OOC > Asked and answered! :) Proceeding as if Rowena has been mind wiped from our consciousness. I was all ready to mourn her death, and fully willing to role-play her disappearance, but am choosing the third path. Please let me know if I should edit!
Iroona scans the area, sure that something is off, but unable to put a finger on it. She counts party members on her fingers, then once more. Shrugging, she examines the dead orcs for treasure, interesting papers, maps, or clues to magical weapon hoards.

As Iroona starts to rummage through the stuff in here you find a lot of trade goods and staples raided from travelers and nearby settlements. As she starts to investigate further, she finds an old iron cauldron under some vermin infested bedding that contains 210 GP (that must be one thicc bed - or a very uncomfortable one at least). Tearing apart another bed reveals a large topaz and two smaller onyx stones.

"I found some treasure," Iroona says, dismissing Shatterspike with a "pop!" and dumping the coins out of the shredded mattress. She looks flushed with the exertion and a growing delight in smashing things.
"I feel like something is missing, too," she says to Von's question, and she looks around suspiciously, then shrugs. "If it's part of our story, it'll come up again. We still haven't found any magical weapons, and gold is all fine and well, but that's not what the Yeomen and I have come for."

There's really nothing else in this room - it appears to have been and old guardroom for the dwarves that used to inhabit this complex, and another dead end.
Perhaps there is something you missed back in the orc commons area to get you deeper in to the mountain.

Iroona's head comes up, like she heard a voice. "Let's retrace our steps, maybe we missed something. Or we could go destroy that statue some more..." She will head back to the common room, checking for missed passages on the way.

As you enter the orc commons once again you notice a particular pile of crates and supplies to the east that may be blocking another tunnel. It is packed tight but with some work you think you could move them out of the way.
Slate looks at the crates and then nods, "Looks like there is a tunnel behind these crates...Let me get those for you Lady Iroona" she then moves up to them and begins trying to move them out of the way.
The passage leading east is blocked about 10 feet in by tightly packed crates and sacks of flour. Removing this material allows travel for another 20 feet to the east, where the tunnel ends at an iron gate stuffed with blankets and straw pallets.

OOC > Is the gate "stuffed" like someone blocked the open spaces between the bars with the blankets and stuff so we can't see past it? Or something can't see us?
"This seems a little ominous," Iroona says. "Like the orcs were trying to keep something in. Likely what we are looking for."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"I got this," Iroona says, marching up to the gate and hoisting the heavy, jagged sword up. She swings (16) at the lock with all her delightful yet puny might.

With a wet meaty slap - the last orc goes down in a rumpled damp pile.
Combat over! :D
Somehow.....in all the fighting and confusion you don't see Rowena anymore

Slate
Slate watched Iroona search the room but addressed the party as a whole, "Anyone hurt? Those Orcs were nasty!"
Von nods. I’m alright. Anyone else?

"Fine!" says Iroona from over where she is ripping apart the orc bedding with her large serrated magical sword.

Von nods. Good. He looks around. Are we missing someone? Palaemon looks around confused, missing something (obviously)

"Well if everyone is good then" Slate didn't wait really, after Iroona said she was fine her interest waned.

Slate shrugged, "Sounds good to me" and then followed Iroona out, winking at the others as she did so.

OOC: Would it be difficult to unstuff the iron gate? Does it have a visible lock or keyhole?

"Pop!" Shatterspike materializes in Iroona's hand.
"I can take care of the gate," she says confidently, apparently forgetting she has to actually hit something to break it.

Von smirks at the straw and blankets. Can we light it on fire? Less work, more reward.

The lock is rusted shut - and as far as the gate itself - it looks like the orcs jammed all the stuff in the holes to block them up for some reason.
Iroona - if you're gonna swing at the gate - just give me an attack roll to make sure you don't crit fail :P
Vonman - if you set the stuff on fire - you'd still have to deal with the iron door - there just wouldn't be anything blocking all the holes in it
