The ghosts in attendance are eating up Ted's and Ty's jam, though, so it's going great! If anything, it's getting a little too loud, though. Tony's off-beat wailing on the drums demand it.
Horse Face was loving the show at first, but he's starting to look a little uncomfortable. He raises his hands to his ears and starts to shout, "All right! All right! That's pretty good! That's enough! That's ENOUGH!"
The theater disappears, and you find yourselves on the darkened streets of Brooklyn once again. It looks as though you're back in 1989!
Directly in front of you is a gaudy storefront. Actually, it's the exact same building you were in just a short while ago in the 1920's, but now...
There's still no sign of Jean, Miles, or Ruhi. Horse Face is standing directly beside the door, however. He waggles a finger in his rubber ear and says (a little loudly), "I'd be lying if I said that wasn't the best show I've seen in a while, but... Well, it's over now. I'm sure I'll get my hearing back eventually"
He gestures to the arcade, the neon lights are just starting to flicker to life as the last light of evening begins to give way to night. "Just got the checkered flag from the boss man; he's waitin' for ya." He glances around. "Say, weren't there more of you all a little while ago? Word of advice, and I'm really not supposed to do this: your gonna need all the help you can get in there. I thought I heard a scuffle on the roof just up there." He points to the top of a 3 story apartment building across the street. "I'm not saying it's your pals, but... Well, Nuckelavee is partial to red heads, as I understand it."
Horseface opens a door in the air that wasn't there just a moment ago. "Oh, and Lillian" he turns and looks at Tony, "You'd better find the monkey king before I find you"
Can I Insight that book, like if it has compulsion effects or something? Tony’s plan is just to start crossing out names, but his willingness concerns me
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As Mezu offers the book and pen, Tony slides the same small stone from before into his own hand as he takes the book. As he takes the pen, a faint glow emanates from the stone and a white tiger outline flashes in his eyes, “So, I just sign here-“ In an instant, there are two Tonies. One wears a white vest and holds the book, while the other wears a black vest and is empty handed. However, both Tonies finish the sentence in unison, “Right?”
Tony’s mind flashes back to how he obtained this item on one of the leaps. He had met up with a man by the name of Jackie Chan and fought a shadow organization seeking to resurrect a dragon demon. He had stolen the talisman from a tiger and had really meant to give it back...
In any case, TonyA quickly signs the name, “Lil’ Big Tony” and (17) goes to strike it out!
Tony B, with black vest and curly goatee, hucks a hunk of asphalt from the sidewalk at Horse Face's horse face. It connects with a thunk and blood spurts inexplicably from the death' gods rubber snout. In that moment, Tony A gets the chance to write and strike out his name from the book of death. Tony is now immortal in this world!
"Are you KIDDING me?!" he snarls, one hand over his bleeding nose. Bent over in pain, he snaps his free hand... and suddenly Horse Face is gone. Or, more accurately, the illusion that shrouded him is dispelled. Standing by the entrance to the arcade is a ten-foot stone guardian. Horse-headed and wielding a thick sword of pure jade, it bellows at you with the voice of a hundred horses.
Taking advantage of your distraction, Tony B plucks the black notebook from Tony A's hands. "I'll be taking that, sweetums, if you don't mind." He tucks it away into the breast pocket of his black vest. "I have QUITE a few names to write down. If you all would excuse me?" And with that, he dashes out into the darkening streets of Brooklyn. Horse Face, in his stone guardian form, takes a swipe at you all with his jade sword before sheathing the blade, dropping to all fours, and making chase after Tony B.
(PHEW! You're nearly there! Tony B has drawn away the Guardian of the Eastern gate, and you all can enter the Devil's Arcade! One important note: Tony B looks like himself, whereas Tony A (played by JC) is still in Jason Yi form. A second important point: Jean is still missing, and you might want to check out the rooftop across the street from where you stand to follow Horse Face's tip. Let me know if you want to take a pot shot at the god before he leaves!)
Perspicacious is worried about their missing team members, and urges Ted to heed the advice of horse face. Ted seems disappointed he's no longer performing, but obliges, unwittingly.
"Dudes, we seem to be missing some of our most righteous companions. I know that the arcade holds many delights, but we should totally get the band all together first,"says Ted. With his guitar strapped to his back, and his amp in hand, Ted heads for the building roof top where his friends might be.
Tony blinks, and chuckles to himself, “Well, quite a turn of events, wouldn’t you agree? I must say, that was quite the risky maneuver, but as they say, ‘veni, vidi, vici.’ Well, my compatriots, I believe that we have a world to save.”

"What are you TALKING about?" Tonya asks, taking a break from walking along an imaginary line on the plush red carpet of the lounge. "Who is 'the Fonz' and what does he have to do with the portal mirror not working?"
Cordelia gives the polished silver mirror another smack. "Arthur Fonzarelli? You should really look into more Earth stuff. It's wild." She smacks it once more with a balled fist and suddenly the image on the screen flickers back to life. "Oh, sweet, it worked! Ehhhhhh!" she crows with two thumbs up. Suddenly, though, her jaw drops as she stares at the image on the screen. Tonya walks up silently next to her to view a scene of... carnage.
"Oh..." she says, raising her hands to her mouth. "Oh, we missed a lot..."
[Back to the action! We've decided to jump ahead to the arcade due to a number of reasons that mostly come down to sloppy storytelling on my part. But hey, the gang's back!]
Tony B wipes the sweat off his brow and smooths his black goatee. "Wow. That one died HARD." He nudges Tony A. "But hey, nice shot to his nuts, bro." He squints. "Her nuts, I mean. Didn't think you had it in you."
The party is gathered on the roof across from the Devil's Arcade. The rooftop is in shambles. The radio tower and water cistern are both destroyed. Major Miles is propped against a pile of rubble, blood streaming from a half dozen wounds- Ruhi tends to him silently, her green eyes flashing. In the middle of this little tableau lies the smoking husk of a bus-sized beast. It's very much like a centaur, with a horse's body and the torso of an extremely muscular woman. Two heads protrude from its neck: one that of a ghoulish stallion, and the other that of a blue mohawked woman with eyes of flickering flame. Nuckelavee, the third horseman, speaks from her human head in that deeply accented brogue as she dies.
"We... are.. Nuckelavee... Yes, we are. Died, we did... Died again and again did we..." Her fiery eyes fixate on Perspicacious/Ted. "Why, little sister? Why fight? You... would gain... as much... as we..........."
And with that, the ghost sighs, crumbles to ash, and fades away.
Tony blinks, “Frankly, I’m just surprised it happened so quick. I suppose we couldn’t horse around, wouldn’t you agree?” Tony laughs as he puts a hand on Tony B, “But, seriously, get in me.”
