(Sorry, busy weekend!) "The healers are at the school in Diepfaltz, you said? We should get there if they can bring Tim back. Could you give us some directions, where to go when we get to Diepfaltz? I know we've been there before, but our short-term memories have really taken a beating. Possibly at the hands of the other group you mentioned, but we couldn't be sure."
Looking a little frustrated the toll booth man shakes his head "Maybe you should all get checked at the school. Just follow the road into town, it's not far maybe 20 minutes. You can't miss the school it's the big building with the bell tower." He stands to the side "Go on then!"
"Ok, let's go. Hopefully Tim will be able to remember some stuff too." As he passes by, Tormir takes the man aside and quietly says, pointing to the house just off the road, "By the way, is that your house?"
"I just wondered. A lone house along the road, I wondered if it was relevant to our current situation, but now I have my answer. Thank you for your information."
Then I think we all make haste to get Tim to the healer. Tormir will take shifts with Lorros in carrying Tim's body - wondering to himself whether even these healers could revive someone who's been half digested by a giant snake...
You all cross the river and continue on the road towards town. The other side of the river is again a little swampy in the flood plains but the road is well above the swamps and easy to travel. After the swamp ends you find the road cutting through old growth forest with very little underbrush. On occasion you see a tree that's been cut down and the closer to town you get you see more tree stumps and some trails running through the woods and crossing the road. It's an uneventful walk. After about 10 minutes of walking a cart and river pass by you headed towards the bridge. As the woods thin you can see areas of cultivated land with farmhouses and other out-buildings. Some for crops, some cleared with pens for animals. Every now and again through the clearings you can see the bell-tower getting closer. You begin to see more traffic on the road and other roads cutting across it the closer you get to town.
(does anyone want to interact with anyone or do anything on the way or head to the bell-tower?)
Most people are paying you no mind. A couple people noticing the body slung over a shoulder quickly find a side road to cut down or give you a wide berth. You get a couple friendly nods but nothing really draws your attention or sets alarms bells off.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The party continues on the road slowly working it's way back towards the river until it's mostly running along side of it. The first signs of the town you see are small stone houses on both sides of the road. Some of them on the river side having docks and small boats. You can see other boats in the river with people fishing. One boat looks to be transporting goods. The houses in this area look pretty aged and as you get to what you assume is the main street you can see it was and older part of town. 6 Walking down the road carrying a body has again drawn a few concerned looks but nobody bothers you.
Main Street extends to your left up a small hill and to the right over a bridge crossing the river. Looking up the hill you can see newer and larger wood or brick buildings. The road you're on crosses over main street and slowly turns uphill to the left in the direction of the bell tower. You can see parts of the roof of the tower's building from here and other buildings in a campus. Halfway up the hill is a well made sign "Die Pfaltz School of Arcana" it's written in several languages. You can see a campus spread out before you. Road seems to head straight on towards the bell tower building while smaller roads and paths branch off in many directions heading towards different buildings spread out in a loosely circular pattern around the bell tower. The bell tower itself is atop a building that looks older than the rest of the buildings on campus and looks like at one time it could have been a church. It has tall arched windows, it's 2 stories tall and has an arched front entryway with large wooden doors. 13 Making your way onto the campus there are a fair number of people milling about or making their way from one building to another but again no one seems to pay you much mind. Bringing a corpse, or a severely injured person to the campus for healing is not uncommon. You do notice a couple people shaking their heads as if commiserating about another tragedy that would bring someone here.
In terms of the people themselves you mostly see younger of folks of mixed races. You do see one older looking human in robes wlking toward the bell tower building from one of the other buildings. The campus itself is laid out somewhat like a spoked wheel with paths all leading through a center 'quad'. There are a few trees for shade and some benches here and there with people sitting on them reading or chatting. There's one young man with a lute strumming away while a couple girls sit and listen.
One of the students deciding to be helpful notices that you all have a bit of a lost look on your faces and approaches the party "Sorry about your friend there. You guys are probably looking for the healers huh? You have to go to the Admin building and check in. It's the bell tower over there. I can take you if I want. I know the folks there because I'm training to be a healer myself!"
"Oh, I'm apprentice Adam. Looks like your friend got pretty messed up. You guys get lost in the swamp or something? Someone should really do something about that place. We get a lot of folks coming in from the swamps."
Jim seems roused by these words.
"If there's even a chance a powerful healer can revive Tim... we should head there straight away!"
Jim looks around frustrated by the lack of immediate reaction to his words.
"Well? Are you a simpleton?! Tell us where to go man! We must move with haste!"

How are those passing by react to the group? Are they looking at us strangely, or not taking any notice of the group? (Perception 17)

I say we carry on so as to not draw any unnecessary questions that we won't be able to answer.
Yeah, I agree. And we probably want to get Tim to the healer asap (also, so we're not wandering around with a corpse...)

As we walk towards the bell tower building, Tormir asks our temporary guide, "What is your name?"
