The manes disappears into a puff of oily smoke, leaving only M6.
A celebratory cheer erupts from the wall and even from other directions in the city where fighting must have broken out. Looking down each street, the party sees no more fiends approaching and, indeed, some of the less mindless of them seem to be retreating. The final manes is not one of those, however, and it claws at Feytok in an effort to fulfill its directives.
Claw Attack: 22 Damage: 12
Feytok returns the favor by slashing at the fiend twice.
Attack: 20 Damage: 15
Attack: 14 Damage: 5
The final manes is sent to join the others, leaving the street clear of any fiends.
Dog, realizing he has only a bit of time left as a giant looks to the gate to see if he can try to pick up the busted doors and reset them in the gate. If he can see any pathway to do that, he dashes to the gate to do that. As he does so, he calls out, "Gash, Keyrie, we should make sure the carriage, Nev, and Genny are okay. I think I saw Tock dart away to it but who knows if he got to it."
If the gate seems totally fine or there doesn't seem like anything even a giant Dog could do, he'll simply jet off to the carriage himself, looking for their horses.
Dog finds the gate has been ripped from its hinges. The structural integrity of the large wooden doors is also suspect. He clumsily turns the doors on their side and leans them against the entrance to the city, providing at least a crude barricade against the forces of the hells. As he shrinks back below the height of the doors, he sees no fiends facing the city. All movement is running away.
KeyrieandFeytokare waiting for Dog at the carriage. It is undamaged and the horses have calmed considerably, patiently waiting for a driver to command them forward. Gash is on top of the carriage shaking that driverawake from a deep, magical slumber. Tock wakes up confused but unharmed. The doors to the carriage are flung open and the vehicle is completely empty.

Dog, seeing the carriage empty, panics and then growls, "help me look for them!"
He investigates everything he sees about the carriage, what's changed, if there's anything left behind, any footprints, a lingering odor, anyone rushing away or hiding, any remnant of a spell.
Investigation (rolling with advantage in case someone helps him, but if not then just take the first roll): 18
Arcana check to see if Dog can tell what happened to Tock: 12
(OOC: do we know enough about the unicorn totem to go back to the area of effect and try to detect creatures, meaning Nev and Genny, from there? I'm guessing Dog didn't get the finer details of the effect while attacking fiends.)
Dog can tell that magic was used in putting Tock to sleep. He also knows that whatever spell was powerful enough to do so would surely have put Gentoa and Neventi to sleep as well due to their proximity to Tock.
His panic at their disappearance clouds his ability to look for any worthy clues, however.
Dog finds what look like hoof prints that are both recent and not easily explained by the location. They follow the south wall to the south gate, which is in considerably better shape. The gates here are open, slightly, and the hoof prints lead through the opening. The two guards are asleep at the gates as well as the two stationed up on the wall. The Long Road continues outside of the gates, past a shanty town that is surprisingly untouched by the violence that fell upon the city. Looking into the distance, though, Dog does not see any sign of fiend, demon, or devil. Nor any other villain. He returns to report his findings to the rest of the party still by the carriage.
"That damn vrock killed Friend and I don't have the materials to bring him back right now. As much as I'd like to chase after them tonight, the crowd we just fought off was a lot. I don't think I have another fight in me. As much as I hate to say it, it might be most effective to try and sleep tonight and chase tomorrow, Dog you have a trail we can pick it up tomorrow and maybe this town has the supplies I need for Friend to come back."

(yes 8 hp to everyone, the totem only lasts a minute, so not sure how far the carriage went and if I could move the totem with us all the way over there before it ends. Myon has advantage on widsom checks that rely on smell, would that mean he would have advantage to track whatever took them?)
"I'm just afraid that if we wait the kidnappers will get even further away. Maybe we could pick up some supplies quickly and follow after them with people taking turns resting in the carriage, so we can still follow them while getting some rest."
"Stay if you must - we have to find them before they disappear further."
Dog looks for one of the cushions Nev or Gen had been sitting on in the carriage, or pulls out their bags assuming they are still in the carriage, or takes one of their bedrolls from the bag of holding, or failing that, one of the toys/puppy puppets/ribbons he's used to play with Genny for the last several weeks. He gives it to Myon and says, "find our girls, Nev and Genny, the mother and cub."
Tock's mind has cleared up enough for him to think along. He will activate the Gem of Seeing and take a thorough look through the carriage, the area and then follow the group if they pick up a scent or anything like that.

Keyrie will cast cure wounds once on herself and once on Myon then follow after the carriage motioning Myon to follow as well.
Cure wounds on Keyrie 4
Cure wounds on Myon 4
(If anyone was in the unicorn aura when I cast the spell they get 4hp back)
Is that 4 HP for each cure wounds you cast? If so, then 8 points to everyone except Tock.

Keyrie would know about the totem.

Gash in addition to yelling out their names begins to cast message every which way to try and get their attention.

(Perception and Survival both use WIS, so yes, if Myon can be given the correct scent, then he could make those checks with advantage.)

Myon paws at Dog's arm, looking at Keyrie with a cocked head.
“I am with you. Just a suggestion was all.”

Tock's mind has cleared up enough for him to think along. He will activate the Gem of Seeing and take a thorough look through the carriage, the area and then follow the group if they pick up a scent or anything like that.
(Oo, good idea! Unfortunately...)
The Gem of Seeing provides no clues about invisible, ethereal, illusory, or shapeshifted threats or clues.
