"It's about...115 miles to Colizargus, if you're heading west."
To Gash, the Alchemist says, "Oh, there's lots of trade secrets around the use of these parts. With the fundamentum from a green dragon, you can be assured that they are generally nasty uses. I will be reselling it, personally, as I do not dabble in such exotic alchemy."
How much of that is for dragon scales, Dog wants to know, and are there enough there for one suit of armor? Would armor be the most valuable use of them or are there other uses?
At the armorer, Dog discovers he does have enough to construct one set of dragon scale mail. The labor and enchantment costs are steep, however. His scales are valued at 380 gp, which will bring down the cost, but working with dragon scales is not easy, or cheap apparently.
"I would sorely love to work with dragon scales," says the armorer, "but I would need to cancel or delay my outstanding jobs for at least 2 ten-days. Then I would need to hire a dedicated team to help design, prepare, and assist in the construction of the armor. I would also need a more experienced enchanter and some new specialized equipment just for this job."
The armorer wipes his sooty brow and looks over to his wife, who has been calculating the costs in her head while he spoke. "At least 30,000 gold," she says at last.
"Oh, Betrie," says the armorer, "That can't be right."
"Don't you question me, Haymie," she says in a stern tone. "This is a more complicated job than that custom plate mail you made for Lord Corlus."
The armorer nods. "30,000 gold," he says.
"Probably more, once I tally up all the actual costs. 30,000 would be generous indeed," says the armorer's wife.
"I'll happily buy the scales off of ye," says the armorer.
"Haymie!" says his wife with a scowl. He gives her an impish grin and shrugs.

At the alchemist, Gash gets 1350 for the fundamentum and Tock receives 120 gold for the eyes and tongue.
Dog is fine selling the claws and the teeth and the horns to either the alchemist or the armorer - whoever offered more. The scales though - he's keeping those.
"I have no doubt you'd craft a fine set of armor, Haymie, and Betrie! I wish that I could return here to see it done, and maybe I will. But we are headed onward, way behind schedule, and so I couldn't wait two tendays, and I don't think I could quite afford the suit right now if you did craft it. So I'd like to take them with me and see what he road brings us. I'd be happy if it brought me back here, and we could have a proper conversation about scale mail with your enchanters and your team. But unfortunately I'll have to say thank you, but no thank you."
He pauses, fully aware he's fruitlessly asked this of nearly everyone he's met since leaving Taur, but willing to give it another go if it means potentially speeding things up on the mission to bring Genny back to Nev.
"Oh and by the way, you don't happen to have something in the shop - even a piece of parchment - you know for certain came from Masa? We're headed there and we are behind schedule. We might be able to teleport there if we had something that definitely came from the city to help our wizard home in on the destination. Strange request I know, but these are strange times, what with demons and angels about. We'd also appreciate any kind of information you have on the state of the road and the towns between here and Masa."
While Dog is on his mission of Masa. Gash pokes around outside the armorers stall. He takes his stagger and tries to cut or shave a piece of wood off the shop so Dog could return if they ever get so rich.

Gash- Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
Haymie looks to his wife, who shrugs. "I...get shipments of steel that come through the Masa port, but I don't think that is what you mean. No, I can't think of anything off the top of my head."
The weaponsmith down the road is happy to purchase the teeth, claws and horns for 670 gold. "I can't use them as decorations if nothing else, but I plan to try and fashion some ornamental blades!" He seems genuinely excited.
It is an hour until supper when the group reconvenes and departs southwest on the Long Road. The group manages to travel for a few miles before bedding down for the night. Gentoa is tired and complaining about missing her mother on this night. She falls asleep after crying inconsolably for an hour, each member of the party passing her off to the next until Bulwark manages to somehow lull her to sleep. The next morning, she awakens bright and happy as her usual self, playing quietly with her goat figurines until breakfast and then a crude variant of hide and seek in which she sticks her head behind things to hide, leaving her bum waggling in the open while Stones pretends he cannot possibly find her.
This day on the road is uneventful and the party makes relatively good time, except for a brief stop when Gentoa begins to throw supplies out of the carriage out of boredom. Another tantrum after supper promises to repeat the previous night, but thankfully she settles down when Stones sings a few tunes for her and she falls asleep without any more trouble.
She awakens again in good spirits and the party strikes out for another long stretch on the road. It is a little more slow going on this day due to the wetlands and intense cold making the road difficult to travel on during the morning. A couple of hours before supper, Gentoa asks for the carriage to stop so she can go answer nature's call. It is the third time in the last hour she has done so and most everyone don't believe she is doing anything other than stalling to avoid more time in the bouncing carriage. Dog is considering carrying her for a while when some figures step out into the open. Then more do so. And more. In total, a dozen bugbears step into the open. They seem to have no apparent leader, but a couple of them shake their weapons at the party, saying in goblin (translated by Gash), "Give us your valuables. Give us your food. Give us your horses."
Stones immediately steps forward while juggling his daggers creating a hypnotic pattern. ”Friends, friends. Take it easy. No need for harsh feelings this day. Let’s all just relax and enjoy the peaceful breeze” and casts Hypnotic Pattern centering the cube so that it affects yellow bugbears 1, 2, and 4.
