Gash suggests to everyone not named Dog and Tock, "Maybe we should pick up some winter clothes. Its starting to get cold. And if we're going to be traveling we may need to stay warm. At nights we'll have my hut but aside from that we dont want the frost to get us."

Tock says, "Lets back out of here, I have one more trick up my sleeve."
Assuming Dog agrees, they will both exit and from outside the door Tock will use Invoke Duplicity and walk around the whole room with his duplicate, also in front of the construct.
Tock himself will try to stay as quiet as possible, but the illusion will just wander around willy-nilly as if not noticing the construct at all. The idea is to see if and what and how would react to a seemingly random person just walking in. Tock can't use the senses of the illusion or anything clever like that.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tock and Dog:
Not-Tock heads in a loop around the shop. As soon as the illusion appears and begins moving around, the two suits of armor and the giant construct in the middle of the room come to life. They turn and face the Not-Tock. The construct whirls around, huffing with hot air, and strikes at the illusion with a spinning flail that emerged from somewhere. Lightning crackles off of the weapon as it lashes out at the Not-Tock.
But after the weapon passes through illusion, all three constructs stop and look around: 17, 16, 15 vs. 26 and 17
The constructs see no sign of a real foe and swipe at the illusion again. Once it disappears a minute later, the constructs wander around the shop for 5 more minutes, then settle back into their places. The animated armor returns to its original position. The hellish looking machine returns to the center of the shop, facing (2) south, the direction of the entrance to the shop.
Dog watches the reaction with amazement. He ducks completely out of view of the doorway and motions Tock close. "Good idea, there. Should we get the others and return to take these constructs down so no one looking for some basic stonework stumbles into a massacre? I bet Gregory would have some fun spells to set the table. And Althus and Martin both seem bored. The other option is to go to the other address and take a look there. I'm guessing it's not a friendly place, if this is what happened to the heavenly option."
Tocknods, "Yeah, we got some new info, lets go and speak with others. Neventi probably has had time to get familiar with the headband as well, she might have some clever ideas."
Dog sighs as he sits down for dinner. He tries to get everyone to a place where they cannot be overheard. "So we went to the address in the flowy font, 'the sanctuary of the aasimar' which turned out to be a masonry shop. In the yard outside, Tock discovered an earth genasi body hidden under a stone. Inside, there were two suits of armor and a large fiery metal construct that looks like it had some infernal manufacturing. We managed, thanks to Tock, not to attract its attention, although Tock sent his duplicate in, and the suits of armor and the construct did their best to destroy the duplicate. They then reset. We didn't engage, not because we don't want to take out these things -- think about what this would do to the construction sector of this town! -- but because we wanted to bring you all in on eliminating this threat since it's been such a boring day."
Dog smiles ruefully. "Also, we wanted to decide if we should first try scoping out the other address, for 'guests of Aucasia.' It's probably not safe to waltz right in if they know Nev doesn't have the amulet on anymore, but we could at least take a look, perhaps with Friend, Gregory."
He looks at Althus, Martin, and especially Bulwark. "Do we want to go put down these suits of armor and the construct that appear ready to attack anyone who walks in, and who may have played a role in killing someone already? Should we alert the authorities and tell them we are doing this? Also, can anyone speak with the dead? It would be a good thing to hear what that Earth Genasi has to say."
"Do what now? Explain." Martin is confused, as he has been at the inn all day. "No wait... explain in as few words as possible. I will quite literally black out if you give another one of your famously long monologues."
At supper Gash reveals his efforts shopping with winter clothes for everyone. (How much MD? I'm thinking like heavy fur lined coats and stuff like that to stave off winter's bite)
As Dog mention's Friend scouting, he gives a quick nod to Friend, who was sitting at the table, and he flies off to go check it out.
Gash chuckles at Martin's response. "Fiery bad men, go kill? or tell authorities?"

"Alright, alright, calm down Doggear, you know how long winded you can be. We were lucky to have such patient protectors before..." Gash lays down the amulet on the table. "I think you should identify this Dog. Do you mind? Good practice."

Dog will let out a large, held breath, turn away from Martin, and begin to ritually cast identify on the amulet. As he starts, he looks around at his companions and gives a look of "don't want me talking, okay then you handle it," and silently goes back to the amulet. There's a large vein visible on his temple and his massive right shoulder has begun to twitch.
“Now don’t be mad. If we could weaponize it, I’d be all for it, but so far... No such luck. Anywho, yes, I’m always in favor of bringing down wicked folks that need bringing down. Is there a reason why we wouldn’t also inform the guards?” Martin is up and stretching side to side.
"Did you identify what kind of construct it was?" Neventi says. "I don't know anything about what the Heavens would do here. I wouldn't put it past the Hells to have laid a trap, though, if a bit clumsy of one."
Bulwark's gaze fixed on Martin after Dog's reaction and hasn't left, though he addresses the group. "Advisement: If this threat is an active impediment to our goals, and can be safely dealt with and removed, it would be prudent to do so. If not, there is little need for us to risk injury or worse doing so."
Althus shakes his head, "I have heard of priests who could speak with the dead, but I am not one of them, unfortunately."
At Martin's comment, he gives a slight chuckle, "Peace, we should neither be fighting with nor monologuing at each other. I do think informing the guards would be a good decision, but we may be the group best equipped to deal with this sort of thing. I wouldn't want to jump to the wrong conclusion, so I think we should go see the guards first and then take care of it if it turns out to be what it seems to be."

Dog narrows his eyes at Martin and starts growling. His headband falls a bit down the side of his head.

Tock says, "We just might. There was a sign with the address and that's how we discovered it."
He turns to Neventi, "Nev, what do you make of this? Does it make sense for you? Is there a pattern we are not seeing?"
"Did you identify what kind of construct it was?" Neventi says. "I don't know anything about what the Heavens would do here. I wouldn't put it past the Hells to have laid a trap, though, if a bit clumsy of one."
