(Um... yeah... I had decided that if the roll had failed or barely succeeded, it might make noise that other cultists on this level would hear. You've made my life a lot easier.)
Jorin skillfully puts his boot through the door handle. That part of the door breaks free cleanly, with only a muffled "crack" of the wood breaking, and a "tink" as the handle falls onto the carpet inside the room.
Jorin looks a bit confused about how to open the door, now that it doesn't have a handle. Quillary is both amazed and amused. She grabs the hole in the door, and uses it to leverage the door open.

Unlink most of the other rooms you've visited, the masonry of the walls, floor, and ceiling is completely (and skillfully) done. The room has a fur carpet leading from the door to an elaborately carved wooden desk along the west wall. Bundles of papers, diagrams, scrolls, and books lie scattered on the desk and across the floor in the center of the room. The room is lit by two glowing crystal spheres on a shelf along the north wall.

After a quick glance at the room, Quillary sighs, "Well, we have lost Hildigrim to this room. We may have to bodily remove him." She kneels on the rug, trying to identify what animal surrendered it, but she's not super great with alive (even formerly alive) animals. Nature: 7

Indeed, as soon as Hildigrim lays eyes on the wealth of information, his mouth fills with saliva. He swallows hard as his little legs carry him to the first something with words written upon it and picks it up.
“Hildi?” Quillary asks sweetly. “Hildigrim?” Pause. “Hildigrim Goodbody!” If she gets his attention, she will continue.
”Hildigrim, could you look quickly, perhaps there is something useful to us now? A map, or a list of things Viallis is allergic to? We can always come back for the more and the stories.”

The halfling jumps and looks over at Quillary, his eyes as big as saucers.
"Could you look quickly, perhaps there is something useful to us now?"
"Oh," he says, looking back at the item in his hands — the first of the many offerings — and smiles wryly. "Of course." He takes a deep breath and begins looking at all of the items as quickly as he can make himself.
Investigation: 13
Anything that looks particularly interesting that doesn't answer any questions pertaining to their immediately predicament, he stuffs in his pack.
Drusk: "Like Quillary said downstairs, we shouldn't linger too long if we want to catch this Viallis guy. We should stay focused on that. Who knows what they did to those 2 people who were taken out of that cell a few hours ago?"
Drusk isn't an expert on carpets or textiles, but he declares that the fur on the ground seems to an ordinary (although high-class) floor covering. No magic, and it isn't concealing anything.
For Hildigrim only, who is browsing the papers on the floor and the top of the desk:
The papers are covered with formulas and schematics, recognizable as related to arcane magic. The papers are in the same handwriting, personal notes and references. On top of the desk is an old tome with recognizable cover art of an otherworldly being: the Retribution of the Ancients. Besides the dark rituals and lore, it has quite a few wizard spells, over a dozen. That is all he can determine in this short time.
The book and the most useful notes about the book go into his pack. There are quite a few drawers in the desk, but any attempts to go through them will take more time.
For Jorin only, who has moved north to admire the stone craft (and stay out of Hildigrim's way):
Jorin notes an imperfection in the floor near that shelf on the north wall. It has a slight depression, compared to the smooth flatness of the rest of the floor.
For Quillary only, who is fussing over Hildi and looking around the room:
On top of the desk was an old tome with recognizable cover art of an otherworldly being: the Retribution of the Ancients. Hildigrim did not look suspicious when he slipped it into his pack along with a bunch of papers, but she might check if he is forthcoming later on when the party has more time to talk.
She also notices that the papers were scattered across the desk and floor, but there are none along the southern wall.

Hildigrim closes the flap on his pack after stuffing a book and a stack of papers inside. He hurries over to the wall and scrutinizes it at Quillary's request. Meanwhile, he says to the room, "Nothing earthshattering on the desk. Some things to analyze later, but no clues for right now."
Not sure if perception or investigation is best. Here's a flat d20: 20 — perception is +8, investigation is +9
"This floor here is different as well, I think this shelf moves..." Join says as he fiddles with the shelf, wall, and floor.
Drusk looks a bit worried. "Isn't that spot you are standing above the prison cell..."
Jorin pushes one of the cracked driftglobes to the side. The floor panel he was standing on swings down, and he falls into darkness. He falls 20 ft., lands prone in that northwestern prison cell on the lower level, taking 9 damage.
"... with the trap door in the ceiling?"
The floor plate that swung down remains open. If Jorin wants to climb up the 20 ft. to rejoin the others, roll an Athletics (STR) check vs. DC 20.
Quillary's instincts tell her something is up with the south wall, but she is unable to figure out what. She gets Hildigrim to help Investigate the wall. He is just able to find a vertical hairline crack that suggests a secret door (the DC was 15), when you are distracted by Jorin falling through the trap door to the north.

(With a rope lowered from the top, Jorin does not need to make an Athletics check to climb back to the others. The trap door, although well concealed, stays open and lacks an automatic reset.)
Drusk gives a disappointed look to Quillary, then shrugs. "If we weren't in a hurry, you could have waited until Jorin muscled his way up to within arm's length of us, and then offered him the rope to help."

Since Jorin took some damage from the fall and the earlier fight, Drusk casts Cure Wounds on Jorin, healing 10 hp.
With the others getting Jorin back up, Hildigrim figures out how to slide the secret door sideways. It reveals a short south passage (5' x 5'). At the other end is the back of another secret door (which is easily noticed from this side).

Hildigrim makes a small noise of disappointment. "It's time like these, I wish I knew a spell for perceiving through solid objects," he says quietly to no one in particular. He then looks around at the others. "What's the plan? Rush in together? It's unlikely if someone is on the other side that we will be able to enter without their knowing."
