Pheadra looks back at Silver.

"She's not there anymore is she?"

OCC: She was trying to continue the conversation with her and hoping she would still hear it.

Silver just shrugs as he walks towards the door, his armor shifting into the traditional black long coat and white shirt underneath appearance "Maybe, but you tried, to be honest I thought she was actually beginning to listen to you. Looks like it is my turn to try it." he just walks up to the door and begins to inspect it for any traps or additional locking mechanisms.

Silver doesn't see any traps and the door's lock looks tough but Silver has picked better locks.

Silver just sighs as he looks at Phaedra and then proceeds to pull his picks out and tries to open the door.

With less than a minute of work Silver feels the lock give way. The door is now closed but unlocked.

Elon gives Silver a tap on the shoulder to let him know he is ready for whatever might be on the other side.

Ready action: Shocking Grasp

"Is this really a good idea..." she say quietly to the two of them.

Silver just shrugs "Don't know to be honest, but we need to get in there right."

*whispering* "Phae, why don't you go in first to keep her calm and we will back you up" 

"Well if you insist..." Pheadra gingerly steps forward and takes a deep breath.

"It is for the betterment of Waterdeep Phaedra, we are not common thieves breaking into some poor woman's house. I'm not even a thief, not that there is anything inherently wrong with knowing those skills, Silver just has natural talents, it's just his gift. We aren't.... oh Mystra please forgive me."

Silver just smirks as he taps her shoulder "Your going to make me blush with compliments like that." he says quietly back as he follows behind her into the dwelling.

When Phaedra opens the door and steps into the home the first thing she notices is the smell. It's not strong but it is quite foul. As she looks around all that she can see is filthy and she's pretty sure she just saw a rat run around the corner at the end of the hall. The one clean thing she sees is a painting of a gargoyle on the wall across from her, next to another door. It's one of the most lifelike paintings she's ever seen. Continuing to look around Phaedra sees that the room also extends into a hall running north and south. There's no sign of Kalain.

Elon follows behind Phae into the windmill watching for anything that might attack.

As Elon looks around he spots a few more rats scurrying about in the filth but nothing threatening.

Phaedra walks on in, taking a peek around both corners.

Silver just follows cautiously behind Phaedra.

" I hope the others are getting along well with Mums old artist friend.",  Selinae remarked to Kestrell as they wandered back towards the windmill.
