OCC: First, DAMN Jabthar ! You better name that crossbow and start sleeping with it. 3 shots and hits. You can now claim proficiency with the it. Add a +2 to your attack roles.
Second, 5e doesn't just double crits, like previous. You actually role the damage die twice... for example: (1d6+2) normal + (1d6) for the crit. But the goblin was a goner with just the normal hit.
Nicholas watches in shock as the goblin slumps down in front of him, his friend standing behind, grasping a still bloody crossbow bolt. He freezes for just a moment; then, his head clearing, he spins around.
Adrenaline coursing through his veins, Nicholas rushes up the slope to try to catch the fleeing spearman and try to put him down.
Attack: 15 Damage: 4
OOC: Doesn't matter, but this was with the longsword - that wasn't clear in my post.
Nicholas catches the fleeing spearman and drives the bolt into the the fleeing goblin's back, dropping it to the ground and sending it to see Maglubiyet.

Sizing up the moving target with another rock, this time slighty smaller to increase the range, the half-elf throws another rock in a 45 degree arc with as much strength as he can muster, the slides down the scree and picks up a bow and quiver of his own.

Seeing another chance at a shot, Eurim reloads, his hands moving between the cluster of arrows on the ground next to him and the crossbow's salted wooden frame with now familiar speed. He targets the last archer (if that archer is out of range or behind cover, then switch the target to the remaining spear-goblin instead).
Eurim, a natural crossbowman, lets his bolt fly over Janey's head as she rushes to catch up with the fleeing goblin. The bolt takes it squarely in the back.
As the goblin stumbles, Janey swipes her dagger across its shoulder blades.
It begins to fall to the ground, even as Lyle's attack makes sure the creature is rightfully dead..

As a pile of spoils from the battle is amassed, Janey's eyes light up at the sight of rations among the weapons and cloaks. "Food" she exclaims. Choosing one of the goblin rations, she tears into the hard bread with her teeth. She then wraps herself in one of the smaller cloaks, and sits to refuel her body with food and warmth.
Taking in this relative comfort, she looks around to assess their new circumstances. (In particular, has this ravine given us shelter from the wind and what time of day is it?) perception 16
Eurim leans back against a boulder in the bottom of the ravine, surrounded by the dead corpses. He eases back and feels the piercing wound of the arrow. "Got the wurgym." he mutters, gently removing the arrowhead. While definitely wounded, a slightly cleaner bit of a cloak serves as an impromptu bandage, and his natural constitution soon allows him to rise and join the others as they parse out the loot. He hefts a battleaxe, grinning slightly as if recalling old memories. "Since there's a surplus..."
Lyle gathers 3 of the daggers, 3 rations, and 3 cloaks. He walks to Nicholas and uses one of the cloaks to wipe Nick’s face. “This is... dirtier work than usual, eh partner? Needs must when the devil drives, I suppose. Here, take a cleaner one.” And hands another cloak to him, and one of the ration packs.
Lyle sits and stares at the tied up old man, while slowly eating the rations. In between bites, he tries to cut the bloodied cloak down to try and make a sling. He knows it probably won’t hold up well in the long run, but it’s better than nothing, and there aren’t enough bows for everyone.
