“I like it. Bring them on out, I’m ready when you are.”
Martin reaches into a pocket and pulls out what looks like several thorns. He then holds them up near his face, mutters a few Druidic words and blows them out of his hand. Along one side of the building appears a long, wide row of spikes.
Meanwhile Tock is filling in some of the details of what they experienced while they were away from Neventi. He will mimic the voices and sounds and be as truthful as his memory serves. "I'm telling you all of this so you know everything we know and can make the best decision for Gentoa and yourself."
"I also have this doll for a while now, but I haven't found a good use for it. I think it's best you have it. It has some magic, but you'll figure it out."
And he his talking doll to Neventi.
(If there is time left over for a short rest then he'd like to attune to the Cloak of Elvenkind)
The pair walk up a dozen or so steps to a stoop that sits in front of a heavy, dark oak door. A large brass knocker invites Althus to rap it. The knocker sits a bit high on the door and Gash would strain to use it. Before Althus can touch the knocker, however, the door swings open. A very pale woman in a form-fitting black dress with raven-black hair and piercing brown eyes stands casually in the entryway. "Come in, protectors," she says with a nonchalance that is unnerving. "We have been expecting you."
The woman makes no threatening movements but her invitation almost sounded like an order. She steps back from the entryway and provides room for Althus and Gash to enter the manor.
EDITED: Dog nods, impressed, at the spikes, and then scoops upward with his hand, 30 feet diagonally to the side of the door of the shop. A pile of dirt gets excavated from the 5-foot section directly in front of the door, and moved to the side (mold earth. He then says, "hmm, now thinking about it, that construct won't be able to get out the door. Maybe we can get the suits of armor to come out."
Dog will peer into the door from the side -- can he get a longbow shot at one of the suits of armor to either side of the door, and attempt to get it to come outside?
Longbow Attack on suit of armor: 22 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
Part-way through Dog’s explanation, he starts to count down on his fingers and gets to 2 when he finishes. Martin breathes an exaggerated sigh of relief and wipes some imaginary sweat from his forehead.
(FYI, the construct is a giant, wheeled monstrosity and obviously won't fit through the door. It banged into the wall chasing the city watch but did not come outside for them at all...)
(Ah, whoops - didn't realize that it was so large it can't fit outside! I can revise my last post, because Dog wouldn't have proposed this plan had I realized that...)
Edited my above post to attempt to get the suits of armor to come out. "Walking in there seems like a recipe for an acid-blasted killbox. Plus, don't want to destroy the place." If the ruse with getting the suit of armor to come outside into the trap doesn't work, Dog will say, "Want to go in? Or go check with the city watch about the bounty? Looks like they aren't going anywhere and we can just put up a sign to warn people away."
"We've got a habit of getting booted out of town for what seem at the time like small rule violations, so I'm trying to avoid that. Let's leave a warning and follow the guards back to the headquarters, check in on Tock and Nev and the others, and then come back as a group to put these things down for good."
He draws in the dirt outside in the yard, "DANGEROUS INSIDE: DO NOT ENTER" and walks back to the city watch headquarters. He's disappointed, but is really trying not to just solve problems through hitting things with his hammer...
Garielle maintains her smile as she looks to Althus. Gash enters the foyer, resplendent with paintings of unknown people, all sitting grimly on one sort of expensive looking chair or another. Two doors exit the foyer, aside from the entrance, but it is difficult to tell where they lead. The house is very cold, although warm candles flicker everywhere lighting the foyer, though little beyond it. There appear to be no oil lamps anywhere, at least near the entrance.
"Lovely place. So, you wish to welcome the mother and child here? It's a bit cold. They might be a bit uncomfortable. We don't want to impose too long, however, Miss Drahm wishes to keep a steady pace." Gash blinks and leaves his eyes shut for a couple seconds to check through the eyes of Friend outside then opens them, "Do you have any offerings you wish for us to present to her before we bring her here?"

“Put your hole right by that, if you don’t mind.”
Martin readies his bow again.

"I can't attune to anything else without losing focus on what I have," Neventi says. "Gentoa can certainly play with it, though "
Tock settles in to figure out his cloak.
DM and Althus:
Gash relays what he sees to Althus. "Friend keep circling."
"Rich neighborhood. Let's go see whats going on in here." Gash says as he picks up a handful of dirt and shoves it in his pocket.
