Name: Mere
Race: Water Genasi
Class: Drunken Master Monk
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Background: Entertainer
Age: 35
Ability scores: 161113121811
Backstory: Mere was born to a woman touched by genie. They lived in a port town, and so Mere became accustomed to life near the ocean. He learned to play the Lyre at a young age, and would often play for the sailors in one of the local taverns. As he grew older, Mere would spend most of his time traveling from port to port, paying his way with his music.
During his travels, Mere found that he loved tavern life. The drinks, the people, the gaming. He often would find himself in trouble, usually due to gambling. Mere soon found he was best without a weapon, and would often feign weakness to get his enemies to underestimate him. He honed his skills and soon became better at getting himself out of trouble than getting into it.
Preferred position: Surgeon, but he'll accept just about any role outside of battle.
Stats: Point buy
Darian was born in a dirt poor fishing village on the edge of civilization, cut off from the world. As he aged, he learned the typical skills of a youth in his situation, but he also discovered a deep connection to the divine. His prayers were the most fervent, his attention to the stories unwavering. When the raiders came, he joined the rest of the village in their prayers for protection... but only his was answered. The first miracle came when the raiders decided to take him, and several of the other children as slaves rather than killing them outright. The second came in the form of the storm that smashed their ship to pieces, and blew him, and only him, safely to shore. The next part of Darian's life was spent wandering from village to village in service of his god, spreading the protection and blessings of Valkur.
Today, Darian seeks to expand his mission, taking his vengeance to the pirates and raiders of the North. He'll join just about any privateer crew willing to take him on and grant proper respect to his god, if it means making more of those brigands bleed.
