OOC > to be clear, do you mean if she uses three third-level spell slots and a Wild Shape, or just one third level spell slot and a wild shape?
(OOC: Sorry. She already used a 3rd level spell, so if she also uses a Wild Shape on top of that, I'll consider that enough effort to move the entire party to the other side of the river, instead of worrying about the one-by-one details.)

Then Quillary seems to get an idea. "I can carry us over! I once saw, and studied, a giant steed from the under dark that the elves had captured. It was similar to some I knew from the forests, but, different..."
She concentrates, crouches, and starts to moan. Just as you are expecting long spider legs to burst out of her feathered and crumpled form, instead, there is a flopping sound and something squishy, and a long, slightly shiny but ultimately dry scaled creature unrolls, and unrolls, and seemingly inflates into an enormous lizard!. The Large creature fills the space, nearly pushing the other members of the party into the cave wall. It turns a large head and blinks its black eyes at the party, then quickly scurries up the wall and across the river on the ceiling. It climbs down and stares at Jorin, then its tongue slips out and tastes his face, and with what might be a chuckle, it rushes back up the wall and over the river again, stopping in front of the rest of the party. It blinks featurelessly at them. Then it nudges Hildi with its snout.
OOC > We don't have to role-play the entire crossing, I was just having fun.

Hildigrim mentioned using rope to keep the lizard rider from falling off during the ceiling climb.
Drusk will help tie the halfling to the lizard, to the point that Hildigrim can't move any of his limbs (and will have to plead with Jorin on the other side to let him loose).
Let's have Jorin roll a Perception check. (OOC: heh heh heh)

When Q-lizard and Hildigrim are halfway across (and upside down), Jorin hears a wet shuffling noise from the passage to the south, getting closer. He puts a finger to his lips (shushing gesture), and waves for the others to take cover.
Quillary finds some stalactites to provide cover. Hildigrim stays silent, despite becoming dizzier from the blood rushing to his head. Drusk and Pascal crouch behind rocks on the north side of the river, and extinguish the Light spell.
On the south side of the river, Jorin finds that there are no rocks large enough to hide behind. In desperation, he hugs the nearest wall and stays as motionless as possible. (Like Drax trying to be invisible in the "Guardians of the Galaxy", or a mud-covered Arnold Swarzenegger in "Predator".)
(Hildigrim and Jorin don't see this now, with the darkness, but the others tell them later.) A pair of kuo-toa emerge from the south passage, moving slowly and unsteadily to the river. Digging through the slime and the muck at the water's edge, they find some fish floating at the surface, obviously dead for some time. Without caring about the state of the fish, the kuo-toa collect several in a poorly crafted clay bowl, turn around, and head back south. The kuo-toa walk right by Jorin, oblivious to his presence. (Jorin can hear and smell them within arms reach, but it is pitch black.)
After it is quiet for some time, with no signs of anything else coming from the south, Drusk casts Light again, and Quillary finishes her trip across the river.

After depositing the last of the party members, Quillary-lizard cocks her head, then scuttles back up the wall and down the river along the ceiling a short way in the direction Volo flew, returning and staring at the party, cocking her head to one side again.
Drusk looks at Jorin, with his high body temperature and non-rocky clothing, looks at the cold wet rocky wall, looks at the passage where the kuo-toa left, and then scratches his head in mild confusion.
"I think Quillary is telling us to follow her, so she can continue using the giant lizard abilities before it wears off."

She gently head butts Jorin, pushing him further down the passage in the direction the unperceptive kuo-toa came and went.
Then she comes back and gently grips Hildi’s collar and pulls him towards the river, finally yanking on the rope he just stowed and trying to flip it over her back. Then she looks hopefully at the party.

For the passage south, after 100' (it winds around a bit), you come to a "Y". You have to chose SW or SE.
From Volo's "report", you know that the SW passage leads to a cavern with weird noises coming from it. The SE passage eventually leads to a "T" intersection, with one of the passages leading to the kuo-toa group with a net.
(As Hildigrim mentioned earlier, the Kuo-Toa are insane, but may not be necessarily be hostile. You'll have to decide how to approach them.)

"Ah yes, I should lead. A keen axe out front is always a good plan." Jorin says, then turns to watch Lizarillary fiddle with Hildi's rope, confused for a moment he shrugs his shoulders are moves down the passage.
(OOC - For expediency, I'll put down which way Jorin chooses, but if anyone would like to choose another way and either intersection, we can discuss)
At the Y intersection, he chooses SE, and at the T intersection he chooses the passage away from the Kuo-Toa.
(OOC: For convenience, I'll follow Jorin's suggestion, up to a point.)
At the "T" instersection, there is a passage NE that goes to where the kuo-toa trapped the owl. The party takes the other one to the SW.
That passage curves to the right, until it is headed due west. In the distance it connects with a large cavern, which you suspect may be the one with the weird noises. That suspicion is confirmed, when even from this distance you hear odd clacking noises echoing from the cavern ahead.
(OOC: The passage Volo took connected at the northern tip of the chamber. This passage connects from the east, and a bit further south.
You can continue forward, or go back to the kuo-toa small cave. Or maybe try something else. In any case, Quillary's lizard form will last for the next event, but not longer than that.)

Quillary the lizard will just shrug and follow Jorin. When the group approaches the new cavern, she will climb onto the wall and try to slink out into the cavern to the left, on the wall.
