Sel and Kes, you follow the priest for a while and eventually are lead through North Ward to the Hospice of St. Laupsenn. The hospice is in a Temple Ilmater, god of suffering. As the priest enters the temple and hospice he is greeted kindly by others. You learn that his name is Vhaspar Holmdreg and that he appears to be well respected by the others working in the hospice.
" Well....he seems like a decent fellow...but maybe we should ask around?", Sel said to Kestrell.
"I would not pretend to be one of the clergy of her Most Holy Mother of All Magic, the Lady of Mysteries...Our Lady of Spells. When I was a little child in Elturgard it was a man of her faith that saved my mothers and my life and ever since that moment I know two things... that my heart, mind and soul were hers and that I would do all that I can in her name to rid the realms of evil. And here I am.
Murderer? I believe I know the person that you are referring to but that is not why I am here. Matters of the heart are the domain of Sune, Lady Firehair, not Mystra and I."
I actually have a request of you, though I would like to tell you face to face if possible? There is a lot in the balance and I believe that the windmill you are living in has a part in it... can we please talk? I will put my weapons down"
She takes off her mace from her belt and places it on the ground to one side.
Silver just stays silent as Phaedra interacts with the woman and watches as the mace is placed on the group. He just takes a step back letting her stay in front and to react if anyone were to try and attack them from behind.
You hear movement on the other side of the door as well as Kalain muttering to herself. A moment later she's yelling again. "Almost! Almost I believe you! But no, I'll not unlock the door. You'll end me! No no no! I will end him though! Soon, I will!"
" Well....he seems like a decent fellow...but maybe we should ask around?", Sel said to Kestrell.
"Or...and I'm just spitballing here...we could walk over to that coffee shop over there, grab a coffee and a pie or three and enjoy the rest of the morning."
Kestrell offers his elbow to escort Selinae to said coffee shop.

Selinae wavers but her stomach chooses that moment to remind her that she hasn't eaten since early the previous night.
" Fine, but your buying and we have to keep an eye out for him."
"Are you talking about the Lord? Is that who you are looking at ending. Maybe there is another way to solve this issue. Is it something that we could help with?"

"Kalain, I am not going to go away. We need to talk and I am not hear to cause you harm. While I wait I will best your home in the name of Mystra"
A little unsure and perturbed with her inability to even get Kalain to open the door, Phaedra starts to recite a pray to bless the windmill.
Then an idea come into her mind. She reaches inside her robes, opens a small pouch and puts her hand on the Stone of Golor and says in a whisper,
"Goloor, what do you know about Kalain, the woman who lives inside this windmill."
The stone mentally sighs before continuing in a lecturing tone. "Kalain was once a famous Waterdavian painter. She was commissioned to paint a portrait of Lord Dagult Neverember, then Waterdeep’s Open Lord, in 1475 DR. Her meeting with Neverember marked the beginning of a torrid love affair that lasted over a year. One of the many gifts he lavished on her was an windmill that had been converted into a home."
"Their relationship faltered as Dagult’s visits to Neverwinter became more frequent and extended. He made promises to Kalain that he failed to keep, and when she raised the subject of faithful commitment, he treated her poorly, for his true love was Neverwinter. Kalain became enraged after Dagult’s rejection and turned to painting monsters that, in her mind, represented him. Her power to harness the Weave clings to the fabric of her works, giving her the ability to bring these monsters to life on command."
"Ultimately, Neverember used his influence to ruin Kalain and divorce her from Waterdeep’s high society. She was allowed to keep her home, but her works and her reputation were destroyed, slowly and methodically. Kalain’s spirit was broken, leading to the onset of madness. Now she locks herself away, content to let time erode the last of her conscience. She always saw Dagult and Waterdeep as one and the same, and now they are both her mortal enemies."
Silver just sighs standing next to Phaedra as he just rubs his nose to cover his mouth and whisper "I can pick the lock probably." to her waiting to see her response.

So just incase it is needed I will make a social roll; Deception is +2 and Persuasion is +5 with Adv (unless having Silver acting as my bodyguard gives me Adv on deception as well)

As the eclairs were eaten and coffee drunk.......and a half-hearted eye kept on the temple Selinae spoke with Kestrell.
" So what do you think about all this? Its a long way from carting crates or crewing on a trawler. And did you understand what the big deal with the rock is?"
Kestrell looks up, wiping a last piece of chocolate from his lips.
"To be honest, I don't understand most of what all these city folk are talking about, I'm certainly not following the windmill and the rock discussion."
"At least you and I have some good company along the way though. Tell me Serinade, have you ever had a picnic at the top of the Storybrook Falls? It's breathtaking really, you can see for miles as the river winds through the valley. The sun warms up the dark basalt enough to make the water temperature quite inviting, and there's a great natural pool that has formed near the edge of the falls."

Help me out here. Kalain has walked off. You're standing at the door talking to the stone. Who are you trying to deceive or persuade?
Kestrell looks up, wiping a last piece of chocolate from his lips.

Kestrells description stirred a long buried memory from her forgotten early childhood and Selinae felt simultaneously troubled and comforted.
" I have not."
She looked down at the table, " Do you think we're all going to be all right?"
" Oh! And what did you think of my folks? Has anyone else said anything?"
"Oh boy, you are missing out! When we are done here, we should get the gang to come up north to my neck of the woods. I'll show everyone around, we can go on a hunt or two and have a picanic."
Kestrell ponders her question in silence for a moment. "Yes, we will be alright. I don't know about Silver or Elon, but we're going to be fine. And Phaedra. Why wouldn't we be? We kick ass!"
"Your folks are great! I didn't get to talk to your pops much, but he seems like a solid fellow. And your mom seems very...patient. That's a good quality in a mother. No one has said anything about them, I think they're pretty preoccupied with finding the painting of a windmill. Or the windmill with paintings? Or a windmill that paints perhaps."
