And he wants it to end. And he has healing potions or Althus, or at least will be able to stabilize him. So he casts shatter right inside the coffin. He's going to take some damage, and he's ready to stabilize the paladin, but he's hoping the spell will obliterate the mist and end this once and for all.
The coffin explodes into shards of wood before Garielle can reform in it. The mist instead hovers in the room, moving about randomly as if searching for the destroyed coffin. Althus falls to the ground unconscious (stabilize or make death save rolls.)

Dog immediately jumps on Althus, trying to stabilize him (medicine: 19, or helping someone else more skilled). Once he's satisfied the paladin's going to recover, he whirls on the mist. "Piss off, ghost!"he shouts, and takes a running kick at it. He catches his breath and then looks around the room for anything of note. He approaches Martin and does the full-on forearm grasp. "Thanks for sticking that out. Got very ugly. You have my apologies for, well, being a jerk. Won't happen again."
He then proceeds to turn over every square inch of the house, its contents, its bodies, holding his nose and looking for anything of value. He wants to find something positive in this mess. He tries to see if there has been anything that has distrubed the alarm spell he set on Nev and Genny's room. When Tock arrives, he peppers him with questions about what happened, and where Gash is.
Gash wakes up in an alley with 1 HP. He doesn't remember how he got there and his leg has been thoroughly bandaged. An empty bottle smelling of wine rests in his lap. He is still under the sway of Garielle for almost 2 more hours. After which, she will be destroyed and he will be free.
With Althus stable, the party searches the house. They find a locked chest here in the coffin chamber of the vampire.
Upstairs they find: 25 antique books (750 gp total), Electrum Cloth Robe (750 gp), Platinum Cloth Cloak (750 gp), 35 expensive dresses (750 gp total), Copper Amphora (750 gp), Fine Steel Plate Armor (750 gp), Platinum Flask inlaid with Electrum (750 gp), Sable Belt (750 gp)
(The two new rooms appear to be an armory and a shrine room that hasn't been used for some time.)
Downstairs they find: 2 x Potion of Healing (common, dmg 187), Spell Scroll (Darkvision) (uncommon, dmg 200), Goggles of Night (uncommon, dmg 172) and a locked chest.
(New rooms include an office, a dining room, two storage rooms, and 4 bedrooms for thralls or recruits of Garielle.)
They also find letters corresponding with a "Servant of Baphomet" dated more than a month ago to prepare to intercept Gentoa and/or her mother and kill her protectors. She was strictly told to formulate her own plans and to cease any and all communication upon receiving the instructions until the child was successfully delivered to the warlock Aucasia.
The basement holds a third locked chest.

If not, we may want to say that Garielle told us to strip down the place and go find her on the other side of town, that this place got infested by a monster and we have to get her valuables out, open all the windows, and find her in her safe house."
When he ostensibly hears about Gash, he gets directions and goes to find him to make sure he's safe, planning to pick him up and bring him back to rest, telling him the same thing he suggested about Althus.
OOC: I'm operating as if Dog wouldn't know what happens to the charmed with the vampire a mist, but if he knows, he'll be a lot more intentional about the subterfuge. Right now, it's just his mind running through options.

Working his way from the top floor to the bottom, Tock determines there is no trap on the chest in Garielle's room. While the vampire swirls around the room aimlessly in her mist form, he opens the chest, finding it not even locked. Inside is a Potion of Growth and 5000 gold.
On the main floor, back in the storage room, he determines that the chest is probably not trapped. He deftly unlocks the locked chest and is sprayed in his face with poison for his efforts.
CON(16) check or suffer 18 damage, half on a success: 10
Inside he finds 5000 gold and 2 Potions of Greater Healing.
In the basement, he determines no trap here either. He is not able to unlock the chest but he does trigger a trap that releases a powerful blinding light.
After getting blinded he will sit down at the chest in the basement and yell out a couple of times through thaumaturgy, "I'm down here. I'm OK, but blind. Taking a short rest." He tries to use his Gem of Seeing, but realizes he needs to look through it, but still can't see.
He assumes Dog is handling Gash and Martin and/or Bulwark are guarding Althus and the vampire.
If nobody shows up immediately then he'll nod off and start a short rest. If he hears steps coming then he'll thaumaturgy his eyes black.

Guessing with that, Dog would know the effect lingers, so he'd keep a close eye on Althus and once he found out where Gash was, he'd go retrieve him to keep him safe. If necessary, he'd try to knock them out again to keep them safe, with about 17 apologies.
