And with those blows from the gals, it was, indeed, very finished. The hot Avernian wind was the only sound audible as the last of the bone treants crumbled and moved no more. The hut in the center has been destroyed, and large bones of the dead treants litter the ground. Everyone except Misha and Gorf get 10 honor or 10 glory, and 200 gold total.
Jill collects her reward and then rushes everyone back the vehicles, so that they can head back to home base. Once there, she rushes through the BaneArch, trying to see if she didn't somehow take her and Meep back home. And if she doesn't find her there, she returns back to base and mourns her fallen friend.

Nik Nak pants as the treants go down. "Okay great, that's dealt with. Should we stop by War Command to see if any of the mages there can help us with the bag?"
When Jill's search in Acheron proved fruitless, her heart sank. She sent out a prayer to Bane before returning to Avernus. Bane, rends-moi forte et courageuse, comme Misha l'était*When she returned to Avernus, she sought out Amelia and started to just talk, venting out her feelings. "When I met Misha, I was alone and had been for quite some time. And I was distrustful and bitter. I certainly did not think that I would come to make friends with a boisterous warrior who had an infinite wonder about the world. But she respected me. How strong I was, how I refused to die. It was hard for me not to love her. She was like a sister to me. I never told her that, but I did not need to."
"When she left and I was alone again, I still thought of her. I thought of how wherever she was, whatever she was doing, she was thinking of me and believing that I would be strong enough to endure whatever I was going through. I did not believe that I would ever see her again, but I believed that. Wherever she is now, I am sure that she is thinking that I can get through this."
There are some tears in Jill's eyes when she finishes speaking, but she wipes them away quickly. " I apologize for the suddenness, Madame Hiriart, but I felt that I needed to get that off my chest. Thank you for listening."
*-Bane, please make me strong and brave, like Misha was.
While no stranger to death and war, the loss of a Prime reverberates around Home Base with the Acheronians. They would have a moment of silence to mourn and honor their comrade, but there is no time, for in the War Against Hell, evil does not sleep. Created from the very blood of a God, the Primes of Acheron spearhead the offensive against the Legions of Asmodeus. You look at the bag you found in the bone brambles and find it hard to believe such a small insignificant thing caused the death of two of your friends.
At this particular point, you can long rest, and chose the next course of action.
Nik Nak invites the others to a small, impromptu service for Meep and Misha for a little closure.
"Meep and Misha were dear to us all. We don't know if they're dead or ever coming back. But for as long as they're gone, we say farewell. We hope that Misha has found her heaven in an eternal battlefield somewhere, and that Meep is content among her family. In their name, we shall fight on and finish this. Kelemvor watch over them, as Mystra and her fellow deities watch over us." She bows her head, the tiny goblin having an air of solemness and gravitas rarely exhibited.
Nok Nok lets out a sigh as his sister finishes her service. The goblin wipes the corner of his eye with his shirtsleeves, before turning away and finding a place to settle down alone. "Goodbye, Lady Meeesha," he mutters. "So long, Little Meep." He then removes his prized book from his pack, flipping through the pages and trying to let his mind wander elsewhere.

As the group returns back to base, Persephone quietly slinks away to a dark corner, unseen/unheard/unknown to everyone. A jet black crow appears, flying in lazy circles around the base until it spies what it was looking for, and swoops down. The crow finds Persephone in her shadowy nook, and the two begin an animated and tearful discussion. Shortly thereafter, the crow takes wing, and rapidly darts away, and in an instant, disappears in a puff of smoke.
