"Retrieve that necklace," Hildi says, also motioning at Bugman. "That vial attached to his belt, as well. And inspect the others. Be quick, but see if there's anything else of interest." He turns to look at the nimblewright. He wants to just stop and examine the construct. So fascinating. How does it work? No, there isn't time. "Bhinros," the halfling says, focusing on the task at hand, "is there anything else for them to find? Anything they should look for?" He suddenly whips his head around to look behind him. His eyes narrow as he examines the windows. "I think we're being watched. Hurry!"
The nimblewright was on the run from those 4 thugs, and ducked into this abandoned house. Looking around, it runs out the door on the east side of the living room.
(On the map, your party entered the south door, and the west living room entrance was used, so this is the only one left.)

(Nimblewrights have a base movement of 60'. The party chases, but Bhinros has a bit of a lead, and pulls away.)
On its way out the door, you hear another message in the same Drow voice from Bhinros: "Complete your mission. Don't let the Xanathar destroy you."
The construct then puts on a burst of speed (double move). As it gets away from the house (and the party), you hear a repeat: "Thanks, buddy!"
(You aren't catching the nimblewright, unless you do something extraordinary.)
When you have more time to look over your acquisitions, you have 4 necklaces with Xanathar Guild symbols, and a potion of heroism.
Drusk: "Should we get away from here? We don't want to run into any more Xanathar, if we can help it."

Hildigrim tells Volo to follow Bhinros and then return to tell where the nimblewright has gone. (Volo has a base speed of 60 feet as well.) "We will be somewhere in this area," he tells his familiar telepathically. The halfling stops running and turns to the others. "I've told Volo to follow him. Once he knows where he is going, he will return. We should stay in this area so I know when he is near, and he doesn't have to look for me."
“Well, then we should try to hide, no need to run into this Xanathar’s guards.” Quillary looks for a likely place to hide four normal people and a red dinosaur.

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
When your group emerges from the abandoned house, Zsoksia (the flying snake) drops onto Pascal's shoulder, checking if you need directions anywhere.
Before this detour (with the chase and fight), Tasselgryn suggested visiting Lower Port, as there might be witnesses (of the courier abduction) near the Hired Horrors demonstrations. You have directions on how to get there.
(For Volo, there are three options:
Told to return to this house. Hildigrim would have to be within 100' to telepathically communicate with the owl. Most of the structures around here are run down and abandoned. You can find a hiding spot, but if more Xanathar thugs show up and make a thorough search, you will be found.
Told to return to Lower Port, near the Hired Horrors exhibition.
Told to return to the house, but Hildigrim can be somewhere else. "As an action, you can temporarily dismiss your familiar. It disappears into a pocket dimension where it awaits your summons. As an action while it is temporarily dismissed, you can cause it to reappear in any unoccupied space within 30 feet of you." I don't see a range mentioned. So if Hildi waits long enough to be certain Volo has followed the nimblewright, the owl can be summoned anywhere in 12 seconds time.
You are free to retroactively decide which option you like best.)

The player says I think #3 is going to be our best option if we can't stay since they're probably going to decide this after Volo is more than 100 feet away. Hildi won't like it, but it makes the most sense.
Drusk: "Rather than hide, maybe get away from here? We don't want to be anywhere near these dead goons when they are found. I think we should continue to Lower Port, and continue our business like nothing odd happened. If we are part of a crowd, the Xanathar Guild will probably look at their "usual suspects" (rival gangs), rather than worry about random visitors like us."
Drusk look at the 4 necklaces. "These all seem to be the same, nothing distinctive. As long as these are generic Xanathar identifiers, it will be okay to hold onto them." Points at potion of heroism, in a distinctive black vial with a yellow bug emblem on the side. "We should transfer the contents to another container, decide who wants it, and throw the original vial back in the house."

Hildigrim furrows his brow at Drusk as he suggests leaving the vicinity, but then begins rooting through his bag at the idea of transferring the potion to another container.
OOC: Do we still have vials of potion from the humanoid Volo?
I like option #2. It gives us, sort of, the best of both worlds. We won't be found from the Xanathar and if its taken too long or Hildigrim is worried about Volo finding us, he can use the pocket dimension blip to grab him.
Quillary considers the options Drusk laid out. "I am not interested in getting more enmeshed in the doings down here. Best we make ourselves scarce, and I was curious about these hired horrors. We should go there. We should each of us take one of these necklaces, however, in case we need to pass ourselves off as one of these Xanathars."
