'Seeing Kestrell glancing down the sides of the building towards the back, Vassa takes this as his cue. Sneaking silently past the large blocky shadow to his right, the bard moves up to the opposite side of the warehouse that Kestrell was looking down and checks to see if there are any windows on this side or footholds that would allow him to climb the building?'
[OOG] Hey dude. Not sure if you want us to roll new stealth and perception checks every time we post we're doing something, or if you want to carry over and use previous rolls?
D&D is a game, but it's not just a game. It's the ultimate storyboard, a campfire to share with friends, an imaginary call to imaginary arms and a ship to sail to horizons yet undreamt of...
[OOC] A single stealth roll is good until you reveal yourself (step into light, get seen, attack someone, yell, etc.). Perception and investigation are per whatever you're trying to perceive or investigate.
You don't see any way up to the roof of the two story warehouse. The only entrances were the ones already mentioned.
'Satisfied that the options for entry are the front door, the window or the loading door, Vassa sneaks back past the giant lumpy shadow now on his left, but quietly checks the window to see if it's locked, before moving back to his party.'

"Well, let's just go knock on the door. Pretend we want to buy a wagon load of candles."
"Hey, that's the most... amazing plan i've ever heard!"
'Snapping a mock salute in a parody of what he's seen Watch officers do, Vassa says with a wink,'
"Watch Officer Ben Dover, reporting for duty, SIR!"
'To the likely puzzlement of his companions, Vassa pulls out his disguise kit and looks around for anything that he can scavenge to help create a convincing Watch Officer disguise.'
"Whoever's in there, if they're the ones who grabbed Floon, they might be happy to nab or kill some random candle salesman... but surely they wouldn't attack members of the Watch, right?"

In a matter of just a few minutes, Vassa puts together a bit of a disguise. It's not perfect, but hey, we're in a dark alley.
'Stands up and turns to his fellow party members as though he's just put together the best disguise in history,'
"Hey guys, don't freak out, it's still me... Vassa! Well.... what do you think? Watchman Ben will go up there, knock on the door, ask if they've seen anything suspicious, have a bit of a looksey and if I see nothing untoward, I'll merely come back and report. If I do see Floon or something else fishy, then I'll give you all a signal to move in... How does that sound?"

Lockbox during this time slowly, ever so slowly, draws his greataxe above his head. Ready to strike, an unseen shadow of rage. He started letting the pain and anger build up, finally it was his time to shine. The shiniest shadow.
He watches Vassa get ready and realizes that Vassa might actually be a guard...he looks so convincing.
((OOG Lockbox is readying an attack. If someone tries to attack Vassa he is swinging. Swing first, ask questions later.))

As soon as you knock, and the entire time you're talking, you hear what sounds like people running, furniture being knocked over, etc. By the time you finish talking it's completely quiet inside the building.
