(Nice guys) You all continue down the path and right as the sun begins to set you can see chimney smoke farther down the path (will eleborate more when I get off)
The rutted track emerges from a wooded hillside, and you catch your first glimpse of Phandalin. The town consists of forty or fifty simple log buildings, some built on old fieldstone foundations. More old ruins, crumbling stone walls covered in ivy and briars, surround the newer houses and shops, showing how this must have been a much larger town in centuries past. Most of the newer buildings are set on the sides of the cart track, which widens into a muddy main street of sorts as it climbs toward a ruined manor house on a hillside at the east side of town.
As you approach, you see children playing on the town green and townsfolk tending to chores or running errands at shops. Many people look up as you approach, but all return to their business as you go by.
(Welcome to Phandalin! What would you like to do first?)
As you make your way into the small town you can see that the hustle and bustle of the day has slowed down with the sun slowly setting over the horizon. Most of the people in the street are either children making full use of the last bit of sunlight of the day before dinner and bedtime, the rest are traders both men and women alike all slowly making their way to their homes. (Make a perception Check to find and locate Barthen's Provisions).
As you all continue into the town the light slowly begins to dim on the horizon making it hard for you to see Vormash but in asking around a young girl making her way home points you in the right direction to Barthen's Provisions which ironically was the first building you passed when entering the town. Trekking your way back to the Large Brick Building you finally see the sign hanging off the side. You can still see a glimmer of candle light in the building indicating the store has yet to close for the day.
Vormash peaks into the window seeing a small little candlelight through the dirty windows of the brink building called Barthen's Provisions. I walk up to the big wooden door and knock "Anyone in? We got your delivery and we'd like to sell some items too"
Vormash you hear muffled shifting of feet and a high pitched raspy voice say "Come on in! You made it just in time were closing up soon." You can hear the voice seems strained somehow. When you open the door you walk in and see a middle aged man holding a large crate and shuffling it in to the corner. "Welcome welcome forgive me give me just a second just putting away some hard tack." Struggling with the crate he finally set it down in the corner wiping is sweat drenched brow and turns to you Vormash which you can now see a portly man with red hair, a bushy mustache, and a strong jawline slowly balding on top the bags under his eyes showing the days work coming to a close. Rubbing his hands together as he turns he look at you with a smile and say "Welcome to Barthen's Provisions the one stop shop for your adventuring and dungeon delving supplies, I am Elmar Barthen what can i do for you this late evening."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Good evening kind sir... sorry to bother you this late, but we have to deliver this to you before we go and stay at the inn. Also, we'd like to sell some items we salvaged from a few goblins on the way here." Vormash pulls out a sack filled with armor and weapons (4-Shortbows, 4-Scimitars, 4-sets of Leather Armor, 4-Shields). "Hoping maybe we can part with a good deal for these items as well as the payment for the delivery of your supplies". Persuasion - 9
"Ahh the deliver from Neverwinter you fellows must of been booking it to get here so soon but i'm not surprised with that task master of a dwarf where is that grumpy old bugger!" looking over to Les "Yes master dwarf we medical bandages and wraps" (Poxl looking around you see this shop is filled with a large amount of adventuring supplies everything from backpacks to large equipment packs and even tool kits for various professions though nothing in the way of armaments you gather this is shop is mainly for travelers and dungeon delvers and less for combat encounters.)
"Thank you so much for opening up for us at this hour. We would like to dispose of the equipment we have acquired and get paid for our services so we may be on our way. Also, if you can point us to the nearest descent inn in town, We'd really appreciate it." Vormash hauls the goblin loot on the Dwarf's table. "Oh, and if you can provide some medical bandage for my friend right 'ere"
"Yes of course you all must be very weary your payment for the goods that's ten gold a piece to each of you as agreed." looking over the goblin equipment Elmar smiles at you and says "well looks like someone got into a good scrap how many exactly did that old dwarf kill mmmm just between me and you, also unfortunately i do not deal in weapons and armor your best bet is to sell these at the Lionshield Coster and the best inn in town is the Stonehill Inn but where is that grumpy old fart of a dwarf hiding and for you master dwarf that will be five gold pieces for a Healer's kit (-This kit is a leather pouch containing bandages, salves, and splints. The kit has ten uses. As an action, you can expend one use of the kit to stabilize a creature that has 0 hit points, without needing to make a Wisdom (Medicine) check.)
“I don’t think that “old dwarf” made it. We barely made it out alive ourselves. We came here so we could finish the job and rest safely before heading back out in the morning to go figure out what happened and take care of those wretched beasts.” Wes says with a somber, but determined tone. “Do you have just a set of linens to be used as bandages?”
(I don’t need a healers kit mechanically, just wanted some bandages for RP reasons)
"O well i hate to hear that he was a good person i really hope he's ok and if you're looking for just some bandages and not the whole set i'll pull em out and sell em to ya for six silver."
I can do the last one -- Poxl is the least hurt so she can take a turn at watch. Perception: 24

“Yes, let’s get this business done with. Resupply and rest, so we can get back out there.”

Vormash also asks around if the town has been having problems with goblins and where we can dispose/sell our loot from the goblins. Investigation - 20

“Also if you had any clean linens to be used as bandages. I would be interested in those.”
Poxl is just gonna look around the shop while they're talking, looking for anything interesting or particularly useful. Perception 18

(Ok les is heading towards the Tavern dose anyone else have anything they want to do before following Les or are you all heading to the local tavern?)
