Ilena frowns, wondering if Yordi's death might have been an avoidable injustice. But, with no time to think about it now, she takes a moment to close the eyes on the two halves of the poor goblins head, before following her companions presumably down the hallway to the north.
OoC - So, i was operating under the assumption that all goblins in the world are evil...if that wasn't the case, then i do feel a little bad for slicing this one in half without ascertaining his evil-ness =(
OOC > All goblins in the world are evil (special circumstances notwithstanding). This one was convinced you were also evil (well Persuaded!), and thus was still trying to ingratiate himself to you. His surprise at being attacked is as much disappointment at being once again at the bottom of the evil totem pole as much as real surprise. Don't feel bad. Edit: Feel free to have your characters feel bad, if you like. I do not presume to speak for them.
If you all proceed north, which of Jorin/Drusk leads? And are you being quiet? If yes, please have the lead character roll Stealth. Thank you!
OOC: LOL History is written by the victors, right?
Hildigrim surveys the carnage, but then his eyes are drawn to the scattering of arrows. "They'll no longer be needing these," the halfling comments, putting his daggers away and picking up the arrows. He looks around and then at his fellows. "No need to protect the ruse any further.Shall I lead?"
If no one objects, Hildi will take point. Stealth: 22 and perception: 14
Jorin nods at Hildi, "Aye, you look ahead and we'll follow behind. Maybe there will be another chance use our...ruse." He looks pleased by using this word and smiles at Hildi.
[ooc : cut to Ilena; the camera zooms in slowly as her face turns from sadness (at the potentially unnecessary death of a small humanoid) to terror as it dawns on her that she's the protagonist of a horror movie who may not make it out alive.]
The group shuffles up, Hildigrim back in the lead, spotting everything with Jorin right behind, Lighted axe held high. Leaving the goblin watch post, you immediately descend about ten feet to where the passage turns. You are quiet, at least near the front, but with the brilliant light of the axe leading, not exactly hidden. The hallway turns east, and travels about 40' before it opens into another room. You move cautiously down the hall, at one point smelling the rankness, and getting dripped on, by the sewer again, overhead. Hildi hears nothing ahead, however, and as you approach, it seems there is nobody in this 15' by 20' room.
It is clear that it serves as a sort of sleeping quarters, with six ratty straw tack mattresses on the floor, and not much else.
A thin wooden door (unlike the two stone doors you encountered at the entrance/murder hallway) is closed to the south east. You can hear activity and low voices coming from wherever it leads. The door opens in to the room you are in, hinged on the south wall. The voices seem to be having an argument, but quietly, and you can't make out what they are saying, but probably in Common.
OOC > I've gathered you on the map below, but feel free to tell me otherwise, and describe how (or if) you go through the door, and who goes first, etc. If you are trying to be quiet, I'll need Stealth rolls from anyone doing so. Other rolls as appropriate to what you want to do.

Yes, that is why Jalester and Renaer (and Volo) have sent you into the mucky sewers. You can, of course, do whatever you want. Set up a new civilization in the sewers of Waterdeep. Find Pascal's ancient relatives. Head back up to the streets and declare Floon lost for all time. As you like.

Hildigrim listens to Jorin, his eyes moving to the man and back to the room's walls, his face thoughtful. "I'm concerned we might be off the trail. Perhaps the signs were bringing us here. Perhaps they were not." He looks at Jorin again. "I am curious about the voices, though," he smiles. He attempts to quietly open and peek around the door.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ilena does her best to emulate Hildigrim's stealthy way of walking, but is preoccupied with the potential squelching sound of the filth on her boots and keeping an wary eye on Pascal.
OOC > Chaperoned a sleepover last night, yawning as big as Pascal right now...
Hildi (and Ilena) sneak over to the flimsy door, the young monk tapping Hildi so that he avoids knocking a beat up metal cup, Hildigrim tugging on her sleeve when she seems distracted by Pascal's readiness to loom. Together they manage to slide the door open a few inches.
The other room is much the size of this one also a sleeping area by the six mattresses on the ground, but with two of these thinner interior doors on the far wall. There is a torch in a sconce, lighting the place. Two human bandits and a dwarf are gathered around the furthest door, arguing. You can't tell if there's anyone else out of sight behind the door you're peeking through. The dwarf is pushing a table up against a chair that is already up against the door. "That won't work, we have to stuff something under the door," says one of the bandits. With a start, the two of you recognize the Head Tattoo bandit from the bar fight. He looks a little beat up, still, but the eye tattoos on his bald head are unmistakeable.

(Oh good, they’re evil. Wonderful)
Pascal leans over to Jorin, “So... should I eat the goblin, make sure people don’t find him?”

OOC: LOL, Ilena. Pascal, that's one of the saddest gifs I've ever seen, and I really wish you hadn't posted it. But, LOL, Ilena.
Hildigrim at first frowns at the smiling Jorin, then finally understanding, gives the human an equally pleased look. "Affirmative, big fella."
OOC: I'm sure that the turtle made it out just fine! I hope...

OoC - Woah, i hadn't thought of that. I like the idea of setting up a new under-town with Pascal as our Lizard King...
Jorin whispers to Hildi, "Why do you not tip toe to that door and see if you can hear what is going on behind it?"
OOC: “All gonna bow to the new Lizard King! We gonna get them baking some fine cuisine, lemme tell you that!” Haha
Pascal will loom, prepared to do a gator takedown when needed.
