Bernal cries with pain from the acid damage and retorts casting Chromatic Orb at the creature reasoning that it may be vulnerable to fire damage (Attack: 15 Damage: 14).

The spell hits as it does the ooze color changes to the color of the fire. (Its not immuned to fire) 

The Ooze here's the call but first will use its multi attack seeing the Phoenix still in front of it The Matter Ooze can make two pseudopod attacks but attack Bernal once. To Hit:23 Damage: 10 Acid Damage 6

DC save 20 the Ooze somehow manages to successfully dodge the flame 

Hesken will move in close to the ooze and swing his greataxe at it. (Attack: 11 Damage: 4 Slashing)

Hesken will miss the ooze but by a foot.

The left path you are on you'd now there is a supply area nearby you would also know the creature you hear the sounds of destroys weapons and armor and is a way out.

Bernal decides to retreat, taking the disengage action, as he is badly wounded and tries to get as far from the monster as possible. He says "I don't think I can take another hit, I'll cast something as soon as I'm some distance away from it", while preparing to react with Shield if the monster attacks him again.
