Phaedra gives Elon a concerned look as she thinks to herself *Helping one Zhent faction over another, I am not very happy with this but then Elon seems to be the lesser evil.*
Silver just nods "I'll remember to come back in 3 days then. As for this armor, tell me more."
Dorophil glares at Rowan while explaining, "As long as you're not standing in direct sunlight, the armor works like any other glamored studded leather armor. However, if you are standing in direct sunlight, it's appearance reverts to normal and it's slightly less protective. Look, honestly, I just want to sell it so certain people stop giving me a hard time about it."
OOC: Normally has a +1, in direct sunlight it'll be a -1 to AC.
"While I hate to be the boring ol' voice of reason, whatever plan we come up with, it should probably align with our goals in or around the Gralhund Estate. Are we simply prioritising the retrieval of the Stone of Golorr in order to thwart Manshoon and his Zhents? Do we consider the capture, or even the slaying, of Urstool equally important, considering his likely role in the fatal explosion? Do we also want to find out if Nim might be in the Gralhund Estate or attempt to look into what other mischief this ambitious family might be up to?
Not that I'm a fan of splitting up, but if we have multiple goals, then maybe we should consider whose talents would be best utilised achieving which objective? 'The early bird catches no worms with a bear trap', my dear old nan used to say... Well, she said it once, at least."
Vassa looks around at his new group of friends realising how quickly he was getting used to being part of a team... and how much he hated the idea of losing any of them. While his own ideas of late weren't exactly panning out ('Surprise, surprise', Lemi would say), he could at least help his companions come up with something feasible as a collective.
D&D is a game, but it's not just a game. It's the ultimate storyboard, a campfire to share with friends, an imaginary call to imaginary arms and a ship to sail to horizons yet undreamt of...
Phaedra starts, "What... did I say something out loud? I already said Mansoon was a nasty character, just because us Harpers stick to the side of good and prefer to help people does not mean I'm going to cause trouble because you brought on a Zhent."

"I think we should do all of the above, Vassa. Serenade and I can take this Urstool fellow. Maybe pick up some more of those sausages along the way. We should probably have some backup with us though. Someone who recognizes the Nimblewit thing if it is in the Greyhound estate."

"Well, again, I'm not saying we should unnecessarily split up. Both Urstul and Hrabbaz sound like VERY dangerous people, so I'm not sure that taking either of them on in ones, twos or even threes is a good idea. Truth be told, I'm not much use in a fight, but I'd still feel better if I was on hand to support whoever was standing toe-to-toe with these goons. And having seen the bloody carnage that these gangsters are causing, I'd like to see them pay for their crimes as much as anyone.
But if we are going to snoop around in the Gralhund Estate, then I'd certainly volunteer put my hand up as part of that crew. Unless we can think of a feasible way to all go in together?"

Silver just blinks looking at him "That seems like an odd flaw to put into armor to be honest. Though I also don't understand why it's called curse then. Usually I think back to stories like weapons that took the blood of their owner or summoned a demon when you killed to many people. Is the only negative effect really less protection in sunlight? If so how much where you thinking like 400 gold?"

Usually I think back to stories like weapons that took the blood of their owner or summoned a demon when you killed to many people. Is the only negative effect really less protection in sunlight? If so how much where you thinking like 400 gold?"
"It's not a curse!" the blacksmith snaps before taking a calming breath. "Sorry. Let me explain. I assume, since you're half drow, that you grew up on the surface. I grew up underground in one of the drow cities. It's normal for weapons, armor, hell even clothing, made in the underdark to not function properly in the light. It's not a curse. It's a trade off. By allowing this inconsequential weakness it allows us to make other aspects of the item stronger. Again, I now understand this isn't always appreciated by the surface races. But it was something I wanted to do for myself. But, I'm having trouble moving the armor. Normal glimmered armor is several thousands of gold. I had hoped to sell this for at least a thousand. At this point, I'd gladly settle for less. Could you see yourself paying 500 for it?"
Bason will step up. "Well, let's take a look at this armor then! Can't agree on a final price without seeing the piece, now can we." Bason will take a look at the armor when it's brought out. "Can we put it in the sun, see what you mean about this... ah, feature you are talking about." If they let him, he will look at it in the sunlight as well. "It's very good craftsman ship, I'll tell you that. And it is an interesting enchantment! But, I don't know how useful it will be." Bason will turn back to Silver and give him a wink.
Dorophil fetches the armor from the back of the shop and brings it out for you to examine it. When you all go outside with the armor you notice that Dorophil stands so that he's in the shade but the armor is in the sunlight. "As I said, only direct sunlight is a problem. If you're standing somewhere that's lit up by reflected sunlight, torches, or magic, or if you're in the shade, the armor will work as intended. It really is a solid set of armor."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Silver just blinks looking at the armor and nods "As you said only direct sunlight, which means for roughly 12 hours a day that I'd be walking the street, it would be a problem. I will admit that it looks cool friend, but outside of that if I'm in the daytime doing work then really I'm risking the danger of it not providing good protection." he just places his hand over his mouth for a second as he thinks before speaking again "I'll tell you what I'll buy it for 400 gold and ensure that no one knows about the negative side of wearing it. I'm sure the look will generate a lot of questions and I'll be able to promote the name of the great blacksmith Dorophil. I'm sure this will drum up a lot of business for you, on top of that I'll throw in ten percent discounted drinks for you at Trollskull Manor. That is unless you would be willing to do glimmered studded leather at 800 gold with seventy five percent off drinks and twenty-five percent off food."
"Well, again, I'm not saying we should unnecessarily split up. Both Urstul and Hrabbaz sound like VERY dangerous people, so I'm not sure that taking either of them on in ones, twos or even threes is a good idea. "Let's all go in and pass out flyers for opening night of our creamery. I mean brewery. That would give us all an excuse to be there."
Kestrell turns to Selinae, "Disguise wise, I think it is up to you. I'll just twirl my moostash ends a little bit and call it good."

"That could actually work, Kes, though if Urstul was involved in the attack down the street, then mentioning our connection to the Trollskull could possibly raise some red flags. I was thinking along the lines of some of us sneak in while others pretend to be mercs for hire, but I'm not fussed on the plan to get in, so long as we all have some idea of what we're doing in there and we're all close enough to help each other out if things turn bad.
Even if Urstul and Manshoon's faction know our location, however, they may not know our identities. Disguises are probably still a great idea though for those seeking to gain entrance via the front door, Sel. I can help a little with that part of the plan."

Dorophil thinks hard about this offer and about how much the other smiths make fun of him for this armor. If this guy really could drum up business for him that would really shut the others up. "400 gold and your good recommendation sir. I'm not much of drinker I'm afraid but if you can send me more business I might just be tempted to have a drink or two. Follow me back inside and we'll finish up the transaction."
Dorophil leads you to a dressing room and has you try on the armor. He makes some adjustments to make it fit a bit a better. And steps back, "That should do it! Please let me know if you need anything else."

" So best not to be seen."
"I don't give a rat's balls who or what these Zhents are, but they are probably like coyotes. If you kill 'em all, there will still be a couple around. So, let's do that. And if you want me to put on a mask and where a little disguise, well it wouldn't be the first time I've done that."
Kestrell pauses and looks into the distance thoughtfully: "Hmm, well I guess it would be the first time outside of the bedroom..."
