And now for something completely different......(DM: Argent) [Random Character Generation]

Y'all find yourself standing at the base of the long staircase in this cavern (RED X) near the banks of the river flowing to the south through the wall.

Is the river deep? Fast? Iroona is concerned about crossing it, given her (randomly generated) physical weaknesses. She will move towards it (one square southeast) to take a look.

Give me an investigation check then :)

Iroona approaches the river and peers into it, trying to investigate its crossableness...

Investigation: 9

The river is about five feet wide and fairly fast moving but seems to only be a few feet deep.

"Do we want to cross?" she asks the rest of the silent party.

The river flows out of a crevasse in the wall to the north and heads in to another smaller tunnel to the south.  The only other exits you can see are directly across from you and another tunnel to the southeast.

Von shrugs. Why not? Von smirks. If you wish, we can assist whoever goes last.

(sorry! Family’s been sick. A kidney biopsy, and a kidney stone... in the same kidney. Ouch.)

OOC > I know people have things (some extremely painful, ow!), I was making a light jest... and Von is now speaking in the personal plural? Ack. :)

"Um," Iroona regards the water. "Maybe just a rope, someone can hold?" she shrugs prettily, making knot tying motions with her empty hands.

(Meant anyone else who crosses, if it comes to Von and Pal. Heh :) )

Slate

Slate nods, "I'll go first" she heads towards the stream and begins to wade in

Ok - Slate is now on the other side of the river with wet feet

Iroona, feeling foolish, lifts her practical skirts and wades across.

Von will do the same, locking Up Palaemon first. No biggie, just wet.

There are basically 4 exits other than the stairs - you can try to go upstream through the tunnel, downstream through it's tunnel, east or south east.

Slate

Slate looked to the Tunnel to the east and nodded, "Lets head this way" she then made her way towards that tunnel, looking about cautiously.

Iroona will follow Slate, peeking around her bulk.

Von nods. Ok, let’s do that I guess.

As the party heads through the eastern tunnel it opens up in to another large cavern.  Several passages branch away from this room.. To the north, a carved, square-mouthed tunnel shows that someone has been at work in these caves. A gate of rough-hewn timber blocks a small passage to the northeast. Three other passageways wind off toward the south. A heavy animal smell lingers in the air.
