And now for something completely different......(DM: Argent) [Random Character Generation]

Flint will cast Blade Ward , "You won't get me again, Singing Blade!" He will point menacingly at the sword and shake his body from his head to his toe. The Nashbae Tower's many secrets that tried to kill him. Luckily, he was faster than a floating sword. 

((OOG Flint will be in the back, with the axe beak behind him. )) 

Sir Aldon will lead from the front. 

OOC: Slate is also near the front carrying the lit shield.

Slate

Slate points to the sword, "Looks new, or unaffected by age. Could be dwarven made, or magical perhaps" 

"If it starts singing, you'll want to be as far away from it as you can be. Never trust a shiny sword to be your friend..." Flint will trail off and mumble under his breath, "...or your lover." He will mumble heartbrokenly. 

Slate

Slate raises a brow at the Halfling, "Swords are tools...not friends, got it. Master of the tower, do you have any way of seeing if it is magical?"

"Do I have any way of seeing if this is magical? HA! What kind of master of the arcane do you take me for? I don't study trinkets, mind you, I pull the weave until it gives me the power I need to break the coil. I will not be able to inform you of... of...of... THAT... things possible or even probable powers. I say leave it alone, leave it alone before it takes you!"  Flint casts Blade Ward again as he finishes speaking to Slate. "That moss on the body, that could come in handy. Yes, yes, yes... I wonder how the weave could be bent playing with such a unique compound."

His eyes open wide as he thinks about all the fun he could have. 

((OOG this random character really does not have Detect Magic or Identify...lol :P gotta play with what I got haha ))

Slate

"A simple no would do" Slate said, her eyes narrowing, "We are here for treasure, that mold though does project caution, do we have a hook, or something we can snag it without approaching the mold?." 

"I thought I did say no?" Flint says with a shrug. 

Flint send the axe beak forward to gather some moss. It will start at the shoulder and with Flint's coaching pull it back like a blanket. 

As the Axebeak approaches the skeleton and touches the mold it explodes in to a 10 foot radius cloud around the axebeak - anyone who may have been that close to the axebeak must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or take 12 poison damage and become poisoned for 1 minute.  At the end of this time, unless the poisoned condition is removed, the creature must repeat the saving throw, taking 16 poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

So at least Gmoat will need to roll for the axebeak.....

OOC > There is no way in all the green valleys of the Cotswolds that Iroona is within 10' of the skeleton/shroom combo. She has learned that lesson.

"Oh!" Iroona says loudly as the mushrooms explode, and then covers her mouth and nose with her sleeve.

OOC: Slate was standing back trying to decide how to get at the sword without going near the moss. Holy crap though, that's some poison damage!

Slate

Slate startled back as the mushrooms and mold exploded, "By the lord of thunder, what was that?"

"Oh no! That doesn't look good, no, not good at all." Flint slowly walks backward away from area of the exploding moss. Never know how quickly that stuff can spread. "It'll be okay, buddy...just pull that moss back and take it over there." Flint points down along the wall away from everyone. 

"Tried warning you, shiny swords are nothing but trouble!" He will reiterate to Slate as he pulls the last days' fuzzball out of his bag. 

The Axe beak stands there very very wobbly on their legs in the middle of the cloud of spores.  And if a bird could sneeze it would.......they are now poisoned as the spores slowly float to the ground around it.

OOC: Sir Aldon is useless with magic, so he wouldn't have approached that sword.

Flint casts Gust towards the axe beak. Trying to blow the spores away from the bird and the party (most importantly away from the party.)

the spores blow away from the party......

"I had a sister once who could just pick things up with magic, like she had a magic hand at her beck and call," Iroona says. "That would be useful right now. It's too bad we're such a random assortment of people."

Does anyone want to maybe try and make a nature or survival check to see if they can figure out anything about the mold?
