Doing the lost mines of Phandelver. A single player has dropped out.
Need a frontline player so barbarian, paladin, fighter etc preferred.
Will end recruiting tomorrow around the same time as this post is going out tonight. Looking for players with solid RP skills, please no one line wonders. So Include:
Duncan recently graduated from the swordmaster academy. So he's been trained as a solider, as well as in tactics, therefore he specializes in up front combat. He's a bit rough around the edges, just out of the academy. Other than battle maps and weapons training he finds books more useful to use to keep himself warm at night than reading though, so he isn't the smartest tool in the box. He's now on his way to work with a noble house, though traveling along the way heard of the issues in Phandelver and decided he'd stop to test his new skills in the real world before he commits himself.
Just finishing his military service at a local keep earning the rank of Captain for the realm he has decided to become a body guard for hire finding the role challenging switched to wagon trains after a few wagon trains and cattle drives from town to town he has become bored and decided to look for a group of adventurers to join. Coming across your help wanted poster he decided to inquire and awaits an interview in the morning.
Are you just using Point Buy for creation? What level is everyone currently?
I have a Human Fighter I'd been using but that campaign dropped. It'd be nice to get him back.

Thank you for reminding me. Was in a Minor rush to get the post out before dinner.

One Paragraph Backstory: Born deep in the jungles Tabaxi call home, Seven Thunderclouds grew up hearing stories of adventures that fascinated her. She continued to think of them while training with the rest of the cubs, learning to fight and climb and learn what the Cat God had blessed them with. She discovered as she came of age that her fasination wasn't just childhood wimsy, it was wonderlust. That's what the Cat God blessed her with, the willingness to go out and gather new stories for her people, to share and laugh over. She set out that very day, with only a brief farewell to her parents. They knew why she was leaving, so they only asked that she bring back more stories.
Raised as a young noble of Waterdeep amidst the decadent and oppoulent wealth of House Sunshard, Ander never wanted for anything... anything except a life with meaning beyond the greedy accumulation of coin and power. The platinum and silver smeltery and exhange that his father owned ensured the family's fortune and standing, as it had for ten generations and more, but it offered nothing to feed the soul and spirit of a boy who yearned to become a true hero and to do real good in the world. All but disowned by his family when he decided to enter Lathander's service as a devotee within the Spires of the Morning, Ander spent the next four years as an initiate, then disciple, then adherent of the Morning Lord, learning holy Lathander's teachings and prayers, before emerging on his twentieth name day as an annointed paladin - a recognised champion of the Order of the Aster. Having set out from Waterdeep with little more than basic equipment, the blessings of his mentors and the disdain of his family, Ander felt emboldened by his honour and faith, certain that a destiny of great service awaited him out on hard trails of the Sword Coast.
D&D is a game, but it's not just a game. It's the ultimate storyboard, a campfire to share with friends, an imaginary call to imaginary arms and a ship to sail to horizons yet undreamt of...
Born to a relatively poor family, Elst lived what should have been a mediocre childhood in his small Elven city. However, because of how strange his appearance was, he was never really accepted in his community. However, once his minor magical skill began to surface, he was quickly scooped up and trained by a criminal organization. His first mission was to get on the bodyguard of a minor noble and let members of his organization into the noble's mansion. Elst had a (rather foolish) idea, to betray his criminal organization to curry favor with the noble, who seemed very important to the Genasi. However, his plan of trying to defeat his former allies ended miserably, and he was cast out by both parties, barely escaping with his life.
To all those who were not selected, I wish you luck in the next attempt! There were two people who were all but completely tied for the top spot. And I was only looking for one, unfortunately. In any case, thank you all for your time and interest! And perhaps we'll play together somewhere else in the future!
