Our main currency will be our reputation and our items. Now come, we shouldn’t keep Herkules waiting.”
So You ask around about the Liar's Lyre and everyone you talk to gives you the same feedback. It's a wonderful little store owned by the kindest of People. They point you to where you may find it. It's a fair distance away from the Supple Pegasus and far less extravigent. An Open air shop with a loose hanging sheet over a frame of wood. It seems to double as some sort of Tavern as well. There are dozens of individuals sitting at tables talking and drinking.
You see a Young, Beautiful woman rushing from table to table with a tray in one hand. Handing mugs over and taking empty ones away.

Dicaeus wanders casually over through the crowd to the store portion of the Liar’s Lyre, browsing the kinds of items on store, looking for any armors, specifically enchanted suits that would offer Anax suitable protection (Plate, I’m assuming, @Mojake?)
Dicaeus there is immediately no kinds of weaponry or armor in sight but walking threw the Tavern part you come to a very well maintained store. The boards that comprise the three walls look brand new, there are very fine tapestries hanging from the low rafters. You do see some weapons here but none seem to have a gleam of magic to it. Pushing past one of the Tapestries you do see a single set of Full plate armor on display. While not as ornate or well made as the Dwarven one, This one is Greek made and is fairly similar to the one Anaxandros wears.
Anax you find a empty table and wait a few minutes before that same young woman walks to it. She Introduces herself as Lyssa and happily takes your order of two Honeyed wines. She is YOUNG Anax, fair too young to be working in a tavern. Best guess she dosent have more then 17 winters on her bones. She returns with your two mugs of honeyed wine, Charging 2 silver for them both.
MEANWHILE, At the Den.
Herkules has gone into great detail about one of his Labors in particular, His battle with the Erymanthian Boar. A boar the size of a wagon with hide so thick no arrow could pierce it. With the beasts tough exterior, He had to come up with a plan. Using its own weight against it; Herkules lured the boar into a choke point and forced it to fall on 5 Spears. Not killing the beast only delaying it, He had to bring down his Mighty hammer with all his might before the beast breathed its last. He shows you both the Set of 4 tusks he took from the beast. Each one easily 4 feet long, They hang on the wall behind his Wooden throne.

Carrus is listening to Herkules's story, absolutely enthralled by every detail. He's trying not to grin like a kid but can't really help it. He can see every move, every feint, every blow of the hammer in his imagination. He asks questions from time to time, trying to get every part of the fight clear in his mind. And he makes sure that Herkules's massive cup is always full of whatever he's drinking.
Looking about in the the Store Dicaeus you see only one person. An elderly man with wrinkled and weathered skin, Snow white eyes and Male pattern baldness. Sat on a old rocking chair that slowly sways back and forth. In his left hand he holds a simple wooden cane and in his right, A worn and old leather bound tome.

Dicaeus approaches the older man carefully. ”Excuse me sir? I was wondering if I could ask you some questions about your inventory, if you could spare a minute? I’ve been looking for a heavier set of enchanted armor, and I was hoping you had something of that sort that you are willing to part with. For a reasonable price or trade, of course.”
The Old man doesn't react to you Dicaeus. Instead point the end of his cane at the suit of armor you had already seen. "1000 gold" His voice is whispy and barely audible.

The cane lowers back onto the Old mans lap as he flicks the leather bound tome open. He begins to run his fingers along the front the page before flicking to a page further in the book and running his fingers along that page instead. "Plate of the Chimera, Strong against all manner of foe. The Runes on the edges of the plates glow when a Chimera* is near."
* A Chimera is a VERY dangerous beast. They are what Manticores eventually spawned from. Like Dragons, They have become rare in the world but some are known to still exist. They are vicious, cunning and cruel. Some believe they are the spawn of the Titans before the Gods. Chimera's are never seen above ground, they dwell deep within the earth. Usually in a Cave or abandoned Mine. (Chimera's are Goritro's for those who are curious.)
Carrus and Cybele. During this last hour. You have dove deep into your mugs, Enjoying the tales of the Herkules while also sharing some of your own. Herkules is a very humble being, You notice that most of his labors were completed by Luck. The Erymanthian boar skewered itself. The Hydra caused a rock fall to crush its heads. When recounting the task of cleaning the Aegean stables, Herkules made it clear that he chose a day with heavy rainfall to accomplish this task. Yet his tale of the Nemean Lion holds no such luck or clever plan. Herkules quickly found that the Lion was immune to all manner of weapons and was forced to use his strength to wrestle the beast to the ground and choke the life out of it.

[OoC]: 250gp for plate armour and a +1 spear? That's insane!
Anax will shake his head, get to his feet and leave, heading to the other shop that Herkules mentioned.
