Quillary will, quietly, tug on Jorin and whisper to him, “Come open this door.”
(If Jorin agrees to this, roll for Perception.
He has the strength to open the trap door in the ceiling. The Perception check is for moving in the dark, not accidentally pushing someone off the stairs or pushing on the hinge-side of the door.)

In the dark, Hildi's eyes are as big as saucers. He darts them about, and the faintest of whines escapes him as he struggles not to announce that he's sure they're being watched.
(Sorry if I confused anyone, but Jorin should roll Perception, to see how well he is moving in the dark. And no problem with Hildi having the whistle, as long as everyone makes sure he doesn't panic and blow the whistle before the time is right.)
Hildigrim's feelings of paranoia are not being helped by the sounds coming from out of the dark from the southwest below (heavy rhythmic breathing of some big animal, periodic metal sharpening).

(I realize that it is making things more difficult for your characters, but minor things going wrong is a nice way to add drama to the narrative.
It will be a 1d6 damage for the fall, but more importantly, alert the beings below.
I like the the Call of Cthulhu mechanic of "pushing a roll": one more chance of success, but more disaster if it fails. If Quillary decides to grab Jorin, it will be a DC 15 Athletics check prevent him from going over the side. On a success, Jorin is pulled back to safety. On a fail, Quillary gets pulled over the side with Jorin, and both take 1d6 damage.)

OOC > Now that it is either Jorin or both Jorin and Quillary going over the side (I haven't seen the result of the roll above yet), I'm curious about how you would have ruled on my plan if it was just Quillary going over. She would have tried to Wild Shape into a spider (a regular, tiny spider). So, a) is that enough time ot take an Action, or would it require a Reaction, and b) does a tiny spider falling 10 ft still take 1d6 damage, or does it float down on the air currents like a real world spider would?
Jorin tries to move quietly in the dark, and accidentally gets too close to the side of the stairs, sliding off. Quillary grabs for his arm, but is unable to brace herself on these steep stairs, and also tumbles over the side. They are prone on the ground, between the northern edge of the stairs and the pi-symbol (empty wyvern stall). Both take 3 damage from the fall. Quillary should roll a concentration save (if she wants to maintain Pass Without Trace).
Drusk, seeing that the jig is up, casts the Light cantrip on the table south of Sundeth, the 8' tall half-ogre. Drusk moves to the bottom of the stairs (west of the entrance iron door).
The wyvern is waking up. Sundeth stops sharpening his torture instruments (ice picks, needles, and a big spoon). He is wearing heavy armor, and reaches for his glaive on the table next to him.
(I'm treating this as a surprise round, with Sundeth, wyvern, Jorin, and Quillary not able to act. Drusk has used his action for the Light spell.)
Pascal and Hildigrim can act this round. They are almost at the top of the stairs (northern edge). If they attack, they have advantage on their to-hit rolls (Sundeth and wyvern haven't looked up yet).

+1 shortbow attack: 19; damage: 7 piercing damage
Sneak attack: 13
He then (bonus help action) encourages Pascal to also target Sundeth and where to hit him.
Hildigrim's attack hits for 20 damage, but Hildi is worried about how well Sundeth is armored (AC 18) and doesn't seem too concerned (a lot of hp).
Sundeth will be disappointed that Jorin is unfamiliar with Kevin Costner's "Robin Hood", in particular this YouTube clip. (Although, sharpening a spoon defeats the reason it is being used.)
Pascal is still up. (He has advantage on to-hit rolls this round, or could use the brazier.)

Pascal hums to himself a jaunty little ditty, mumbling something about a ‘Ring of Fire’
”Excusez-moi, mon ami, pourrais-je vous déranger de brûler? In other words, do me a favor and burn!” With that, Pascal spins a ring of fire on his hand and a 20 diameter, 20 foot high, one foot thick ring of burning fire ignites on Sundeth and his Wyvern, as per the Wall of Fire!
The inside of the wall does 32 fire damage vs Dex DC 14, of half on a success. Also it has specific triggers for when that damage happens.

(OOC: So you do want the ring on top of them for the guaranteed damage, right? After this round, they can move out and away from from the ring, without additional damage.
A 20' ring just barely clips both of them, so that works. You could also do a 60' line of fire across the width of the tower, getting both of them and kind of angling NE to cover the tower entrance (on the map). Making sure that I'm doing what you had in mind.)
