Drusk puts his armor on as the group gathers in the street. Fala has taken control inside, and is directing Renaer and Lif like they are errand boys. Jalester is watching all of you through the window.

"Master Hlam is the leader of the Order of the Even-handed. He is the teacher of my teachers, and is the reason that I have been sent here, to Waterdeep. I've only spoken with him once before. I know that I should be patient, meditate, and contemplate what lessons are to be learned from my current state, but I must admit, I am anxious to complete my pilgrimage. Furthermore, I now worry for his safety as well."
Ilena is carrying her fish, retrieved from the Road's End kitchen before it was integrated into the meal.
Mount Waterdeep is technically a mountain, it rises tall off the western end of Waterdeep, looking down on the Castle and the Palace to the east, the harbor to the south, and the ocean to the west. North, it slopes more gently along the line of the coats into the city. This approach is how Ilena has gone before, and where she directs you now.
Hildi fills the party in on the Mountain. A natural feature, or perhaps one enhanced by magic hundreds of years ago, the stories say it sits atop the ruins of a great Dwarven kingdom, or perhaps the fabled treasures of the old mad mage, Halaster Blackcloak (who originally built his namesake tower). Its slopes are said to have been the site of the final appearance of the great Overgod Ao in the Times of Trouble. Various celebrations take place on or near the mountain. But mostly, it is home to the Griffon Cavalry's Aerie, and one of the great Statues, of an enormous griffon, stands at the peak, watching over the city. Twenty feet tall at the withers, the stone griffon is sized to carry a storm giant.
Even now, as you look up, you see several members of the Griffon Cavalry lazily turning in the sky, keeping their watch on the city below.
Ilena guides you to and through Fetlock Court, a wide plaza where the (normal) cavalry gather and train from their stables to the south (near the Palace). It is currently the site of a small market, but many people are beginning to pack up, as clouds are gathering and the temperature is starting to drop. A switchback trail at the western end of Fetlock Court leads up to the northern slope of the mountain.
You are greeted at the top by a patrol of the City Guard (again, soldiers, not police), who ask your business, and relate what Ilena has told you, that the mountain is off limits to all unless... he stops when presented with your writ of passage. "Aye then, on ye go," he says. "Mind the weather coming in."

Time of day: midmorning Weather: cold, but not brutally so, clouds gathering, likely to snow?
The trail ahead leads directly to the mountain, but then begins to switch back and forth between scrub trees and bramble. Ilena is pretty sure she knows where she is going... last time she went a little cross country to find her way, after a few setbacks. The views of the ocean, as you are climbing the western slope, are tremendous.
I'd like from Ilena, a Survival check.
I'd like from the party, a marching order. At times it will be single file, so a single file marching order will be best.
And if anyone wants to do something, now is a good time to let me know. Also, feel free to fill in any previous actions on the way to this point.
(Guessing the single file order. If other suggestions are made, I’m fine with it.
Jorin, Ilena (guiding), Hildigrim, Pascal, Drusk)

(While your order makes sense from a strategic standpoint, if Ilena is trying to pick her way through unclear mountain "paths" it would probably be easier for her to lead.)
"... Master Aurelius always used to tell me to try to keep myself grounded, that I always have my head in the clouds. Oh right the path... I'm pretty sure this is the way..."
Hildi is either right behind Ilena or in the middle. I agree that Ilena should be first, so if Jorin wants to be second, that's fine. He'll be keeping an eye out for anything that might harm the group in their journey: dangerous animals, plants, terrain, etc.
Perception: 16 (-4 if survival, +1 if investigation)
Jorin will take up behind Ilena. He is quite taken by the views of the ocean, something he had never before coming to Waterdeep. Neither the Frost Hills, nor Mithril Hall, are known for their ocean vistas. That is partly why he was so taken with ship crew jobs, the freedom of the sea, and it's total newness, were catnip to Jorin.
The clouds continue to roll in, and on the exposed western face of the mountain, the wind begins to pick up, bringing with it a faint wet sheen. The scent of salt water is strong, even this high up.In the distance downslope, where the city walls run along the shore, you can see the tiny figures of the City Guard walking the ramparts. Overhead, the grey clouds continue gathering, and you have lost sight of the griffon cavalry. Maybe they don't fly in bad weather?
The trek up the mountain is more treacherous than Ilena remembers, perhaps because she is paying more attention, or perhaps because she is concerned about leading her friends astray. She notices (Survival 12) that the path she has picked out seems particularly steep and rocky, and she does not like the look of some of the loose shale and scree. She points this out to the rest of the party, which is good, because...
"Look out!" Hildi yells, as first a cascade of small pebbles, then several larger rocks, and finally two big boulders come crashing down the mountainside from above!
Everyone should roll all three skill rolls below:
Wisdom (Perception) with Advantage (thanks to Ilena's warning and Hildi's shout) to notice the rocks coming!
Dexterity (Acrobatics)
Strength (Athletics)
Please roll!

OOC > OMG still traveling. Home tomorrow!
Hildi's shout alerts everyone but Jorin, who is daydreaming out at the ocean. As the rocks tumble down the steep slope, Ilena does a graceful pirouette with one hand on a passing boulder, landing on her feet. Hildi, similarly sidesteps rock after rock as they crash past him, like he practicing an intricate court dance. Drusk calls on Lliira, and ends up using some fancy guided footwork to avoid the rocks. Jorin, turning with a "Wha?" look on his face is hard pressed but manages to knock some smaller rocks out of the way while sidestepping some larger ones.
Pascal, unfortunately, is distracted by a humanoid figure he sees 100 feet higher up the mountain, where the rockslide may have started, rushing away and out of sight. A small boulder slams into the gator man, followed by another of more considerable size, and then a shower of fist sized rocks bang off his armored skin. He loses his balance and slides down the side, ending twenty feet further down, precariously positioned.
Pascal takes 3 bludgeoning damage!
Everyone else (except Jorin) saw the figure, too. Human-sized, wearing the colors of the City Guard. It ran away, and you can't see it anymore. Also, Pascal is holding on precariously to the side of the mountain like a giant cat on a slippery roof.

Hildigrim touches Ilena lightly on the arm. "Worry not. We'll do what we can to aid your grand teacher as quickly as possible."
When Drusk is back, Hildigrim will hurry them to the mountain, filling in their half-orc friend along the way.
