Kora makes a mind link with the badger, knowing full well who it is. << I am so glad to see you, John >> She gets up, groaning. << Let's find the others >>
Johnothon can respond, btw, in Kora's head.

<<That is good, yes, we should find the others...>> Badgothon speaks back, although it doesn’t quite sound like he enjoys this telepathy, no matter the uses of it.
Badgothon, too small to be ridden on, waves with his claws for Kora to follow as he escorts Kora out.
Sylrie felt the smooth crystal with his hands, it surprised him that it wasn't cold, but warm. It was his mind attempting to escape the hell that was breaking loose around Greywind at that moment. He was going to buried here, he could feel his life, his hopes, his dreams slipping away. Even as the dust taste settled in his mouth a memory was revived of a wine cellar he had visited when he was younger, the wine had been sweet and the laughter that night seemed to go on for an eternity. An eternity was how long he would be stuck down here, well until he ran out of air; and even if by some miracle the air wasn't choked from his lungs they surely wouldn't be able to dig their way out without the aid of picks and shovels.
Was that a giant Badger? Sylrie's senses returned to the moment, had one of his fell soldiers summoned, or no became. It was Johnathan, it had to be, brilliant Johnathan. He would dig them out. But what if the tunnel collapsed, or another earthquake happened. Gotta roll with it.
"Greywind!" he called out, "These crystal chambers are strong enough to hold back the earth!" he hoped the others could hear him, "Get beneath or in them while Johnathan digs the tunnel!"
He knew the others would be hampered by their sight in the dark, his elven eyes gave him the advantage there, he could help guide them, but he couldn't risk striking a torch; if their air had been cut off it would burn up whatever was left. But wait, he didn't need one, he began savagely searching through his pack until he found a metal lantern, suspended in the middle of which was an Eberron Dragonshard. 'To light the way home for Greywind' he remembered being told as he was bestowed the lantern. He spoke the activation word and light began to flood the chamber once more.
Aria breathes out a sigh of relief as Sylrie lights the lantern. "Thank Siberys. Now, about that plan?" She raises an eyebrow, giving him a faint smile and concealing the dry fear in her throat. "I don't suppose you all have some kind of signaling system you could use to let each other know your locations."
Kora coughs up some of the rock dust, and spits. "Thank the Path for that light, Sylrie. Fine mess we're in, lucky we're a talented crew. Kash! Are you okay in there? Should we all climb in one while Johnothon shores up his tunnels?"

you are unaware of what is happening outside the chamber. Inside you see lights, warm and comforting lights. You have never felt so safe in your life. So protected. So warm. So loved.
John, you hear Perci's rapping, rapping on a pile of stones 15 feet below you.

In your sleep, you see something. Something you can't explain. A battle fought on many fronts. Elves, humans wearing Cyre colors, soldiers from Thran and Karnath. All across the fields of battle, you see scenes of death and destruction.
Inside you feel peace.
The cries and screams in the streets, a jewel of a city with buildings rising high on sky-scraping coloums of stone, warforged the size of 5 story building stand tall and the clouds fall upon them.
The warmth, you feel the warmth.
A loud sound, like a gong made of the bones of a mountain rings loudly. Across the plains, across the plateaus, across the rivers the clouds roll over them all. Flying faster through the skies, you see those on the battlefields stop dead in their tracks. Literally. Frozen in place, their last actions now a snapshot of who they once were.
Nothing can harm you, nothing can hurt you, this protection you feel is absolute.
The clouds stop, as you see thousands of people, all of them running from the clouds. The clouds that form a wall; a cloud wall that reaches the sky and beyond. You travel deep inside the cloud and see the destruction now, the whole countryside, all the millions of souls, the soldiers fighting on all fronts... death everywhere. A loud sound, like a gong made of the bones of a mountain rings loudly.
You are loved, held tightly by the light's embrace. You have felt nothing like this. You are loved.

As you dig down you are able to free enough rocks and dirt and large stones to see Perci, on a ledge. The ledge hangs out over a large crevasse. Down in the crevasse you see nothing but darkness.
The crevasse is about 10 feet wide and is about 25 feet long. He looks banged up, but alive.
Perci, you see a Badgothon come up to you and dig around you. You are saved, for now at least, from immediate danger.
John, where would you like to dig next?

"You're not supposed to be here." a voice floats through the cloud wall as you settle in this ruined land, the bodies you see is a detachment of Warforged from Cyre. The captain warforged's shield is green with a crown insignia, and a banner flying in the back shows the same green field with a crown inscribed within a laurel wreath and with a bell hanging below it. A Karnathi undead brigade seems to have been fighting them here. But neither sides move, they are there stuck and dead.

Badgothon makes some badger noises as he jerks his head backwards, and proceeds to slowly back out of the tunnel.
Once he reaches the non-caved in part of the tunnel, he cries out as he sits next to the wall, ready to dig out.
