(Hildigrim is 45' away from the bard in a straight line, but with the tables and patrons in his way, he will have to travel more than 50' to reach melee range of the stage. I assume Hildigrim is doing move + Dash (either action or bonus action). He will be able to melee attack next round.
As you say, Volo can't attack. If you want to have him Help, you can apply it next round for whichever character/target you want.
While not useful now, in some future combat, you could ask Pascal to feed the Potion of Fire Breathing to Volo. A flame-throwing owl would not be using the Attack action...)

A1: 16 D1: 5, A2: 19 D2: 6, A3: 18 D3: 5
CON save: 24, AoO: 22 D1: 5
What happened that round:
The Master Thief (init 23) strikes down the patron that was wounded the round before. (Patron is unconscious, will be making death saves.) The thief takes 4 necrotic damage as it is unable to resist Quillary's spore attack (CON save 14 vs. DC 15).
Hildigrim (init 20) suspects that Drusk & the crowd are being affected by the bard's playing. Unfortunately, with all the tables and unresponsive people in the way, his progress is slowed more than he planned. Even with Dashing, he is 10' away from the stage, and will have to wait until next round to kick Rooster.
Quillary (init 15) deflects the opportunity attack from the gladiator with her shield (15 to hit). She strikes at the knight, but the plate armor absorbs her blow (17 to-hit vs. AC 18). The knight (init 9) swings at Quillary but misses (8 to hit).
The gladiator (init 14) slashes at Jorin, connecting (23) for 7 slashing damage.
Pascal (init 5) fires up twin thunder orbs, which blast both the knight (18 to hit for 29 damage) and the gladiator (17 for 25). He is a bit worried that he might kill them, but these adventurers are hardy.
Jorin (init 3) was going to lightly smack the gladiator, but sees that Quillary and Pascal mean business. He connects twice (to hit 25, 15) for 15 damage in total.
All 3 adventurers took damage. Their bodies recoiled from the attacks, but their faces didn't show pain, and they are aiming their weapons at your party.
Jorin and the gladiator are a bit south of the long dining table. Quillary is in melee range of the knight and the thief, at the dining table.
(Hildigrim can chose who Volo will help, against which opponent, next round.)
The knight has taken 29 damage (under half health), the thief 4 damage (a scratch), and the gladiator 40 damage (light damage).
Everyone except Drusk can post your actions. Include an initiative roll, please. (OOC: And Happy New Year!)

Quillary grins as the two adventurers focus on her now. "Here we go," she says, and her spores explode in a cloud around her. She glances at Jorin, motions and winks at him, "Do better, Jorin of the Bodt, and someone wake up the half-orc!"
Move: no move, keeping the thief and fighter engaged Action: Wild Shape to engage her Symbiotic Entity (+20 temp hp), double halo of spores dmg, plus 1d6 poison dmg to melee attacks (for 10 min or until temp hp gone) Bonus Action: she casts Healing Word on Jorin, healing 8 dmg Reaction: When the Master Thief starts his turn he must Con Save vs DC 15 or suffer 3 necrotic damage
Pascal extends his hand toward the gladiator, as he does, the gladiator’s veins pulse, “Caffeinate...” The gladiator’s eyes dilate and his body takes on superhuman speed from Pascal’s Haste. Pascal chortles for a moment before snapping his fingers and ending the spell as a free action, “And crash!”
The gladiator can take no actions or reactions on his next turn.

What happened that round:
Jorin (init 22) gets Advantage from Volo for his 1st attack (and only his 1st attack). Both swings hit the gladiator (13, 14), doing another 11 damage.
Quillary (init 19) heals Jorin for 8 points (back to full health). She also activates her spore cloud (20 temp HP).
The gladiator is just able to hit Jorin (17) for 6 damage, so he is no longer at full health. The master thief misses Quillary (1 on the die), and breathes in 3 necrotic from the spore cloud (CON save 1 on the die). The knight also misses Quillary (7 to hit).
Hildigrim (init 8) runs to the stage, and kicks the bard in the shin. There is a brief cackle from the Rooster, but then a mist escapes from his body. The ghost seeps into the floor, and is no longer in sight. The bard has stopped playing, looks weary, and is rubbing his shin.
Pascal (init 5) casts Haste on Jorin. (Remember to use that haste action for another attack, unless you want to use it for something else.)
Now that the bard's frenzied music has stopped, the audience (and Drusk) are looking around in confusion, but will act next round. In particular, the patrons at the long table are staring to freak out at the fighting going on around them.
Jorin and the gladiator are a bit south of the long dining table. Quillary is in melee range of the knight and the thief, at the dining table. Hildigrim is up at the stage.
(Hildigrim can chose who Volo will help, against which opponent, next round. I am assuming that Hildigrim will use a free action to inform the others (with a yell) that a ghost was possessing the bard.)
The knight has taken 29 damage (under half health), the thief 7 damage (a scratch), and the gladiator 51 damage (still over half health).
Jorin has taken 6 damage (47/53) and Hildigrim has taken 1 (31/32).
Everyone (including Drusk) can post their actions for next round. Include an initiative roll, in case I need it.

The Master Thief (init 24) is able to side-step the spores (CON save 20), but that causes his sword swing to go wild (9 to hit).
Jorin (init 18) rages up, and strikes the gladiator twice (19s to hit) for 20 damage total. The gladiator strikes back at Jorin (20 hit) for 3 damage (6 halved by rage).
Quillary (init 13) strikes the knight hard (20 to hit, 25 for Volo advantage) for 10 clubbing and 3 (non-lethal) poison damage. The knight gets a good strike (15 to hit), but Quillary does a bull-fighting sweep with her magic cloak to avoid the great sword.
Hildigrim readies his bow for next round, being cautious since ranged weapons cannot do non-lethal damage.
Drusk (init 9) will move 15' north, so that Hlidigrim is within 30'. He casts Bless on Hildigrim, Jorin, and Quillary.
Pascal (init 4) builds up a nice Firebolt, but as he is aiming it at the gladiator, one of the bar patrons shoves Pascal and ruins his aim (10 to hit). The patron, in his confusion, thought Pascal was going to attack him. After seeing the dirty look in Pascal's eyes, the patron decides to run away instead of interfering with Pascal anymore.
Damage status:
The knight has taken 42 damage (hurting, 1 or 2 hits left), the thief 7 damage (a scratch), and the gladiator 71 damage (under half health).
Jorin has taken 9 damage total (44/53) and Hildigrim has taken 1 (31/32).

(Something a little different this round. Don't post your move until you read this.)
Now that the crowd has been woken up, most of them are fleeing for the doors.
Two people are checking up on the bard. They are about to have stern words about Hildigrim kicking Rooster in the shin, but Hildigrim's bowstring being pulled causes them to back off.
There are drunken guys near the fight with Quillary and the female knight. (They aren't as interested in the dwarf thief who is being threatened by the spore cloud.) One of the patrons at the dining table yells, "you tried to kill Kemmy, damn you!" and wrestles with the female knight. Quillary has Advantage on her next attack on the Knight.
There are drunken ladies watching the fight between the underdressed Gladiator and the red-faced Jorin. There are also some drunken fools trying to stop their fight. Both Jorin and the Gladiator have Disadvantage on their next attack. (Jorin's second attack from haste is normal.)
Both Drusk and Pascal are caught in a tide of people running for the front door. Drusk and Pascal have disadvantage on any to-hit rolls they make this next turn.
Everyone post your actions. Please include an initiative roll, in case it is needed. Volo can Help anyone this round that Hildigrim choses. For those Blessed (Quillary, Jorin, Hildigrim), don't forget to add a d4 to your to-hit roll. And a reminder that spells and ranged attacks cannot be non-lethal.
