(He didn't find the sad amulets? If he did he'd have tried to grab them unless it would have been way too obvious.)
Once his friends have rejoined him, he pulls them aside and says, covering his mouth, "found this card, which could be a clue of where to go next. Let's head to the temple, confirm the kiddo's okay, and ask about the inn and its proprietor. If they don't know, they'd know someone who would. Then it'd be good to scope out the place to see what it's like."
He looks at his friends. "Whose house was that, by the way? The devils'? They were rich if so. Shall we get moving?"
When they are farther away from the scene of the crime, he'll congratulate Tock on his aim. "I didn't like that guy, but I was worried he was our only way to find Nev."
Assuming they get back to the temple quickly (though he will look around to see if they're being followed and wouldn't say no to a slightly indirect route) he'll ask Gyllis and Muna if Genny is okay, if they've seen anyone sniffing around, and allude to a confrontation with the fiends. He'll ask them if they know about The Wheat and Mane or Fouseli Tind, and if not, if someone else might. He's ready to go check out the inn, perhaps after Tock stakes it out first to see if anything interesting is happening there...
Assuming everyone headed back to the house to head out together after looting, Tock will close the gate and attempt to lock it again from the outside (thieve's tools: 25)
Tock locks the gate and they leave the den of the representatives of the hells behind them, walking back down Helm Street to the twin temples of Helm and Tymora. They have only been gone for about 45 minutes, but when they get to the temple, they find Gentoa has fallen asleep with one of the sisters watching over her as she reads quietly in the corner.
When asked about The Wheat and Mane, neither Mother Gyllis nor any of the sisters know of it, although they recognize the location in the Market District. "Baker Street is an expensive area of the market district. We station a sister at the end of Baker Street where it opens into Market Triangle during the week of the King's Feast holiday for donations. There are deep pockets in that part of Masa."
Dog thanks Mother Gyllis and is immensely relieved they were not hoodwinked into a scheme where Genny was put at risk while they dealt with the hells. He's ready to go check out the Inn, perhaps after a brief respite to recover and recharge (he will use second wind if so for 16 hp).
After an hour (take a short rest if you need), the party departs from the temple and winds their way across Masa, stopping twice to ask for directions, but ultimately ending up in the Market District at one end of Baker Street. As Mother Gyllis said, it is a clearly wealthy part of town. The shops here are extremely high end and the servants and pedestrians bustling through the avenues are dressed extremely well. The adventurers stand out here for more than their odd collection of sizes and builds. Even so, nobody pays them any mind as they pass by.
The Wheat and Mane is a very fancy looking inn. It sits next to a clothing shop on one side and an enchanter's shop on the other. It neither looks suspicious nor do the people that come and go look like agents of the Hells. Chancing a look inside, the group is greeted warmly by a young elf woman at the door.
"Welcome to the Wheat and Mane," she says. "How may I help you?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Hello, erm, my compatriots and I learned that a minotaur who frequented this establishment had to leave unexpectedly, and a friend of ours may have been staying here." Dog says, with as fine of diction he can manage from what his father tried to teach him. It probably doesn't match the setting, but he's trying. He gives a brief description of Neventi. "I wonder if you could guide us to her room or let her know we are here. Tell her that her lost dog and his friends have turned up, and the tiny light of her life would love a reunion."
Does Dog see any depiction of a lion in the signage or decoration around the inn, signifying that the name refers to a lion's mane? And does he see anything untoward around or in the inn, or about the elf woman?
"Of course," says the young half-elf woman with a genuine smile. "Miss Drahm is out riding one of our horses this afternoon."
The theme of the inn clicks into place. The decorations are not garish, but they do seem to connect to horse-riding in many ways. The golden wheat motif, for example, blends subtly into the shape of wild horse manes blowing in the wind, or perhaps through the breeze brought on by a galloping steed.
The young woman, who introduces herself as Balilea, leads the party through the library into a dining area, both of which are quietly occupied by guests, and out onto a veranda overlooking a small pasture that is surrounded on all sides by shops, eateries, and inns. Neventi trots around the well-manicured pasture in full riding gear on a chestnut filly. She does not notice the group watching her from the veranda for some time. Perhaps 20 minutes passes before she begins to head back to the inn and then she sees the party standing patiently in wait for her.
Rather than speed up her horse, she dismounts and runs the rest of the way, abandoning the filly to wander the pasture. She embraces each of Dog, Tock, Gash, and Keyrie in turn and politely introduces herself to Stones and Bulwark. "And where is Feytok?" she asks. "And Gentoa? Where did you stable the horses? I am so glad you made it. When did you arrive in Masa? Have you eaten supper yet?"
"Genny is at a temple we found trustworthy," Dog says, trying to guide the conversation to a place where no one can listen in. "Nev, we lost Feytok in that terrible labyrinth. Taur was brutal. I can't believe Jaleinni stole you two away and caused so much pain and trouble. We had to take the long way down the long road to get to you, and nearly lost more of us. It was very dangerous but we kept Genny safe. The minotaur, when we got here, said there was an agreement. Can you tell us exactly what the agreement is? We can speak elsewhere. Who have you been staying with here, and is there where they've been negotiating? I'd like to hear from you what the agreement is before I say anything more about what the minotaur told us, and before I tell you more about what's happened to us in Masa."
Gash with a tear in his eye at the mention of FeyTok and having to break the news to Nev introduces their new comrades. “This is Stones and Bulwark. We found them in the labyrinth Dog spoke of. They helped us get out. FeyTok gave his life for ours. And maybe before we talk about deals or anything we reunite you with the little one. I think we could also use a bit of reprieve.”

"Oh, Dog," Neventi says. "How I have missed you and all your questions. I am sorry you had such a difficult time getting here. I will miss Feytok dearly."
The area is secluded and you have been left alone by the staff at this point. "This inn is merely the neutral location I was put up, alone, during the accords," she says, running her hand along the smooth wooden handrail. "The talks were conducted at a manor rented for the purpose in the Guild District. The agreement is very long and much of it does not pertain to me. There is a lot of language about ceasing hostilities and freeing captives from there Hells. For my part...well, I have agreed to the Warlock Aucasia for Gentoa's protector. Speaking of which...can we go see her?"
It does not take long before the group arrives at the Temple of Tymora. Neventi rushes over to her sleeping daughter and scoops her up in her arms. The girl stirs but does not wake for the happy reunion. After many trials, the young aasimar is back with her mother.
The minotaur's amulets have Enchantment magic. Up close, you can see a cleverly masked necromancy spell on them as well. Examining what lay draped around Neventi's neck more closely shows a similarly masked necromancy magic.

Before leaving the scene Gash also picks up the amulets the Minotaur threw on the ground for us to wear.

(If I can ritual cast while walking Nev to the temple I will but I don’t think I can so I’ll use a slot if I must)
Gash falls behind a little and starts casting detect magic specifically looking for any sign of magic on Nev and would otherwise scan as they walk.

(Yes is Nev wearing an amulet or anything new that we can see?)
Gash:
Neventi is wearing an amulet or necklace under her clothing. It emits a magical aura you can see that is clearly of the Enchantment school.
It does not take long before the group arrives at the Temple of Tymora. Neventi rushes over to her sleeping daughter and scoops her up in her arms. The girl stirs but does not wake for the happy reunion. After many trials, the young aasimar is back with her mother.
End, of chapter 6.
