"We have what we came for, right? We should be returning back to the city then, or get as far as we can away from here until we can find a better place to rest."
OOC: Anyone with half or less HP will suffer exhaustion to push themselves with heavy travel. You're wounds are still wounds.
"Yes, this is it," Gimble says patting his tunic. He then turns to Nat and reminds him gesturing to the south to the small desert then grassland ahead of them and the great desert beyond. "The mountain is the only shelter unless you mean walk as far as we can before we drop. Without horses it's going to take three days," he reminds them. "Anyone look for the horses? If it's been days they might have wandered to find more water and food," he adds sighing. "I'm knacker. I think traveling for more than a few hours will finish me off...again," he adds with a smirk.
Nat remembers grassland road then it abruptly stopped inin sand before hours to the mountain they're on. There was no other cover to speak of!

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.

Retiog goes over to where the horse where tied up to see if he can locate any tracks of the missing animals. "Someone want to help me take a closer look?"
Survival 17 (asking for help to negate disadvantage from poison)
Together Alici and Retiog find a trail of human and horse tracks leading away from the mountain back towards thev grasslands. They aren't fresh however maybe two days old. Retiog thinks a full two days passed below now based off the tracks alone. It's interesting he thinks his body nor hus mind suffered from this passage of time.

The half-orc scratches the back of his head as he examines the tracks. "Looks like someone may have led our horses back (south?) to the grasslands," he says walking back over to the group. "Looks like the tracks are a couple of days old. So your belief about time seems to be right." He eyes the mountain suspiciously, then adds, "I don't like sitting around here for too long, but we can take a quick rest to tend to our wounds and then start our journey back."
Nat shakes his head. I'd love to, but... he looks around. Maybe not here. He shrugs and turns to Gimble. Lead on, boss, shifts the weight of his pack on his back, and sets off wherever the others go.
"Here at least there's places to hide," Gimble offers gesturing at tge craggy face of the mountain. "Out there it's just open grassland," he adds looking to Retiog and the others. "I say we tuck ourselves up for awhile and move on from there. Some if us will still be poisoned but at least we'll gain back some vitae," he adds winking at Duc.

Survival for hiding place? 11
"Yes, having some sort of protection is better than none," Retiog adds to Gimble's point. "Let's move away from the opening so if something does come out, we are not caught resting."
[ooc : my theory is that the poison was laced with some kind of hallucinogen. we all think we're hiding super well, but really we're just laying on the rocks looking at the pretty morning light and basking in its warmth as the sun rises over us.]
