Ilena waves to her friends still down in the muck to come to the platform. To those who are closer she whispers "Whatever we're going to do we'd better hurry, if he's going to tell his boss that we're coming and his boss is not expecting anyone we're may have some trouble!"
Hildigrim puts out his torch and follows behind the others, not sure if his presence will help or hinder the pending exchange. He goes ahead and draws both daggers, but attempts to conceal them. He's also mostly attempting to hide his presence behind the bigs.
OOC > I wasn't totally clear on the marching order, but it doesn't make a difference this turn, so be sure to let me know if you want someone else to go in front next time.
Jorin and Ilena confer on the need for haste, Hildi douses his torch, leaving Jorin's axe the only source of light, and everyone piles in to the doorway. Drusk opens the next door (which opens inward) and looks through into a hallway. South, it opens into a dirty room with a couple of stools, clothing left on the floor, and a couple of rusty weapons. North, it presumably leads to Yordi the goblin's post, and further, the hallway descends deeper into the ground.

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"North" Jorin says curtly and moves quickly through the passage and into Yordi's post. As he does so, he draws his other axe and brings it at the ready to attack the goblin as soon as he sees it.
Ilena shakes her head solemnly, and tiptoes along behind her companions doing her best to remain relatively quiet should they wish to mask their presence.

(Hildi wakes up the sleeping guards, talks trash, then hides in back? Okay.)
Drusk will move 10' north, take the hard right towards the arrow slits, and keep moving. If the goblin is around, Drusk moves up to him and tries to push it prone.
Athletics roll:
22 If the next roll after this is yet another 1 or 3, I call BS on the random number generator.
Beegred Thornpost - Lvl 8 Halfling Ranger - Out of the Abyss by Kerrec Drusk - Lvl 8 Half-Orc Life Cleric - The Long Road: Dragon Heist by Mingofaust (player & current DM) Hunferho Aelorothi - Lvl 5 Half-Elf Bard/Rogue - Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus (by Pokepaladdy) DM - Frontier City of Nunkreet (ended)
Jorin snaps into motion, slipping past Drusk and pulling out his second axe as he rounds the corner. Poor Yordi the goblin stands there, half a smile on his face, which quickly turns to horror as Jorin raises his axes and strikes him down with a single blow (18 for 11 dmg).
Drusk comes running up behind, to survey the damage, followed more deliberately by Ilena, then Pascal, and finally Hildigrim, hiding in the shadows of the bigger folks.
There is not much in this room, a crude shortbow, some arrows lying on the ground, a stool, and a dead goblin.

DDP, yes, you can carry the arrows. Yordi had ten. If he'd beaten Jorin's initiative, and made a decent Wisdom check, he might have gotten a shout off before Jorin got to him, but neither of those things happened. I can retcon the description, if it makes you all feel more like heroes... ;)
...Yordi, the grimy goblin, looks up with a sneer, ready with some snide remark, but his eyes widen with the realization that his evil days are over, as Jorin...
Pascal just opens his mouth at a ninety degree angle and makes a threatening gator noise.

Yordi makes noises that sounds like he is cowed by Pascal's display of teeth.
Then Huke (SE) says, "Okay okay, come in now! Me let boss know you here!"

Jorin displays a sheepish smile and says, "I did not expect them to believe me so fully. We should cut their threads quickly."
Jorin moves quickly through the door, beckoning the others to follow.

Pascal will help with that, using his girth frame to block the view!
