I’m up for a quiet butchers about the place. If we see something worth disposing of then we can but we at least will know the layout of the tunnel network before we have to flush the rats out. Crash looks to the others I imagine we can be pretty sneaky if we want to be
Decision made the grouo goes to the house they investigated on their first day as greys.
The house is sealed shut and two Watchmen are standing in front. They give a salute when you approach and open the seal to let you all in.
In the lower section of the house the trap is shut and the lock is closed. You can easily see that the lock as been changed and that the key was left on the desk.
The bard takes the key, opens the lock and with a theatrical "one... two... three!!"she opens it and makes a bow inviting the others to go inside. "After you my fellow Wolves..."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Crash will climb down the ladder and will try to avoid standing in the stream. Can he see if the tunnel heads in multiple directions or does it go in just one?
Perception (disadvantage from darkness I assume) 9
“Don’t tell me... it’s a sewer.” Xana sighs, joining Crash and summoning her rapier with a flourish, “Only we could end up on sewer detail while investigating a gang.”

Crash. It seems that you are at a dead end and that the ladder is the only way in or out.
In front of you is a tunnel and several feet is another tunnel going in both direction making it look like a T. The water plunges under the wall in front of you into a grid hole.
You can't see where the two ways go from where you are standing. There are no light source coming from either ways.
Seb unlatches his hooded lantern and brings a little light into the sewer. "What were you planning on doing? Feeling around until you got lost and eaten by the Xanathar?" He flashes Crash a devilish grin.

Nah ex slave tastes bad. I heard he likes salted pirate. Crash will edge up to the t junction and look left and right. Ideally trying to work out which tunnel direction is likely to head towards the Sea Ward and known criminality
Seb steps up to the T-Junction and squints through the darkness before setting the lantern on a nearby ledge. "How about I take the right and Fruli takes left in a quiet animal form?" Seb suggests. "We see what we can find for a hundred feet or so, then report back to give us some information before we choose a direction?"
At the T junction Seb goes right and seems to melt into the darkness. The tunnel goes straight for a while then opens into a room. There is a single closed door on the other side. Up there is a hole in the ceiling that goes directly to the streets. Several grids spaced evenly close the hole.
Directly under the opening is a pile of refuse that smells a lot.
Rats scatter when you approach.
The door on the other side is wooden, closed and has a red hand crudely painted on it.
Crash after peeking to the right you look to the left and see that the tunnel runs for 40 feet before ending in a dead-end.
Xana looks at the walls in the initial section of the tunnels, looking for any kind of markings or notations, scratches, anything that doesn’t look like natural imperfections.
Assuming investigation: 5

Seb will gingerly edge around the pile of refuse, using the tip of his cutlass to gently press on each brick before he shifts his weight to it. He'll then approach the door and listen at it, then slip his mirror beneath it to try and make out what's on the other side. Following this, he'll take out a small knife and carefully run it along the door frame to search for any hidden traps or mechanisms. All the while he'll make sure to keep an eye on the refuse pile, and will bolt at the first sign of a disturbance - he witnessed the ferocity of an otyugh firsthand during his time in Skullport.

Xana does see marks but they make no sense to her. ( Anyone with the Criminal background? )
Seb's alertness saves his life. While he is looking for traps on the doorframe he sees the pile move once more. It seems two coordinated to be natural and all of a second the pile goes up, taking the shape of a humanoid creature but with no distinct forms.
( OOC: You are not surprised. Init for all. The creature will move last. )

Alright I won’t tell you it’s a sewer. Got a t junction up ahead but I can see bugger all down here
