The temple of Milil is not the tallest or built with the finest of materials, but it is possibly one of the most beautiful buildings any of them have ever seen. The architecture is simple but striking, fluid but clean. Where it lacks columns and gold inlay, it emphasizes light and color. Pedestals with scrolls of famous poets line the walls and a harpist plays a gentle tune near the entrance to the temple. The burble of a trickling waterfall provides further ambiance, as do the tittering, cage-less birds sitting in the short trees. Streams of sunlight pierce the temple, highlighting statues, scripture on the walls, and a bas relief depicting the ascent of Milil.
One of the priests approaches the party, placing her hands together in a gesture of welcome. Upon hearing their tale, during which her smile never wavers, she nods and says, "I had heard of some strife to the east. We have had no word of the details reach us. What is it you require from the temple today?"
“Thank you - we may need a place of refuge for ourselves, the family in question, and our horses for a day or two. We would also like to know where the mage king is and when he might be expected back. Who would be able to tell us these things?” Dog isn’t even mistrustful of these people who have been so helpful and kind, which is still an adjustment from the last few months.

The priestess looks a little perplexed. "Well," she says. "The temple can provide little of those things. We may be able to take in the homeless, which it sounds like the mother and child qualify as, but we are not a stable nor do we keep track of the king's whereabouts. "I have heard he is away from the capital but you would need to ask at the palace as to where he and the queen have gone. There are plenty of stables in Alciondria for your other need..."
By all appearances, the priestess has no ill intent but seems a little flustered by the peculiar requests. She seems the sort that thrives on routine and this definitely is shaking her routine. She is trying to take it all in stride, which Tock guesses is not her strong suit.
Dog exchanges whatever pleasantries he can with the priestess, awkwardly trying to make a friend. Lots of nodding and head ducking. Then he makes his farewells and turns to the group.
”Let’s see where we could find a decent inn nearby, and get a room to serve as an anchor for bringing the lasses in. The horses will be more of an issue, so maybe we need a courtyard. Actually this temple courtyard could work. Then once we have them over, we can settle in and find out where the king is. I guess we just knock on the castle door and ask?”

“Do we know how priests of Milil will react to seeing his uh... ‘concubine and offspring?’ I’m just saying: people are crazy. You never know what they’ll do next.” Martin looks at the priests suspiciously.
Like Tock, Martin sees good intentions but discomfort with the breaking of routine. They do, in fact, take in homeless people, and the priestess appears to be falling back on those services as means to deal with the unusual nature of the situation. In fact, she doesn't seem to really believe the divine nature of Gentoa and is treating the situation like another wayward mother and child.
"So, teleportation outside here, or closer to an inn?" Dog's ready to get things moving, and if up to him, he'll look for a decent mid-range inn nearby that's not a hovel, and ask for stables and a couple rooms. Then he'll help Gash prepare to teleport Nev and Genny and the horses in, however long it takes to do it safely.
I’m bad at this - a gold per room per night, including stabling? Dog is happy to bunk with someone else and split costs. He also has a feeling they won’t be staying long - either they are going to be chasing the king somewhere else or the king might also invite them to stay in a royal-owned establishment. But having a home base is a good thing.
He asks Althus if his order might have some information about the King’s current whereabouts, or perhaps Tock’s knowledge of city underbellies might serve them well. Given all the shenanigans the Hells have pulled, he would not be surprised if the king was occupied or distracted or being pulled away for infernal reasons.
"I would feel better being able to be close to Nev and Genny if we need to. I'll ask them about their teleporting rules in the temple. Either way maybe I grab something from both places... We might be here a while if they king is away. I think we should spend the money on a nice place. Maybe we could rent a house? That way we could all be under one roof?"

Here is the usual Meals and Lodging per day costs. Expect Alciondria to be a little more expensive usually, but being winter it is probably close to what is found in the tables.
“Perhaps once the girls are here, they can make up their own mind about where to stay. Here or at an inn, won’t matter to me. Once the priests see for themselves who they are, we should ask if they are even capable of protecting her. Might be the Accords prevent it.”
"Well lets not waste the time. Let's bring them here." Gash bends down collects some dirt from the ground as they walk. "Stand back." Gash teleports back to pick up Nev, Genny, and the horses

"Don't you think they would know everything? I mean this has been a big deal, right? You would think at least here... they would know?"

Dog is fine with this...
"Excellent," the priestess says. "When the mother and her child are ready, bring them here. Good luck with your other efforts."
Tock would like to roll an Insight check for offer.. he doesn't really want to leave Nev and Genny alone somewhere new. Check: 12
