"If you shrieking your head off didn't bring anyone around, I'm not sure knocking will either," she teased, smirking over her shoulder at Arxius.
Instead, she'll slowly and carefully try the south door and see if it opens.
You turn the iron handle and the door slowly creaks open. The sound of rusty hinges breaks the long silence and stabs at your ears. What little light you have illuminating the broken tower room spills out through the opening and into the new room. You can’t make out much detail from where you are standing in the threshold, but you do see the room is made out of more roughly hewn grey stone.

(Thought they were iron rings, not a handle) (Not trying to nit pick) (Is this the door that was previously barred?)
Chatra pipes up, “Hey Alten that’s great that you are trained to be war leader and all, but who died and nominated you leader of this party? We’re all mercenaries here.. not war machines. Well.. at least not all of us.” He thumbs at Talien.
You mistake either my words or my meaning Chatra. I'm not a leader here.
I said I was trained to lead warriors. It is my vocation and my calling. I assume, just like you trained to be a performer. At least I assume you trained in some manner.
This party has no leader, at least as I understand the word. We are a collection of individuals working for the same thing. We are oppertaing on consenus, or at least affirmation.

"I guess we're going through this door then. Unless our leader objects," she says, glancing over at Alten with a smirk.
Alten raises his eyebrow at this.
As I just told Chatra a moment ago, my earlier words must have been less than clear. I'm not the leader here. Were I the leader, I wouldn't have asked which door people wanted to go thru. I would have told you which one.
And just for the record, since I don't remember either of my parents nor know anything about my family lineage, I don't appreciate being called half-breed. He shoots her a grin. I could be a quarter-breed, or three fourths, or five eights for all you know.

All that matters is that we find the items and people we are looking for. If I get more practice at war then that is a bonus. It matters not what order I proceed in, but make sure that if there is something to fight, to let me fight it. Talien says.

Alten, since the broken tower room is circular your view into the next room (which is rectangular 20W x 40L) is obstructed. You are looking into the next room at a 45 degree angle and are only able to make out the back wall which is made of the same roughly hewn grey stone material. The air in the new room wafts through the open door and smells a tad more stale and musty than the room you are currently in. Scanning the area and the floor leading up to the back wall you can see their is some debris, but not as much as in your current room. You do not see any obvious traps, or hear any noises.
You’ll have to go through the door single file, then can pair off once over the threshold. The room is a rectangle with the Northeastern corner cut off. The longer walls (about 40ft each) face West and East and the shorter walls (20ft) are to the North and South. The North wall is only 15ft since the Broken Tower room cuts into it. You’re entering from the Southwestern door. Let me know if that is confusing.
DM Note: So, for marching order I have: Alten, Arxius, Grom, Talien, Rees, and Chatra. Then you’ll pair off when you get through.
Edit: You can ignore the footnote for now, I might need it later though.
The masonry walls of this twenty-foot-wide hall are in poor repair. The far end has collapsed, filling the southern section with rubble. The western wall is in much better shape than the other walls, and it holds a stone door with the shape of a dragon head carved onto it. The door has a single keyhole, situated in the middle of the dragon’s head.
Is the door we entered the 'barred' door or the unbarred door?
If it was the barred door, I would like to set the piece of wood on this side so once we shut it nobody can bar us in from this side.
If it is not the barred door, I would like to leave that door barred
- Talien
Also if this is our marching order and Arxius is a ranged attacker, she can move back and swap me places if we fall under attack (if we see it coming and it is not an ambush) I assume
