the city seems lively as you walk down the road towards the town centre. you can see easily that this city is very well off. having many well crafted buildings with dwarven stonework details and plaster covered timber. however as you walk further and into the town centre, you all notice that the markets seem baron. even with the cityfolk putting on a happy appearance, its plain to see that no produce has been able to make its way into the city.
you follow scarlette, who goes up a winding trail leading to the top of a hill. along the pathway there are many alleyways that look like they could easily lead to thugs or other lurking things. however, as you get further up, a two story log cabin is very noticeable from the road. the roof slanted, revealing three large chimneys that billow smoke into the sky, though you see an unsettling numbers of small shadows perched above.. as you get closer still, a large brass sign in the shape of a raven takes your eyes, with the words "millennium raven" underneath.
scarlettes group walks straight through the doors and into the building, while she stands outside and outstretches her arms.
"welcome friends, to the Malt Raven. a fan favourite for all adventurers, so long as you have coin."

'Phiberin notices the fine stonework and architechture of the city, as well as the gaunt faces and hungry stares of the people pretending to be happy, forgetting to keep an eye on Scarlett and her cohorts like he'd promised himself that he would. As he walks up to the tavern's door beside his new friends though, he gives the place a once over and, with a cheeky grin, says to the big woman who guided them here,'
"Not too shabby, I have to admit. Nice sign that and this city has some decent looking buildings. The people here don't look too happy though, but who's worried about that when you have elegant archways and steeples, right."

immediately as you all walk through the doorway you are all greeted with the blissful smell of freshly baked foods, newly opened meads, and roasted meats. the tavern looks fairly popular on first glance, and built for it, having a high arched ceiling and beautiful stonework decorating the floor. the room reaches almost 60 feet to the back wall, where another doorway looks like it leads to a bear garden. as you walk through and pass the tables, you look right and see the bar, which stretches the entire length of the building, with a server and taps every 10 ft. you also see that there is a large stage towards the far left of the room.
Zailith looks around the room and sees that everyone in the tavern looks like they are trying to have a good time. there seems to be a few rogue types walking around, but nothing out of the ordinary.
before you can make it towards any tables, a barmaid approaches you. "table for how many?"she asks, in a hurry.

"alright ill get that food order going." she smiles and leaves. youre unsure whether she has taken a liking to you or is just being friendly as her job. (may make an insight if you like) a few minutes later, she returns with a half loaf of beautifully crisped bread covered in the rendered fat, along with two large round pies, both steaming hot.
"the pies are 2sp each and the bread is 5 copper."
"as for you 'fresh fish', i assume youre the adventurers we were expecting. the guard capn' should be around here somewhere."
you all look around and do spot the half orc captain from the docks. he is sitting at the bar talking to one of the dwarves at the ale tap near the rear door.
