(OOC: (I made a mistake in that Josh should not have been given advantage for the attack against the prone rebrand (1) (because he was more than five feet away) and in fact it should have been disadvantage. My mistake and to pay for my sins I'll just keep the rebrand dead. Now we know the rule.) )
"It ends for me today……..and it ends for you today as well elf." a severely wounded rebrand (4) says, blood spitting out of his mouth. Having seen his remaining thugs successfully launch attacks, he attacks, hoping to continue to the trend.
(Attack 1: 13 - If Hit: 6 - Attack 2: 5 - If Hit: 4 )
Solaris falls down, uncoscience, next to the dead bandit who started it all.
Rastin know he must save Solaris who is again in the thick of things, but it appears his luck may have run out. He quickly darts toward Solaris (move to N6) and grabs the elf to steady him while also using his blessed healing touch to close the gaping wounds and staunch the bleeding (Lay of Hands +10 HP).
(Bonus action) As Rastin feels Solaris’ strength returning he is acutely aware that he will be unable to help any of his other companions again should they be injured. Thus, he knows this fight must end soon and for it to end in their favor he must leave nothing in reserve. Using the last of his blessed psychic energy he utters the powerful chant that imbues his weapon with holy wrath (cast Wrathful Smite).
Women, children, and even the men were fleeing the street, screaming as the adventurers and bandits engaged in a bloody battle. But for a moment, they stopped. The women stopped. The children stopped. The men stopped. They stopped to see a Paladin in the middle of a heated and contested battle kneel down and heal a fellow companion in arms. Risking his life to heal the fallen. Years from now, one of the witnesses will write about it one day.
(Solaris stable at 10 HP).
Solaris gasps for breath, and miraculously begins to come to his sense.
The towns people flee again, just before Rastin lit up his weapon with a magical aura and faced the enemy once again.

Dazed from a near fatal blow, Solaris' wild quarterstaff swing hits an uninjured Rebrand Thug (3), striking him hard in the head, cracking his skull. The rebrand falls, dead. Solaris then moves, as an aura protects him from enemy attacks.
“And on the 2nd day god said let there be the elements” and he casts chromatic orb (cold damage) as he grips his diamond and waves his hand in the religious symbol for creation. He targets Rebrand 2 he shouts to Rastin “grab that injured Rebrand we will get him to tell us where there hideout is”. Attack 21 Damage: 19
The intended target of Adolmain's spell swings his sword, but before it can come down he slows down unnaturally. His brown eyes turn blue, and his face begins to take the hue of snow on the ground on a chill night. He looks on at Adolmain, with a pathetic death mask of pain before he falls down, frozen, stiff, and as dead, as a corpse.
The smallest of the thugs, who bravely charged at the companions to start the battle, looks around, as the last man standing, thoroughly and completely stunned.
For a brief moment, the last standing Rebrand thought he had a chance. He saw Adolmain plead to a comrade to spare the bandit's life, as the bandit could be interrogated. For a split second, the Rebrand relaxed, right before Autzen's arrow pierced his heart. He falls awkwardly, as the arrow manages to keep him at an angle on the ground, the tip embedded in the ground with a dead thug impaled on it.
(OOC: Last Rebrand dead. Combat over. If you use an ability check to search the bodies or something else which can be done by a group, so state in your post and one of you can roll with advantage. Each of you receive 100 EXP. Feel free to take any actions or checks)

Solaris checks the bodies, looking for anything of interest. While doing so, he finds a variety of coins. Specifically, 10 silver pieces, 18 copper pieces, 10 gold pieces and 12 electrum pieces. Having spent years noticing what others don't notice, Solaris doesn't find anything out of the ordinary.
Exhausted, and the afternoon sun rising, the party looks at the scene. Four dead bodies stain the small town road. Crows begin to hover above them, waiting for a meal.
Before the party can compose themselves, a chubby man in dirty clothes approaches them.
"What are you doing you fools!!! We can't have murder and mayhem in the streets! Answer for yourselves or I may lock you up! The Rebrands are just a mercenary group. They don't mean any trouble. Just swellswords. Now we have to worry about retaliation because you all decided to spill red cloak blood! Bah!!!" The chubby man scratches his ass and burps, before composing himself, trying to look regal in his disheveled clothes.

Adolmain speak “As a man of God we would never draw blood without reason. We made every effort to disuade these men from their goal to spill blood in your noble streets. I am sure a man of your high status and rank can understand that and we too would like to offer some recompense at the injustice that has been done on their behalf it seems fitting that you receive the money they had to aid you in maintaining this town.” Adolmain hands him 4 gp 10 sp and 20.copper persuasion17

The man looks around nervously, and quickly grabs the coin when none of the wandering townspeople aren't noticing.
"Ahh…..yes, that sounds about right" he says as he pockets the coin from Adolmain. "You men,"" he says, looking nervously at Rastin and Autzen, "were just minding your own business and these thugs attacked you…yes….yes….that's what happens." he stammers.
"My name is Harbin Wester" he says, trying to sound regal. "I'm the townmaster, duly elected by the fine, but ungrateful, people of Phandalin. This town could use some people like you. We've had some trouble with these damn Orcs murdering and looting people. They much more trouble than these irrelevant red cape lads you just dispensed with. You all seem to be men of coin and combat. How about I hire you on behalf of this town to take down an Orc camp. 100 GP for the group? What say you?"
A bit shocked that money earned with blood is now being casually handed to this imbecile, Autzen slips into his native language without giving it thought, “Wma zmy oftc vory haf?!”

"Hey hey hey!!" the town leader says, clearly shaken and scared. "I'm a business man, and your fine comrade is also a business man. Let's do business together devil man. Coin is our common language! Take care of those Orcs for me and you'll get this money back, and more!!"
Adolmain says “let me confer with my associates . How many suspected orcs and how far away is this camp?” Adolmain then asks the others in private what they think as killing more orcs sounds good to Adolmain as orcs are a vile pestilence that plagues the honest citizenry.

"You do that! 100 GP! Imagine the ale you can buy! The women! As for the orc camp, they are hidden somewhere in one of the many caves at The Crag"
The self proclaimed mayor of the town points his chubby fingers to the northeast. In the distance you see a mountain range, roughly 20 miles away.
"They orcs are probably up in the Sword Mountains. They have been harassing settlers on the Triboar Trail. I have no idea how many there are, but there are rumors they are lead by a gigantic Orc, who doesn't even bother looting his victim. Scoundrels they are. Who knows what riches they hold, all from ill-gotten gains from stealing and killing."
