So the Sleeping Giant is not as nice as the Inn, if anything its in comparison to a biker bar so all they serve is Grog. You all sit at a table and speak to Wallace. (OOC if you want to get some info out now is the time so roll for investigation checks)
Trying not to look disgusted at the grog, Ree'lyn unfolds his parchment paper, ink and pen taking notes as he speaks. - "So, I can hand one of your men a signed note naming you as the trading contact here in Phandalin, once we agree with what you need and what you can offer in exchange. Let's say, for starters, ingredients for mead and destinated beverages. You may even get some nice piece of equipment for a small brewery and distillery to make the best out of these ingredients I am going to provide. You are going to be known among the best. We can even think of a festival of sorts to help advertising for these products." - writing in topics and detailed paragraphs, Ree'lyn describes needs and how would the present companions play their role in the upcoming enterprises; equipment for the band members, strategies of scouting the neighboring areas, the possibility of training the men in specific skills, areas that could be cultivated in town and the supplies brought from other places, artisans to offer their skills using the local material making a new market for those goods and how all that would fit in a kind of festival with competitions and all sorts of events and sales stands.
"Say, how long do you think this mayor will last in your pocket? He seems...weak. What does Glasstaff think of him? We need strong and committed people in power places here. Would you like to be the new mayor? What can you tell about this Glasstaff before we finally meet him?"
In response to Wallace's remark Ree'lyn says in equally low voice: - "I am glad you agree this plan will work wonders for us. Let's celebrate with your signature under these lines right here."
"Wallace...Can I call you Wallace? Don't you dream of going up the ladder? Let's keep this between us for now. Let's talk about your dreams, your plans. Here, have some more of this wonderful grog. Cheers for your future brewery and distillery. Now tell us about this Glassstaff and the manor. Who is he? Why is he important here? What is the story of that Manor?"
Glassstaff is a wizard seeking out a specific type of magic. He is looking for invisibility. The manor belonged to a lord a long time ago when the town was flourishing from the Mines. The redbrands now use it as a hide out.
"It suffices that you vouch for us when we speak to him, if you think we have to. But mark my words: a much bigger plan awaits for you. Keep it in mind. Let's strengthen our grip around this town. So, what about the mayor? Can we take him out of the way?"
Flyn was pleased that the plan to gain the Red Brands trust was working but now they were surrounded by more of them in their bar his confidence in the plan was faltering. How far were they going to go and would they be in too deep when they got caught.
On mention of a wizard his interest was peeked and he relaxed letting Ree'lyn continue so they could get close to the leader. Taking a swig of the the Grog he tried to hide his disgust and decided to just hold the brown liquid instead of drinking it.
